Ronnie12345 got a reaction from Thrillhouse in I-751 December 2022 Filers
Received the 48 month green card extension today.

I filed with a divorce waiver after the completion of the divorce. Anyone else traveled/plan to travel with the extension letter and this waiver? I'm nervous about traveling outside of the US with this...

Good morning , I’ve been checking this community of immigration since I started my process from adjusting All the way through removing condition  I-751 , I just created this account to give hope to people that are still waiting and for you my brother ..

    * I was approved on Monday 12/19/2022

    * i filled and send my initial package on September 20 of 2020 , it took me 2yrs and almost 2 months, …

*Documents I send initially , title from both car , insurance both of our names , bills, a condominium we were in the process of buying also a house and taxes  and more basics documents .. I never send them pictures  but is a plus …

    * when i first adjusted my status I had an interview and that was the only time I had an interview with them ..

    * I request an appointment to get the stamp on my passport 1week before i got approved and after I received my stamp 1weeks later got approved , the uscis website updated my case that I have been approved and new card is being producing …..

They did not asked me for initial evidence , I was waiting and ready for an interview and had a bunch of evidence I was ready, I did not stop living at first was stress but then I stop worrying because I know my marriage was legit and Remember  before someone send them anything   to them they already know , they just are trying to confirm what they know ….

I initially filled jointly but things did not get well and my now  ex ,she decided to left me and did not care anything even though I had 95% of bills , once she left she was as still using my debit card  that’s when I realize she was taking advantage from me , and had somebody else behind my back and  I was strong and was working super hard to keep going and after that happen I level up twice …and I told my self I’m  going to get through this and I just need to remind positive and keep living  , I did not hired any lawyer because I believed in that my case was solid I was ready to go for an interview or sent a ton of evidence but they never ask me for evidence, she has had taken the decision to divorce me even though I did everything to support her ,but at the end of the day I let her go, physiologically she was affecting my mind and at the end, I told her do what you need to do and I know my right and stop trying to intimidate me , and once the divorce was finalized , within two months I send it right away to uscis..

my case was at POTOMAC YSC AND THEY NEVER TRANSFERRED MY PACKAGE, the whole time was there …

this is hope for all of the people that have been waiting …

    thanks…

I did. I hired an attorney, had the divorce decree and filed in July of 2020. Took a total of 28 months and got approved without an interview.

From what I understand interviews are more likely with waivers but I have also seen plenty of people here get approved without.

Good luck and sit tight. It is gonna take a minute.

Thank you so much for all the details.

My ex was a pastor and I'm a teacher. With the teachers salary, I didn't hire an attorney either. The divorce was expensive enough.
As evidence, I sent in the following in Chronological order:
    1. A personal statement and declaration explaining why we divorced.
    2. Photos of visits and family gatherings prior to engagement
    3. Deed for the old house with ex.
    4. Engagement photos
    5. Wedding photos
    6. Marriage Certificate
    7. Joint health insurance prior to getting my own through employment.
    8. Photos of our trip to South Dakota,  MN North Shore to celebrate my birthday, Mexico
    9. Joint Income Tax Return for 2020
    10. Property Tax Statement for 2020 for both of us.
    11. Deed for new house with ex.
    12. Home and Boat insurance with ex.
    13. Tour reservation of our trip to Iceland.
    14. Photos of our trip to the UK and Iceland
    15. Christmas photos and some other photos of our time together with friends and family.
    16. Bills from going to couples counselling
    17. Married, Filing Separately, Income Tax Return for 2021 showing that I pay taxes from my job as a teacher and from my rental property in the UK.
    18. Final utility bill for ex showing residence until he moved out.
    19. Dissolution of marriage certificate and other divorce documents
    20. Four letters by U.S. friends and pastors attesting to our relationship, pre-martial counseling, marriage and confirming that they have met our families.

I feel that I have covered all the bases. The only thing we didn't have is joint bank accounts and we don't have kids together either (and thank god for both of that!)

Yes, I made sure to wait until the divorce was done and sent it all in one go. My 2 year GC expires in Feb so I had time.
