Well, I just got back from work and checking the mail I got a letter from USCIS stating that They are going to reuse my biometrics from 2017, when I applied for GC conditions removal. I filled  on may 28th and the case is being processed in Kansas. It looks like things are moving ! 🙂

Filed on May 31 in NJ and just received biometrics appointment!

- Got a biometrics reuse notice letter uploaded to website, still waiting for hard copy in snail mail. 
- Status changed to interview is scheduled.  
- Estimated time for completion moved up to September.  It was originally September, then delayed to January 2021, but now it is back to September (1 month). 
 
I better go study my flash cards again!

Great news! Biometrics appointment is scheduled! Cleveland Ohio office and applied online.
 
Today I received an email “We have taken action on your case and it needs your attention”.  Letter takes a few days to come available and mailed so I don’t know what date is scheduled for yet.

Look, considering the actual context we are living in, maybe if you move out, and the same day you move you change your address on the page online, maybe the case is going to be delayed a couple of months but you are going to save money. I think cases are gonna get delayed for a few months no matter what happens. But you never know, what if you move next week and they issue the biometric appointment to your old address. Nobody knows what's going on on the USCIS offices unless you work there

It seems to be up and running again - now including an additional sentence for IOE filers:
"It is being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location." 

Oh man. It seems USCIS will probably cut down 70% of a its man power.
 
I can't imagine the delay it might add.

The biometrics offices aren't even open yet, and haven't been since March. So nobody who filed in March until now has had their biometrics.

Hello All - fellow May filer here ... I mentioned this on the main threads - made a call this past Monday to USCIS and the agent mentioned that the ASCs are likely to re-open on Monday, June 22nd for biometric applicants. He also said that fingerprints are not hindering the processing of the applications as it still happens in the back-end.
