Yes, people receive those from time to time as well as "ghost" updates. Sometimes it is followed by another change to case status, other times nothing happens.
ahh I see. Thank you for the clarification!

I had filed my I-751 on 17th of July 2023. Then I got a notification saying that my case was being actively reviewed, and a IOE* case number on July 23rd 2023. This morning, I received another notification, again, saying that my case was being actively reviewed. I'm curious if this happened to anyone else, and whether it means something or it's just a bug in the notification system?

You should have 48 months extension based on expiry or your GC.
E.g. if your GC expired in 2023, your extension letters should be extending card up to 2027.
Do you now have 48 month extension letter? Or do you have it but filed I-751 few years late?
Omg my brain was not working - yes, it will not expire until 2027. Thank you so much!!!

Hello,
My I-551 extension will expire in July. There is no guarantee when I'll get an interview date for I-751. I want to learn what I need to do to continue work and travel while my I-751 is pending. Can I get another I-551 extension?
I-751 Application: 07/2023
I-551 Extension expiration 07/28/2025
Thank you very much!

I'm really confused about when I'll be eligible for naturalization. I'm not sure if I need to wait for 5 years or if I'm good to go soon. Here is my timeline:
January 2019
- K1 application
September 2019
- K1 approved
November 2019
- US entry & marriage
January 2020
- AOS application
July 2021
- Conditional greencard
March 2023
- Divorce application
July 2023
- Permanent greencard application - applied with a waiver even though divorce was ongoing, shared divorce application documents
September 2023 -
- Divorce finalized, sent a copy of my divorce decree
In this case, will I be eligible in July 2024 or July 2026?
Thank you for your responses!

I'm in the same situation. My divorce started in March 2023, and it will DEFINITELY end in September. I filed with a waiver, as if my divorce was completed with an assumed date. I also wrote a personal statement about how my marriage ended. I shared a slip from the family court proving when I filed for divorce. In my personal statement and in my cover letter, explained that in CA summary dissolution takes exactly six months, and that I was going to share the final decree as soon as I get it. I filed in July 2023, my case is actively being reviewed for over a week now.

So the partner you were referring to is not your USC petitioner, right? Because they wouldn't need a visa either.
Anyway, it is not necessarily a bug for the employment section to be skipped. The DS-160 sections differ for every applicant depending on answers entered in previous sections. As far as I know, there's no workaround to force the form to display a section that is not applicable or not relevant based on the applicant's known information. If you do find a loophole that actually works, do let us know here.
Yeah, what I mean is two people filled the same form at the same time. I don't think it is because the answers are different, the other form was filled with almost the same information. The same thing happened to me in 2019 when I was filling DS-260 form, it was again the prev experience. I had to fill the form multiple times until I found the solution, but it worked at the end. I don't want to risk the visa appointment because of a bug in the system.
I'm interested in who had the same experience with the form before, whether they found a solution, and if not what happened at the visa appointment. I don't think it's important who is filling the form or why.

Filling the forms for my family to visit me

I'm applying for a tourist visa, and for some reason it is not asking me the previous employment/education/training. We just filled the form for my partner, and he was asked to fill that part. I know this is a bug, and there is a work around to make it visible and actually fill it online. Does anyone know/remember what to do?

I recently renewed my EAD. Before my application in this forum I read that AP was going to arrive separately, and the card would only serve as EAD.
Recently I received my new card, and it has I-512 on it. My AP application case status says the case was received, even though I got the AP through I-512.
I just wanted to share the information. I hope it'll be useful.
I sent my package to Chicago lockbox. It took 2.5 months to get the card.

Sure! First of all, I got approved and the green card is on the way!
Very bad from our side was that we were extremely late. We lined up on the wrong side of the building, on the side of 444 Washington Street with a bunch of people that were already waiting there. My letter said 444 Washington Street, 2nd floor! 20 minutes we were waiting there in the sun with 15 people ahead of us and when it was our turn to chat with the security guard to enter, he said: 'you're at the wrong entrance, go around to the entrance on Sansome street'.Freaking out at this point. We enter through Sansome Street and the security guards were really friendly. We took the elevator up to the second floor and gave my name and we were asked to sit down in the waiting area. Still freaking out about how late we were. We were called 2 minutes after by the officer and entered her office.
The interview itself was very decent, questions about our wedding and wedding date. If my husband has met my parents, stuff like that. She asked me around 10 of those yes/no questions. I gave her all the documents I had, pictures, bank statements even though she did not explicitly asked for particular documents. She told me she will review the documents and 1.5 hour later after we left the status changed to card in production. This was 4/15. Today is 4/21 and it says the card is mailed to me, haven't received it yet.
Wow I can't believe you were misled like that! This is a great insight, thanks a lot!

I've been waiting for my interview to be scheduled since March 2020 in San Francisco. In December I moved in the city, and updated my address. Now when I query my case status, it says that as of December 2020, my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. I also know that similar cases with similar filing times received their interview dates already, or even their green cards. I wonder if this status update is only because of the address change, or would they put my case back in the line. Did anyone experience a similar situation?

Are there any more members who got their interviews scheduled/completed in San Francisco recently? I'm still waiting. I applied in January 2020, my case is ready for an interview since March 4th, 2020.

I got a text message from USCIS exactly 4 weeks after the package was delivered. I received the NOA's shortly after by mail.
Case status says the case was received on March 15th, I got the NOA's and the text messages 3 weeks after that.

My combo card is expiring on June 3 rd. I already got my 6 months extension for EAD, but AP will take some time I believe (case was received on March 15th at NBC). I don't think I'd get the new AP before my combo card expires.
In this case, if I travel abroad and come back maybe 1-2 days before the combo card expires, do you think I'd have problems at the port of entry? Any suggestions?

Does anyone know how long USCIS Chicago lockbox to open packages? USCIS released an update in January (https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-lockbox-updates) saying that lockboxes are experiencing significant delays.
I sent my package for renewal a month ago along with a G-1145, and still didn't hear anything from them. I don't know if it's waiting to be opened, or if there is a mistake and I'll receive it back.
I need the extension of EAD soon (by June) and a new AP as soon as possible. I can't even try to expedite it as I don't have a case number.

Ah, I understand now. And after re-reading the rejection letter, I see the next sentence says includes outdated form as one of the reasons. Thanks for clarifying!!
Do you know how long it took for them to reject? From the time you sent your renewal application to the rejection? And did you receive your evidence/form package back? I'm afraid I also sent outdated forms and I'll receive a rejection. My package was delivered on March 14th.

What?? There is no fee to renew. There is no paying extra to expedite anything.

Thank you very much. I think I got confused with expedite & requesting an emergency AP.

My EAD & AP combo card expires in June. I sent my renewal request two weeks ago, and still didn't hear from them. Now I might need to travel outside of the US while waiting for the renewal for a long enough time such that my current AP would expire.
I'm considering an expedite request for AP. Should I pay 575$ for the new I-131, or is it also waived like the EAD&AP renewal? Thanks a lot!

I believe you can be away from the US on AP for up to a year. You are not yet an LPR and therefore you cannot apply for a re-entry permit.
You can ask for a USCIS infopass appointment to get your AP extended if urgent. If you leave now, without a decision from USCIS for the AP extension, you risk getting your AP expired in June.
I understand. Thank you very much for the information.
