    Hi All,

Does anyone know how often NVC schedules Interviews with Consulates - is there a pattern someone can suggest. My spouse and her kids Consulate is in Mumbai, India.

    Thank you,

    SSNK

They schedule twice a month in bulk for Mumbai. Some receive randomly within those bulk ILs. It can be 3-4 months from DQ to receive IL

    Friends,

I was hoping someone can help me with me with these questions:

    - How do you know or find out when your case/s are transferred to Consulate overseas from NVC. My wife's consulate is Mumbai.

    - Does NVC send the interview letter/s or does the Consulate after they receive the files?

    - I have 3 Immediate Relative Petitions with NVC, all approved. The first one was accepted on Oct 4, 2019, the 2nd one on Nov 15th, 2019 and 3rd was accepted on Nov 19th, 2019.

    - I have been alone for 3 years and now it is really pinching me. I am not sure when we will receive the interview in Mumbai.

    Thank you,

    Sanjay

NVC send you an email with interview letter. Current average time to receive this letter is 3-4 months from DQ date.

    Hi everyone,
My wife (US Born Citizen) applied for my IR1/CR1 visa. Our current stage is, NVC cleared all the documents on OCT-25-2019, and said they are working with US Embassy MUMBAI (INDIA) to schedule my visa interview.
Its been 50 days now, but still I have not received any interview date from NVC/US Embassy MUMBAI INDIA.
I am under immediate relative visa category.

Can you all please share your recent experience, what is the current interview wait times US Embassy MUMBAI (INDIA).?

Current wait time is average of 3-4 months. They’re currently working on September DQ dates. We have a Telegram group (currently ~150 members) waiting and a timeline specific to Mumbai. If you’d like to follow with us, PM me for the link.

Has anyone from Mumbai embassy tried to check their CEAC status  to see if their case is ready to be scheduled for an interview or still at NVC especially the people with July and August CC?

Someone (IR1) received IL yesterday with 8/28 CC (interview is on 12/16). We should see more starting early next week!

Should I upload it now on Ceac? Or before the interview...

    From travel.state.gov:

After NVC accepts your documents – which means you are in line for a visa interview – you may not delete anything that you submitted. If at that time you want to submit a new, replacement, or additional document, simply bring it to your visa interview for the consular officer to review.

The joint sponsor how should I get that ready for the interview?

I have to keep it with me in paper form?

Or upload it.. even though I got DQ?

They won't accept at the interview. You may receive 221g and be asked to upload the docs to NVC after interview and drop off the requested documents to a location specified on the letter. Financial 221g take about 1-2 weeks for resolution (in Mumbai).

Our CR1 interview is coming up on Nov 5 in Dublin.  I've booked flights for my wife and I to the US on Nov 21 assuming all goes well.  Was that a bad idea?  I am not worried about being denied, and the price of the flight was too good to pass up, but I am slightly concerned the paperwork won't be returned in time.  Surely 16 days is enough time?

For Mumbai, we were approved and received passport to our home in Delhi 3 days later. I’m not sure how Dublin will work, it seems like it would be enough time.

Hey Rupi.. recently received my IL for NOv 1st.. my passport expires in May 2020... on usa travel docs it says passport should valid for at least 6months whereas pre interview checklist for Bombay says should be for at least 8 months.. which one should be consider?

You need 6 months validity by the time you reach the US port of entry.

We got ours! CR1 5/16 case complete for Mumbai. November 1 interview.

Just put in an appointment for the Hyderabad CMM for medical and awaiting a date. The biometrics part is a bit confusing. Did you all schedule that through UStraveldocs/CGIFederal? The "OFC" appointment also looks like you can book in multiple locations including Hyderabad. For CR1 can we book in any location including Hyderabad or does it have to be in Mumbai?

Heck yeah!! You book an appointment they Ustraveldocs/CGIFederal for biometric and select one of the VAC locations available. Hyderabad is good. Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, etc
