I am afraid that it will be a red flag since I was traveling twice a month on weekends only to Canada

Well, you had to tell them where you traveled anyway on your application, and if it was after you applied you still have to tell them at the interview where you traveled and for how long since you turned in the app. You just have to honestly tell them why you did that if they ask for a reason. As long as you were present in the U.S. for the amount of time required, then there shouldn't be an issue. If a person isn't doing anything illegal or exceeding the time allowed outside the country, they have no issue with a person travelling.

Just realized this topic exists and decided to join in by posting :) I filed on April 25, and my interview is on November 21!

The only "issue" I ran into so far was my original interview date. They scheduled it for October 30 but I am going to be out of town for work, so I requested a new interview date. Thankfully it went smoother than I expected, and they rescheduled it fairly quickly!

I'm excited to get this over with! :)

Welcome to the group! Congratulations on getting your interview date! You can add yourself to our tracker if you would like here:

  5. GUYS! Finally, I have an update! Just got notification from the CaseTracker app that my interview has been scheduled!!!!! I immediately went on egov, typed my case number in and saw this:

On October 17, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOE              . We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The Myaccount.uscis still says "we reviewed your biometrics", estimated case completion "(October 2019)", and estimated wait time "we are taking longer than expected to process your case". There is no sign of an interview being scheduled on that account. I wonder how long it takes to show up there.

Anyway, I am STOKED and will be checking the account a lot over the next few days until I get the date haha 😄

Update: Interview went well! I arrived 40 minutes early and was out within an hour!

There was no problem with me being laid off last week. I provided him with the separation letter and he quickly looked. He said I will receive a letter with the details for the oath ceremony!

For those in Boston: if your interview is in Lawrence, I parked at the hospital - free parking!

    Thanks for all the support!

Woooohooo! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your experience and please let us know when you get your oath date! YAY 😄
