Good day, I understand that  the 60 day executive order that was suppose to expire in June has been extended, so for us who are awaiting interview dates will just have to wait until next year...what a blow...

I applied in December 2019 at the same office. I've heard nothing yet. There's several Mount Laurel applicants on the December 2019 section and no ones heard anything about interviews yet... someone got an RFE from Mount Laurel in May but that's the only person I've heard about hearing anything from that office. I honestly don't think they even started interviews yet in NJ.... Good luck, please update if you hear anything!

I applied October 9/2019 still nothing

    estimated October 2020

so guys now that the presidential proclamation has been extended I'm thinking about applying for my citizenship as I'm already eligible. I wanted to wait until my husband was here but hey now it will take time. I just wanted to know how long the process takes based on experiences. I know now with the backlog it will probably take longer but how long was it taken before that? and do you 'all think its worth it?  well I know its worth it under any circumstances but do you think it will help at some point? or will we probably still be waiting for the n-400 application to be approved by the time the ban is lifted (December hopefully)?  thanks to everyone.

I also applied for citizenship last September. I am still permanent resident now filling for F2A visa for my wife since august 2017. I don’t know this god damn proclamation of trump and what to do anymore! Everything seems no way out for now!

  4. Yesterday I sent a expedited request to the embassy and NVC. This morning I got an email from the embassy saying that

Thank you for your message. As of March 16, the United States Embassy in Algeria cancelled all routine visa services and is currently only providing emergency services for U.S. citizens. As the situation with the COVID-19 outbreak continues to develop, we are working to return to normal operations as quickly as possible, but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. It’s frustrating to just wait. Started the whole process august 29/ 2017.

After we have returned to normal operations, please email us again with your contact information and information about your situation and we will respond as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, yes, it is stuck at NVC because of the Embassy closure. You were probably among the first cases to be kept because of it.

In the same way, you should be among the first cases to be taken care of when your Embassy reopens. Jordania is dealing fine with the Covid, hopefully they re-open their Embassy quickly.

Alix can I still expedit my case even though I had DQ March 9? Should I email the embassy or nvc for the expedit?

If your case was expedited, the embassy will contact you directly to set up an interview. If you were not already DQ with the NVC, the embassy may need additional documents. We were DQ with the NVC but the embassy has still requested an additional document. There are also fews due at the time of interview to process your visa.

Can I still send an expedit even though I had DQ March 9?

Ow man, what a journey you both have been through. How tough. I am very happy for you, you have been super patient (I know you did not really had the choice, but I've seen couples dropping the whole process because it was taking too long and it was too stressful).

    CONGRATULATIONS :)
