Well, that's me approved folks. I'm now a US Citizen.
 
I've been coming to this website for 15 years now for help and advice and I've got to say it has been an invaluable source for me ... and countless others no doubt.
 
The interview was easy, 5 or 6 questions on history/politics, a few questions on my past (ever been a terrorist etc) and then I was given a same day oath ceremony. 10 mins after the oath, I registered to vote and got an appointment for my passport.

I went into my USCIS account just now and my case completion estimate has gone from 7 months to 12.
 
Needless to say, I was a little miffed. 
 
Then I scrolled down the page and it said Interview Scheduled. So, April 19th in Portland it is.

They have loads of interview lots open in Belfast and they'll have your passport to you in a week. This is really doable. Thanks.

There are some one day passport service places in the UK. You would have to make an appointment in advance at a city that would be easiest for you to coordinate. I read a thread from a bloke who did that. His appointment was in the morning. Then he had to knock around the town and go back for the passport in the afternoon.

I applied December 1st, 2020, down in Portland. They told me they were going to reuse my biometrics a couple of months later and since then, nothing.
 
Well, nothing apart from extending my time to completion out and out and out and out and just a couple of weeks ago it went out to October 2022.
 
Now I'm just looking for people in the same boat as me so I can moan 🙂.

That's a harsh update, 28 days to 6 months.  At 28 days, I bet you could taste the anticipation.
 
After being here for >12 years on a GC, you'd think I'd be a bit more "meh" about it.

Not even close: my estimate is that I’ll be a citizen just in time to vote for K Harris’s second term.

I filed Dec 2020 and I became a USC on Monday. It was a great feeling. For anyone still waiting, hang tight, and I wish you all the best.!
 

Yeah, Portland is pretty slow.
 
I had to go get my greencard extended and I was one of those folks queuing up.
 
It's a bit depressing to hear that other who came so long after us are ahead of us in the system.

Finally, my ceremony is scheduled for june 15 🎉

Mine went from expected completion in June 2021 to Estimated time* until case decision:  approx. 10 months ... not sure if that means October 2021 or 10 months from now.
 
I have tickets booked to Europe to see my family in September for the first time post-Covid, and my green card expires in June. Looks like I can kiss that flight goodbye.
 
Beyond pissed. 

I had a interview today. I passed and same day ceremony. Long journey come to end with being citizen finally.
