  1. I agree on the biometrics, but in reality it can be reused. While having a baby is a good sign I think K1 has nothing to do with the processing time. As for them joining a few minutes ago I have no idea why would someone make these stuff up (I do get people are different tho )
  2. Could be 3 scenarios: The post is not true, either a glitch in USCIS website, user putting their info in VJ or something simillar. USCIS randomly picks cases to process really fast (highly unlikely) They have started the actual "risk based approach" but not with the older cases, it's easier to implement the approach with newer cases then to reintroduce older cases to the system. I have seen a few 2022 people getting approved so I think it may make sense. We just have to wait and see if the trend does continue or not. As a side note obviously having a baby is probably the strongest evidence of a good faith marriage but I don't think it miracalously speeds things up. Any couple with joint financial ties and tax returns also have strong evidence, so we shall wait and see.......
  3. My case was received 11/21 however. I still have not received text notification (11/23).
  4. My hunch is the risk based approach being applied to these cases (maybe there is a software and they just need training?). The whole model should not be complicated really , perhaps just training the officers in the data entry and what not. But I can be wrong
  5. I think this is just the evidence-based approach kicking it. Now for those who have strong cases and were interviewed for their I485 Also (I think the ones who got waived for 485 are more likely to take longer) and are taking long, my hunch is that that they are starting out with an "experimental" batch and expanding the batch as weeks/months go by. I also see EAD's getting approved faster.
  6. I am not too worried about my (our) I751 getting denied. I have seen some very weird cases getting approved and to your point unless there is a VERY clear evidence the whole thing was a sham it's hard to prove otherwise (the I751 Denials due to fraud is very low as you are also well aware and most are due to incorrect info, wrong timing and not providing divorce decree in time, etc) but I also know that there are so many cases (Relatively speaking) whose 751 got approved after a 4-5 year struggle. Now I don't think my spouse will write to USCIS given she is on the hook for 40K of loans and some joint assets (I obviously can't hold back her portion but things will go UGLY for both parties) but I do have a professional career and the last thing I want is for this thing to drag longer than it has to. We did enter the marriage in good faith and our IO was very very cool during the interview and kept saying sweet stuff about us, there is nothing weird about our case and we dated for two years prior, I am trying to make this case as straighforward as possible. As for the marriage itself it has led into a weird toxic / codependent state that sadly is also the very biproduct of a "normal bonafide marriage" or else there would be no negative emotions floating around while being emotionally attached. Sorry for the long rant.
  7. Bank Statements and Joint Investments all point to the same address. The tickets were in response to show coliving and cotravelling
  8. I was in status. Our backgrounds do not raise a huge red flag (I changed it here for anonymity). My spouse did not sponsor anyone, but she was married before. The apartment issue is understandable, but we have plenty of travel history, and ID'd are pointing to the same address. I don't think that is a big issue, given that are main address is the same and we do have tons of bus tickets/amtrak/ plane that shows travelling together back and forth.
  9. I appreciate your help. We are living jointly although I have to travel for work and we have a second apt (cheaper than a hotel) to which her name is also on the lease. I have already made copies not because of the Threats but because of being sloppy so I do have a back up. Given we are no where near even filing for divorce and we are living jointly I will have to file jointly but may have to get divorced along the line. I have contacted an attorney and plan to file with an attorney given that things are not exactly straight forward
  10. My relationship with my S.O is slowly detoroating to a state that seems hard to rescue. We are arguing on a weekly basis and seem to have different opinions regarding most things. It is my understanding that if we were to separate she and her family would not be very helpful with regards to my immigration status. I will be eligble to file in late novermber but honestly don't know if we can survive another year (minimum time for 751 these days). As for evidence we have plenty Joint tax returns, joint bank accounts, joint investment accounts 3 big trips together multiple small trips (Amtrack, bus tickets) She cosigning my student loans Joint lease Joint insurance and dental having each other as beneficiary on 401k accounts So many pictures together Being invited to weddings as a couple Being from the same country The thing is I think we will file jointly but I am not sure if our marriage will survive the duration of how things are moving forward. I know that I can file joint and change it later but will that hurt my ROC chances? Honestly I am kinda lost in what to do with regards to my marriage and this ROC thing. I don't want to drag the marriage when we are so different but I don't know what are my options if my 751 gets dragged for 3 years with a waiver just like many divorce cases here.
