Newsjustin got a reaction from SusieQQQ in N-400 Dec 2019 Filers
Had the naturalization interview this morning (SF office) took around 20 mins and was approved. Same day oath ceremony - a couple of hours after the interview. Finally done.
best wishes to everyone.

Just read this article about layoffs at NBC
https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article242937081.html
hope this does not affect our applications (article is from May 22).

I have been radio silent for a while now here but have been catching up whenever I can. The situation for all of us stuck again sucks. Hope everyone and friends/family are well. I hope they increase the speed at which naturalization applications are reviewed since it’s an election year but that’s probably a pipe dream...

We are in the same boat here - filed after midnight and have the same issue - take a print out showing the time the email was received when you go for the interview - ( the time when the payment was processed is not your problem - you followed the law) - that’s what we plan to do....I think when you file online as long as it’s after midnight In your time zone you have a strong case....having said that it would have been better to wait till end of day just to remove any doubt - kicking myself for that as well....

Highly doubt it’s related given your n400 submission date - the n400 would only be assigned to an office after biometrics - so likely just a coincidence. You should be fine.

Giovanna - suggest you speak talk to someone at Fedex tomorrow am and just figure out the options (can they delay delivery by a day or two?) - then first thing in the morning talk to the admin at the law firm and sort it out - worst case have them return the package - you can put another package together on Monday and send it out without waiting for the return.
Your lawyers should have been more careful with this. Having worked with a lot of lawyers there is no guarantee that they have not made a mistake. Better to do the legwork than get rejected and loose the money. I believe they technically they have to check for eligibility before schedule you for biometrics but this may not always happen.

From what I have read it’s a discretionary item - meaning that it’s up to the officer that Interviews you - suggest you have a good explanation and explain the circumstances and that you have not failed to pay every month and have no intention of not completing payments...

Pretty much same experience here yesterday. This morning got notice that action has been taken:
We reviewed your biometrics
You do not need to do anything at this time
We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application.
Estimated time to completion went from 12 months (dec 2020) to 11 months (Nov 2020)

R&OC - You did not use the last spreadsheet - which resulted in my case being removed as the next person used yours. This can become messy. I will update again but for everyone else please make sure you use the most updated one. Thanks.

That’s for the waiver - but you did get your wish
“As we previously reported here, USCIS published a notice of proposed rulemaking for an adjustment of fees to meet operational needs. Today, USCIS announced an extension of the comment period on the proposed fee increases for future years from Dec. 16 to Dec. 30, 2019.”
based on this should be new year before the fees increase

I Suggest you add a line at the bottom stating continued on addition page - or something to that effect. On top of the page you continue add continued from page X section Y - Travel outside the US. If I were you I would also attach the i94 records from the website (and make sure it matches the dates you write down)
https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/
Since you are paper filing I would also add an excel spreadsheet print out (showing date left and returned and number of days out and where etc - title the sheet number of days out - include the with the total number of days calculated for them) - make it easier for them to review it
but that’s me - I probably have too much experience with government regulators lol

There is a section for additional evidence - You could just upload the extension letter there. Makes sense to ensure they see the pending i751 - I presume they have a ton of applications to go through so it can’t hurt.
