I also haven’t received mine yet. 50 days since the application was delivered. Not too worried because we called and got our receipt numbers though. Ridiculous

For anyone following along, we received our NOA and got our 3 receipt numbers for AOS, EAD, and AP nearly 6 weeks later.

Call 1-800-375-5283. As you discovered, the automated system will not allow you to proceed without a receipt number. Unfortunately you need to fib to get past the automated system. When the automated system prompts you, simply say "I would like to reschedule by biometrics appointment." When it asks you if your appointment date has already passed, answer "No." The agent who ultimately picks up the phone doesn't really care how or why you reached them. Just explain you would like to obtain your receipt number and have the A number ready.
I wouldn't worry too much. It seems that the backlog is incredibly large right now. When that check clears your account, that'll be your indication that the application is in the system.

I should clarify that we didn't receive anything in the mail yet. I actually saw the check debit from my account and I called USCIS the same day and received the receipt numbers over the phone. I'll update here when we actually get the notice in the mail.

Ken & Yana reacted to Ermehgerdd in For All K1 Visa Petitions that have Stalled at the NVC or Consulate
Never said you weren't free to post. But I'm free to point out your post serves no substantial contribution other than argumentation and further fodder to the toxicity already "noted" in these forums by various "senior members".
Again, if you want to argue the possible legal basis for these claims, feel free to reach out to Attorney Siskind. There is an argument to be made that these actions are unlawful, but im certainly not wasting my time explaining this to someone for whom it doesn't. Even. Apply.
Good night.

And why exactly would I go out of my way to provide anything to you? Nothing you've posted thus far seems to be in a supportive manner; in fact you often times come across as confrontational.
If you are legitimately concerned with the legal basis of this argument, the attorneys who are interested in our cases are listed in the original posting. Im not being rude. I'm responding appropriately to your inquisition and tone in this thread. Don't gaslight me. You're well aware of your own intentions.
This post was to advise people in the same situation as me of an option they have available. I'm not sure how this is in any way applicable to you.

I’m sure many many people in this board have been separated from their loved ones. However many of us are separated In unprecedented times during a pandemic in which borders and embassies have been closed for months, USCIS has a pending furlough, and the future of immigration is uncertain. I would have expected those who had to go through this separation before would be the most sympathetic towards those of us desperately trying to do something to gain some control of the situation, instead of the constant gatekeeping I see on this forum.

He also initially brought it up last night during his live session, which was recorded and will be on the website if not already. Its around 16 minutes into it.

What exactly is the purpose of this statement? The State Dept Guidance docs are out there, the news articles and summaries are out there, why do I need to cite anything? You can explore the transparency of the State Dept on your own. As if the experiences in these forums didn't make that clear enough.
I can't imagine being in the AOS stage of our journey and still jumping on the K1 forums to pick apart initiatives applicants are promoting to get their cases acted upon during a pandemic with an administration that has attacked immigration like none before. There is literally no one who has gone through this process before during these circumstances. I can't imagine offering anything but support to people in this position while being thankful I am actually with my spouse.

Per DS-160, an official government document, it clearly states: Immediate Relatives means fiance/fiancee, spouse (husband/wife), child (son/daughter), or sibling (brother/sister).
This makes K1 visa 'mission critical'.

The difference lies in the consulate conducting other visa business while unreasonably delaying K1 issuance.

Not applicable. The threatened action is about suing the DOS not the USCIS.

If your I-129f petition has been approved but stalled at the NVC or consulate for the past several months, there is a team of prominent lawyers who are interested in hearing from you and potentially filing a suit on our behalf. They are the lawyers behind Aker v. Trump, which is currently challenging the immigrant visa ban in federal Court.
If you are interested in getting more information, please submit the Google form found in Attorney Siskind's tweet:

I hope the mods will allow this as these are truly unprecedented times in immigration and in State Department tomfoolery. The ultimate aim of this suit will be to resume the processing of our K1 cases.
State Department guidance released as part of the discovery in the H1B suits indicate K1s are the LOWEST PRIORITY for State Department and it has directed consulates to process them as such.

Ken & Yana got a reaction from NewYorkLover in FEBRUARY 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to Embassy
Or you can simply acknowledge that pasting that blurb to folks who are rightfully frustrated can be demeaning to the receiver. These are not normal times and the decisions being made by individual consulates are not typical, with no consistency, and seem to make little sense. Telling folks to lower their expectations and to relax is not helpful, especially when you've pasted it multiple times in the same thread. The fact of the matter is that there are things people can do and we do have a right to additional information when inquiring, which your blurb seems to gloss over. If that can't be understood then there's probably not much left to discuss. Thanks for helping us with your breadth of experience, but please remember to be humble.

Thanks. I've seen you paste this a number of times over the past year. I think we all understand these sentiments. Do you ever consider that they might be dismissive of credible concerns? What if I just wanted to share my frustrations and discuss with others who may have additional information?