  11. This kind of denial makes me think the REAL denials (Where uscis thinks there are frauds involved) are actually not that high. People seem to get denied more for errors on their form, failing to produce a divorce decree all the time. The total denials are around 5 percent and frauds would be a smaller subset of that. If this is the case I wonder why I751 takes soooooo long.
  12. The "faster" processing times are already catching up to N400 cases. I feel within 4 months or so the I751 is going to pick up the pace.
  13. I actually had that hypothesis a while ago. It is easier from an operational perspective to start the new process on new cases that come in rather than go in and dig into 2019/2020/2021 cases. This is assuming USCIS is actually going to start to improve its processing times.
  14. Keep in mind that those who don't get approved fast are probably more likely to post more than those who get approved fast. If I get approved in 6-8 months I would just move on with life instead of posting comments in an immigration forum.
  15. Hello All, My company requires us to live in GA while my and wife lives in VA. We ended up leasing an apartment in GA (her name is also on the lease of both places) but our principal place of "residence" is still VA. Besides the tax returns and joint finances displaying our main address being in VA we also have both our ID's belonging to VA on top of mails being delivered to our VA house. Is this enough to show coliving? (If this is not enough I do have a ton of tickets showing we traveled jointly to and from VA-GA) I also understand that we need more evidence (Photos, Joint assets,401K beneficiaries, trips together, tax returns, and such). Still, I was more concerned about the coliving as we have plenty of photos, trip tickets, joint loans, finances, and joint tax returns.
  16. It's pretty simple the Dems want less strict immigration policies and the conservatives want the opposite. Part of it is border control, Daca, and things relevant to that, the other part is the number of Visas being issued and less strict immigration policies in general. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH INFLATION. IT IS PART OF THEIR AGENDA. Now whether the current issues regarding the economy, guns, or abortion will make an immigrant vote for republicans is an entirely different matter. I just laid some of my thoughts as to why the processing times may improve and people are expecting to either see immediate results (I clearly stated that we may start to see the effects by the next 6 months) or somehow relate this to the economy or the price of gas.
  17. Ok, say what you want but I personally think with the new processing time interface USCIS is actually implementing some strategies to address the backlog. There would be no need for more transparency if all they wanted was more complaints. I personally think processing times will slowly improve within the next 6 months or so.
  18. What do you think would be the impact of the risk-based approach on I751 processing times? I personally think the implication can be huge and would shave so much time off as the officers would spend less time on each "average" case and the due diligence for each case would be much simpler assuming they are straightforward (let's face it most cases are given most people have been interviewed for their I485 even with complications such as a divorce as long as there is good evidence). I also have the theory that with the coming elections the Democrats want faster processing times as it would be likely most immigrants would favor them so I do think the processing times are gonna speed up. Last but not least covid is also over so things are kinda back to normal. What do you think?
  19. So my GC expires in Feb 23, but already I am thinking of gathering evidence to send for my ROC. Here is what I am planning to include, please let me know if you think it is enough: Joint Lease on two apartments (for work I have to commute to Georgia and sometimes stay there for 10-15 days it was cheaper to rent an apartment) but we have our names on both leases. Joint Bank accounts (checking, saving in 2 different accounts) with more than 40K for a two year-ish period. Joint investment account (around 30k) Joint credit cards Her name on my 401k and vice versa joint insurance and dental plans 20 or so tickets to Georgia and back together 3 vacations together (plane tickets, hotels) Tons of photos (more than 100) with family members and friends or on vacations together Joint tax returns Photos of our parents meeting each other in the home country. Affidavits from at least two friends. Chat logs and emails Picture of me at her bedside when she was ill in hospital Is there anything else I could work on in the meanwhile?
