    you can port your EB2-NIW priority date to EB-1 as long as your Eb2 I-140 is approved Adjudicating criteria for Eb-2 NIW is far lower than Eb-1. So as a Canadian i wouldnt waste money in filing both Eb-1 and Eb-2 NIW unless you have too much cash to blow through

    Yeah i would wait a bit. USCIS takes 2-3 weeks just to even open your request. i would wait for the 30 day timelines from filing the request.

    when did you apply for the duplicate receipt ? it takes a while for them to process the request. atleast 30 days for notice to arrive from the day of applying

    Yes the nunances of language usage is extremely important. Iam going to see new born baby - visa approved iam going to help my son and daughter in law during new born times - visa denied. its silly but it is what it is .

    Her case will be approved or denied based on the merits of how she presents herself to the visa officer. She should focus on the interview that she is coming to see her grand kids not help you. There should be no issues as long as she is genuine visitor coming to see her grand children.

    stem OPT is irrelevant once green card is approved. you can file the document as a symbolic gesture. It will not matter

    Yes you can inform school/employer once you get Green card in hand you no longer have STEM OPT Status. So the submission will likely be useless as it will likely get denied
