How do you file the mandamus? I think I should do that my VAWA was approved since sept 2019,had interview March 2022,they re-opened my case and nothing,they say they are doing background checks but they did not order for fingerprints. It’s so overwhelming for me.. tried congress man and all that but still nothing happening.

Now no response they say background check as explained above.

The response was they are still doing background checks🥲🥲 When they called me for an interview in March they did not request for fingerprints only Medicaid so am wondering how this background check is being done because the only fingerprints ai did was in 2016. Just go to their website and fill out the form then they will contact you.

For some reason my lawyer always wanted to inquire and when I asked about going through congress she said wait to do that.

TIME LINES!

Feb 2015 filed 485

Feb 2017 interview 485(put on pending because I filed VAWA)

Feb 2017 VAWA filed (360)

Sept 2019 360 Approved 

Sept 2019 receipt for approval sent to usci office since have pending 485.

In between issue EADs no interview no update.

2021 follow up no updates.

Feb 2022 letter to supervisor.

March 30 2022  interview 

March 31 2022 update case reopened

Until today nothing is going on..on the interview the officer told us they have reopened the case and since it has been there for so long the have to look into it.

it’s over 120days and it’s still case re-opened!

My lawyer inquired twice online and they send that general message that decision hasn’t been made.

Is this normal?,Should I consult my representative..

I feel this process has taken forever.

Any advice /input will be truly appreciated.

Sure folks travel every now and then and get back in without incident! Your lawyer knows what to do! Everyone has different timeline...if it's important to you..then apply asap...probably anywhere from 3months and over...whenever you get it is how long it takes!😁 you should google the information!

I hope the I485 won’t take long c my pending case on hold was filed in 2015 if they are to work on that time line.Otherwise keep in touch this is also a step.

Filled in February 2017 and approved  July 2019,have just seen it now.

i hope the adjustment wont take forever again cz my case on hold has been there since 2015. And i had filled for greencard too.

Thanx dear,No i dont live with him and i did not go with him for the Interview,it was my attorney and I and the held the case so today this forum has opened my eyes and from here i checked my case status and i  just see my New card was sent this july for 1-360 which is the approval ryt. Was tired of checking  cz it had been forever and i just closed my eyes ,prayed n worked.

This is what i find when i go check my status right now.

It reads On July,25th ,2019,we mailed your new card for your Form I-360..... to the address you gave us, if not received byAugust 9,2019....

Could this be the approval...oooh God

ooh I hope so,she told me EAD then i said which one coz i have one already then she said work permit,am not sure if she checked everything but i wonder how they could send me two work authorizations  in months n withought applying.
