Glad you had a positive experience too!

My husband’s card arrived 5/12 so we are relieved and glad that all went well. Just thinking of the sleepless nights assembling the application documents one year ago...

    Good wishes 😊

Submitted our AOS packet 6/5/2020 and got approved 5/5/2021, took 11 months! The wait was long but worth it. I know some of you are still waiting for your applications to process. Hang in there!

Here is our experience at the NYC office:

Went for an interview on Wednesday at the NYC office with my husband for his AOS. They were very organized and efficient, surprisingly short wait! Our appointment was at 9:55 am. We arrived for security around 9:15 am and had our interview around 10:15 am. We were interviewed by Officer Morgan who was friendly and professional. She asked for the originals of our birth certificates, marriage license, daughter’s birth certificate, joint financial documents and joint tax return. She asked some basic informational questions and went through the inadmissibility questions.

We received an electronic notification that the green card was in production by that same evening.

Wishing all of you applicants a similarly positive experience if you are going to the NYC USCIS office.

*Tip: the security check is just like the airport security so be prepared to take off your shoes!

Congratulations! I had mine at the NYC office too. It was a quick interview – no small talks and straight to the point. I was approved on the spot. My card came last Tuesday.

For those who are still in the process, hang in there!

    Hello!

    Attention COVID-era Manhattan applicants:

My husband just had his biometrics appointment at the  Varick ACS. It said Code 2 on the letter but he told the agent he needed Code 3 and they processed his biometrics for Code 3 with all ten fingerprints.

We went for his 8 am appt at 7:45 am and there was a line of about 10 people outside. They let everyone in pretty quickly after 8. I wasn’t allowed to accompany my husband inside.

They had metal detectors. People were allowed to have their cell phones inside - we left ours in the car.

Overall it took him about 30 minutes. Went very smoothly!

our timeline with the RFIE is similar to yours. They requested a birth certificate listing my husband’s parents’ names. We sent one by USPS certified mail 7/20 to the NBC in Lee’s Summit MO but it is still “delayed” as of today 7/30 so we sent it again today overnight express. Fingers crossed this one is received before the furlough begins.

Got our NOAs for all 4 applications! NOA 6/11/2020, and the priority date for the I-130 and I-485 is 6/5/2020. Waiting for the biometrics appointment.

Has anyone tried doing a walk in biometrics appointment in NYC?

Sent our application 6/5 with USPS in a Priority Express overnight box, arrived 6/6 at noon. Left the signature box unchecked per previous discussions on the forum to not cause delays or the package being held for pickup, and someone actually signed for it at the Chicago Lockbox - on a Saturday, even!

The credit card charge went through today 6/10.

Fingers crossed the NOA comes soon.

    Good luck everyone!

I understood that 26-29 referred to the fiancé application you are submitting now, not any previous applications, but the wording is confusing.
