I'm so happy to be adding to the good news pile! This morning my status for I-485 changed to "new card is being produced"!  Interview was waived, I guess, and I no longer have to worry about losing my job

We received his Green Card in the mail yesterday! YAY! We can relax for almost 2 years 😅🤣💜💜. I'm so grateful to this community, without it I don't think we would have been able to do it by ourselves. *so happy*

Update: my card is now being produced. I actually faxed them again yesterday with more evidence. I told them my rent is due and I have no means to pay anyone back if I borrow money to tide me over. This morning, the card is being produced.

My covid related reason was a final stage interview with the largest supplier of covid tests in the world. Once I get the job offer I will submit this to them if my card hasn’t already been produced to hopefully speed it along.
In addition I used financial loss as my second reason to request the expedite. 

I requested an expedite of my EAD on 2/8/21 and it just got approved 🙏 I am so happy I could run around my complex shouting. 
We did not have a job offer but used the following reasons:
1- final stage interview at a biotech company that is the biggest supplier of covid tests in the world 
2- financial loss, explaining that we had saved to cover 4 months of expenditure per the processing times upon our arrival but since we got here the processing times have significantly increased and we are now down to zero in terms of savings for basic living costs

I hope you hear soon. Just from seeing other people’s expedite experiences it seems that within the expedite requests there’s another layer and those within the medial field are number 1 priority, others with a COVID related reason are next and everything else seems to fall below that.

His I-485 interview notice came in the mail today (informed digest said it was coming yesterday but apparently it came today instead)!!!
Our appointment is March 2, 2021!  

We still don't have his Social Security card but hopefully it will come next week.
 
But YAY! Hopefully everything goes well and he gets his Green card! We are so nervous but excited!

Thats unfortunate  at least it was only a week of time. Hopefully your congressman comes through and he receives his EAD soon with no more set backs. I wish you guys luck!

Had my biometrics done for EAD on 01/07/2021, but there was no update on the case after the appointment was done (no "Fingerprints taken" message). After about a week, I started going through Emma trying to reach an agent to figure out what was the holdup. On 01/18 I managed to get a hold of an officer and she submitted my request to expedite based on financial loss (pending job offer). USCIS emailed me another four days later asking for evidence for financial loss and I faxed them 22 pages of proof including job offer, child support and medical coverage being delayed. Today I got the update that the new card is being produced.

We called the Social Security Administration this morning and they said that he has to have the EAD in hand and they will "assess if he's eligible." So lets hope that they just do it automatically because dealing with our local office is a bit of a headache lol. 
 
 
 
SOOO also I checked his status' this morning and apparently they scheduled the Interview for his I-485!  😯  That's crazy, we weren't expecting that! 
We don't know the date yet but as soon as we know we will let you guys know.

It's so crazy because they never asked for any evidence for the EAD expedite. The AP is still showing as expedite received but I'm slightly hopeful that they just went ahead and approved both because he was so close to approval date anyway. I guess we will find out once it gets mailed to us.

I want to cry! I checked all six of my applications. AOS, EAD and AP for K1 and K2. All the same but I checked my EAD last and the status changed to new card is being produced. I want to cry. I am so happy! I can have a life now!

Congrats! I always like to see fellow Brits cases moving forward, it gives me hope that maybe mine will follow suit! 😆
