  1. He couldn't get a medical appt until after his exam - so that was one reason.. He got that and we sent it via courier along with his passport.. They also wanted us to provide the info on Jamaica laws in regards to what he was arrested for.. (The statutes) which I thought was strange since it was never requested and one would think they'd have this info or at least access to in at the embassy via their law dept. But fortunately his sisters friend is a lawyer in Jamaica and sent copy of it that- I emailed it as well as sending it in with his medical and passport via courier service. So now we just wait.. it's be almost 4 weeks.. But its almost 4 years since we first started all this .. Covid made things difficult not to mention just the absurd and dysfunctional system to begin with and as you know nothing easy in Jamaica either.. lol Good luck
  2. No- but since he did have a prior arrest 12 years previous , we were advised from a few lawyers it would be helpful to also have that court record, and it was. but we still needed to supply some more info that we did and our currently still waiting in Administration processing.. Your husband should remember what courthouse he was involved with - he needs to go there and explain the situation and hopefully they can find the info.. If not get something in writing form them showing you went there and what the outcome was. The more info you have the better- even if just to show you've attempted to get the info-have something in writing from the officials and not just your word.
  3. Had interview on Nov. 20- still needed his medical which he couldn't get until after interview- and they requested some more documents which I emailed back that day after interview (in a followup they sent to me) as well as sending the info in with his passport to courier service after Medical exam. Sent Passport via Courier on Nov. 12th.. Any idea how long it may take ? I've written a few emails to the embassy asking and of course never get a reply of any kind back.. Appreciate if any insight or info.. Thank you
  4. Go to the courthouse where he had his case.. Go and get his 'Court records". It's different than the police certificate.. My husband did that..
  5. Do you think it is ? You’re such a wealth of knowledge on this site . Worse comes to worse we’ll be told we have to produce it . More time 😞
  6. Thank you for that link .I've seen that when doing research.. The police cetificate we had to produce for our DS260 states on it the type of crime , date, and the outcome (he had to pay a fine) I was hoping that would be enough .It's such a huge hassle to try procur any type of govt. paperwork in that country.
  7. My husband has his police certificate which lists an arrest 12 years ago with the outcome ( paying a fine ) does he also need to bring the court record in regards to this? I was told it may be helpful , it is it mandatory ? Our interview is coming up real soon and we may not have rind to get a copy of his court record. I’ve never seen anything specifically list a certificate and court record . appreciate any input
  8. After almost 4 years my we finally got our interview date for Nov 20th - we immediately called to make the medical exam ( only one place in Jamaica ) the soonest we could get it was Dec 8th - they are very backed up . Anyone know what we should do it expect ? We do not want to reschedule are interview date . Thank you
  9. Just checking who out there might be able give insight. Got DQ'd in Feb and wondering how long to we may get an interview for CR1 visa for this embassy .
  10. Congrats! we finally got Dq'd in Feb -hoping it doesnt take so long to get an interview ...Im very happy for you both!
  11. Thanks everyone helped with my compressed files issue...Figured it out... Downloaded the file and then when I hit submit nothing happens ? I refreshed my browser and did again few times... How do I know for sure it went through?
  12. NVC says i need info compresed info ..but on their site says not send zipped files.. not sure how else to send compreesed files ... i have Mac.. can someone help me. Thank you
  13. What is the timeframes you have experienced from Documents accepted in your CEAC account to getting you DQ letter?
  14. Sept 21st we re-submitted.. all docs and eveything show accepted.. No movement -no new emails since sept. 21st..
  15. Anyone else been waiting way past the timeline period to get docs qualified? I've sent several public inquiries -come wback with generic meassage saying their reviewing them. We resubmitted Docs on Sep 21... all docs say accepted on our account.. No other movement or emails.. Had to contact my senator -whos office helps with immigration issue..
  16. Dealing with exact same issues Gordansand. hen i send NVC a public inquirt regarding this i get either the same message re; documents needed or their reviwing,.. Resubmitted doc on Sept 21 and 22nd. so frustrating..
  17. Dealing with the same thing.. Resubmitted Documents on Sept 21st.. Nov 7th got email to check CEAC,. No new messages all documents accepted. Nov 17th another email from NVC to review file, Again nothing has changed. No new meassages -all documents accepted.. When I make public inquiry it states to review my CEAC file that they requested resubmit AOS documents... That was back in Sept 20- I followed thorugh Sept 21s.. Nothing new has happened.- no new meassages and all documents acccepted... Keep waiting to get a DQ letter.. -very frustrating.
  18. That's not right at all... Im going keep asking on their public inquiry form about this every week.. Since we cant talk to an actual person on the form.. Such an inefficient system.. Let me know if you get any feedback or movement..Best of luck.
  19. I'm having a similar issue.. Via public inquiry they say open messages, etc .There is nothing new to open (messages) all documents say acccepted.. There is nothign for me to correct .. Waiting since Sep 22 (when I resubmitted corrected documents) notice on Nov 7 and 17 to from nvc to review CEAC file.. When I do nothing has changed.. No new messages and again everything says accepted.
  20. Received recent NVC email finally (after re-submitting twice ) that all documents have been accepted. Everything else is good too. When will I receive our DQ letter ?
  21. I wish.. Kingston not such a hotspot like other embassies on here...
  22. Is there anway to find out current wait times are for interviews for resident immigration visas? On the govt websites it just lists non-immgrant visa interview waitimes , Maybe I'm missing something... ( ps interest is Kington embassy) Thank you
  23. I know now.. Maybe others will learn... I wish they had said to submit all 10 pages... but its been done yesterday... so my ignorance cost me.. I just dont see the pint of having people go back to the end of the line.. It is what it is..
  24. Actually the first time was my fault- I did not hand sign the support affadavit... So I hand signed it and sent it back...Then yesterday was told that I need to send all the 10 pages of affadavit -which I already did once...Had they told me the first time to send hand signed page 8 and re-submit all the other 9 pages I would have done that..But they didnt't -just asked for page 8 hand signed and dated.. So here I am back of the line again for another 65 days unless I get lucky and they check the documents sooner..
