My F got his noa2 oct 3. We do have a case # already but status is still "at nvc". Is it really taking this long? Can I do ds-160 while waiting for it to be case ready? Does it have expiration if we do it now? Thanks.

I don't say what you intend to do to correct this so I'm going take a stab at this from my perspective. Yes, this very well will be a problem. My suggestion is to get intouch with the bank, determine what it is that you can work out with them and then get it in writing and possibly try and get the case against you dropped. Any and all paperwork you receive can help show that you are working with the bank and courts to rectify the situation.
I just called the bank's atty. I have a payment agreement with them. They'll mail me a copy. Would that be enough? I'll go to court too. When i got my agreement copy. Really stressful 😔

I have a qauestion. Hopefully someone can answer 😔 So I just received a letter from court saying one particular credit card bank is suing me for impending balance. (Apparently my x husband loan he just used my acct🙄). So my question is, will it affect my pending petition for my fiance? I am the usc petitioner. Im currently waiting for my noa 2. And in anxious cause im scared it my affect my pending petition to him, 😔 thanks for those who will help

I don't think they outright offer, but if one is needed they try to accommodate the request. It goes a long way if the interviewee tries to participate in English so keep that in mind.
Thank youuu

Thank you

Question. Do all immigration officers offers an interpreter before starting the interview? My fiance is not so fluent in english and having a hard time understanding american accent. He is practicing his english, but im afraid language barrier can cause problems. 😔 We communicate through our own native language because i was born there in his country, and im a naturalized citizen here in usa. Thanks for those who'll help ☺

FYI = K-2 Follow to join must be completed within a year of your visa being issued. If you don't get the K-2 visa ISSUED within that time frame means filing a separate I-130 petition (taking roughly 9 - 12 months)
It would have been easier to do it now whereas the K2 would be approved and could follow within a year of mom's visa.
Even if we want it now, his daughter's mom wont let her go with us. So we can still petition his daughter as i130 in the future right?
-
Abother question 😁 My fiance has a daughter. I know i can petition her as k2 also, but he is not with his daughter because he is not in good terms with his daughter's mom. So we chose not to petition his daughter as k2 for now, because we knew that the mom wont let him. Is that ok?

It maybe asked but shouldn't be a concern for the interview. Many have gone before you with similar issues and were granted a visa. Be prepared to talk about with the CO. Don't you bring it up at the interview but let the CO ask about it.
Relieved. Thank you!

Question. I already filed my k1 petition to my fiancee. I alrdy rcvd noa1 too. I had an arrest before due to verbal arguement of me and mt ex spouse. It happened on my apt. And when i asked him to go out of my house, he resisted with his body causing him redness and bruising? Well thats what he told cops that why i got arrested. Long story short, on final hearing day my ex spouse talked to prescutor to drop the case and the judge granted it so it was dismissed. I sent a copy of the summons/complain and expungement of records saying case was dismissed with my i129f form before. Would it cause a problem on my petition process? Thanks

You could own baren land, pitch a tent and hang a mailbox outside and you wouldn't have a problem.
Renting a room & not an apt/house is never an issue.
Relieved. Thank you. Also, would it cause delay in the process of approval (noa2)? As ill change my address or it really doesnt matter?

Question. Im currenty renting a room now for myself, planning to move on a cheaper room for rent for now. As i wanted to save money before my fiance comes here. Would there be a problem with that? I know i need to report change of address. But is renting a room & not an apt/house an issue?
