I had what was supposed to be my combo interview last Tuesday. Brought my wife along with me because I assumed she would be required to come in too. When my name was called to go in for the interview, the agent told me that it wouldn’t be necessary for my wife to come in too. She briefly went over my I-751 application for a couple of minutes and that was it. At the end she thanked me for bringing my wife with me just in case anything did come up when going through the I-751 though.

@Fariya Both the applicant and the spouse will be interviewed for i-751. Applicant should not go without their spouse.
I had a combo interview last Thursday, they called my spouse inside first for interview and then called me (the applicant) for an interview.. Also it is stated on the i-751 interview notice to bring your spouse with you.
If you can't attend the interview then I recommend rescheduling the interview appointment. There is also rescheduling appointment info on the interview notice you received in the mail.

It's a joint I-751. I was required for our I-751 combo interview.  Yes, I was asked questions, too. 

You can call USCIS or send them a message through your USCIS online account.

Hi, my spouse's interview is in December and today he received notice that it will be a combo interview of N-400 and I-751. The notice says I must accompany him but do they actually call the spouse inside during interview for I-751? I will be out of country at that time so was wondering what we should do. Any help/suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you. 

Hi everyone - my visa got approved at Dhaka embassy today after 16 months of visa process! @Fariya thank you for helping me and directing me to the main group as well, it was very helpful to hear of other people's progress and know something was happening at least. You're welcome. Yes you open an account, choose the reschedule option and then follow the steps. I did it but with my husband's email. I don't think it matters who does it. And the number should be in your ds260 confirmation page which you got after completing the form.

My husband's coming here in sha Allah on November 20th. In Bangladesh the embassy sends one email with a link where we have to open an account in ustraveldocs and submit a request for interview. Then once they have available slots they approve it and send another email saying to choose a date from few options which can be seen in the account.

okay thanku so much for this information  I  sent req 21oct2020 got review email 29oct and then approved  email 6nov now waiting for other update.... hope for the best .. to know about your dates I'm little bit relaxed .

Thanks! 😊 we’re just actually got an email that our case is with Embassy in London! 🥳 and the CEAC says it’s In London.  so now we’re waiting for instruction. 

you're welcome. I can be wrong but I saw in this forum that few earlier cases in UK were able to schedule their own interview once the case was received and showing "ready" status. Maybe give them a call once the status becomes ready? 
And I did not receive any email also about interview cancellation. Almost all of the people I know who expedited got that automated email and it scared the hell out of me when I didn't. But thank god it doesn't matter you get it or not as long as your case status changes.

For my case which was expedited, it showed 'at nvc' first and on August 26 changed to 'in transit' when they sent it. It then changed to 'ready' when my case was received by embassy on August 30. And I think the interview depends on the specific embassy. Don't worry you're almost there 😊

Hey, thank you. My case was received by embassy in August 30 and I emailed them the next day to request for interview date. They told me to wait as they'll let us know once they have slots open. The embassy in Bangladesh has been doing the process differently and won't let any expedited cases schedule their own interview unless they approve it. Ours got approved yesterday and we chose the earliest date available which was November 2nd. I'll pray that you'll hear something soon from your embassy 😊

Thanks for the info. I sent the embassy an email too and they sent me what seemed like a generic response that routine visa services were suspended. Hopefully I'll hear from them soon. All the best in your interview 🙂

Congrats!!! I saw on your timeline that your case was expedited. How long did it take for the embassy to contact you after CEAC showed Ready? Or did you go ahead and schedule the interview without an interview letter? I'm still waiting to hear from the embassy so I would to know what to expect. TIA
