Hello!
We sent petitions for my husband's parents (and siblings) on 7/22. I have added the info to the spreadsheet.

Meet your newest US Citizen
So this is a TL of events that took place today, I like details so I am going to try and be as detailed as possible..
- my interview was supposed to be at 8:10am
- got there at 7:55am had to wait 5mins for them to open the doors
- 8:40 am my interviewer called my name
I swore in, she asked for my green card she took my fingerprints (left and right index finger) then she made me answer questions from application (full name, DOB, spouse full name, spouse DOB, address, date of marriage, when did you become a permanent resident, places you’ve traveled outside the US ((this made me super nervous because I did not remember the exact dates)), where do you work, places you’ve lived and so on.. then she moved on to the yes or no questions from my application (have you ever committed a crime? been a habitual drunkard...) - Then she started with the test, no warning what so ever, my questions were:
what does the president cabinet do who is in charge of the executive branch what is the name of the vice president what is the economic system of the United States who is the commander and chief of the military what did the declaration of independence do? - read: who was George Washington
- write: Washington was the first president
- then I had to sign the tablet twice saying that everything is true & check that all my information was correct
- she gave me a sheet saying she was recommending me for approval (YAY)
- she then asked if I wanted to be scheduled for the oath ceremony in August or September or I could do it today, I opted to do it today of course!! so she asked me to have a seat in the waiting room by that time it was 8:57am.
9:05 am - while waiting my status changed online to "case was submitted for quality review based on an approval recommendation"
9:20am - I was called to the counter, she took my green card and asked questions about "since your interview have you committed any crimes, got divorced, traveled outside the country and so on..." the officer was like you haven't done any of these things in the last ten minutes? we both laughed
I completed my oath ceremony, was given my certificate, a mini flag and a package before I got to my car my status changed online to "certificate of naturalization was issued"
All in all I am so happy to be done with this process. Good luck to everyone. If anyone has any questions let me know.

Sooo, Ik everybody is waiting to know how my interview went ; and the answer is great !!!!
i passed my interview . Yaaaayyy!!! 😂
I left my house 2 hrs before my interview ; even tho the USCIS office is , 40 min away from my house . Just to be safe, Incase it rains or stuck in traffic.
I got there 11:30 but they couldn’t take me in till 12 pm. So I waited another 30 min and I cocked in .
There was 12 people in the waiting room . Not bad!!! I waited 45 min and I got called in .
The officer, introduced her self and told me to follow her , which I did ! when we got to her office , She told me not to sit yet , She told me to say words after her , made me swore then told me yo sit . Then , started with a yes and no question after that she asked me if I wanted to change my name , I said yes , I changed my name to the nick name my husband uses to call me . She said me how my marriage is , I answered fantastic. Then she asked why is it fantastic? I answered my husband is a good provider, a good husband and father
. Then she said now I will ask you history .,,. I said, I’m ready ma’am!
The civic question were so easy .
1, what’s an amendments?
a change or an addition to the constitution
2, Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
Thomas Jefferson
3, What is the supreme law of the land?
the constitution
4, What is the “rule of law”?
no one is above the law
5, What is the name of the national anthem?
the star spangled banner
6, Who signs bills to become laws?
the president.
then she made me read , Columbus Day is on October. Then told me to right it back but I couldn’t spell Columbus Day right so she told me to write Washington is the capital. I wrote that right . The she said congratulations. I passed . U will get a latter in the mail . U will go to the court to change ur name the shake we shake hands and I left .
Sorry, I’m not a good English writer but I’m sure y’all can figure it out lol.
Good day and good luck to everybody !!
