It will be flagged/ caught.
But you can fix at interview. As soon as he sits down with IO, that's the first thing that he should utter.
Thank you for the assistance and concern.
However, I was able to correct the error using the uscis service request "make typographic error corrections for a case".

My husband, a US citizen who just filed an i-130 for his mom and made a typographic error (mistake) on his dad's date of birth, who he intend to file his petition afterwards.
Be advised, USCIS have his dad's correct date of birth on his i-130 and N400 previous petition on their database, will this affect the consular officer's decision for the approval of his mom's petition?
Can anyone advise us on how to correct this or way to go.
Thanks.

I-130. The step-son cannot be a derivative of your husband's case. Either you or your husband will have to file an I-130 to start the process (assuming an I-130 was never filed for the step-son)..
Thank you.

Dear Visajourney family,
I'm an American Citizen, after the approval of my husband's I-130.
My step son was stated on my husband's DS-260 (online immigrant visa and alien registration application) that he'll be immigrating to the USA at a later date to join us.
Do we need to file a I-824 or I-130 for the continuation of his immigration process / visa journey.
Kindly advise us.

My husband was asked on his online immigrant visa and alien registration application (DS-260) if he's (son) migrating to the U.S with him then or a later date to join him.

I'm a U.S Citizen and my husband is a U.S lawful permanent resident.
The child is my step son (husband's son).
Thank you.

Dear Visajourney family,
Kindly advise us in respect to my husband's son listed on his immigrant application as a child immigrating to the U.S at a later date to join him.
Thank you.

I am not sure anyone can answer that question. The best course of action right now is to get the requested information back to the consulate as soon as possible, but each case is individual, so there could be other delays such as further background checks, etc. Hopefully once he submits the requested documents, it will be soon for both of you.
Good Luck!
Thank you for your response. No other delays just the birth certificate. They changed the type of birth certificate required after a certain date of birth. He is going right now to get it … lol
Thank You

Hello
This morning my husband went for his interview and was approved but was told he needs to upload and bring a different birth certificate. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive his visa after this?
Thank You

Not sure what advice is needed.
No choice but to go for the interview on the new date.
Unless you can get an earlier date.
Sorry about the additional time added to the process for you. Be glad you have an interview date.
Indeed!, we are glad, thank you. 1

Dear Visa journeyers,
My interview was rescheduled due to inability to update / re-submit a new DS-260 application due to technical issues on the website, is there anyone experiencing such?. if so, please advise.
Thank you.

@Kristin H. have yu tried an expedite? Your embassy is pretty quiet and I would request it. Doesn't hurt to try.
Congratulations on the upcoming miracle. How joyous.
My husband and I got DQ'ed December 4 and we are still waiting, but different places have different times. The whole process has been 2 solid years for us almost 3 and we have been very diligent. Although we know someone that it only took a few months to go to the UK. COVID has been the cause of the delay but at least they are back working. Congratulations on your bundle of joy. I pray you and your husband can be together for the delivery.

Hello Visa journeyers,
We got documentarily qualified (DQd) December 2020 and was requested to add a joint affidavit of support (AOS) January 2021. Can anyone please help us unravel the following puzzles;
i. Will the joint affidavit of support (AOS) status on the NVC website change from "SUBMITTED" to "ACCEPTED" after NVC accept it.
ii. Are we suppose to have been schedule an interview date or is the wait not too long ?
Thanks.

Dear Visa journeyers,
My husband should be scheduled for his interview anytime soon.Does he need to go to the interview with all my (petitioner’s) documents uploaded on the NVC website.
Thank you.

You should take any originals you have, they may or may not ask for them, but also bring copies, this is for the case that they want to keep something.
This will also vary by country.
If the petitioner has been divorced they'll likely want to see that.
And every case is unique so it can really vary in what they'd want to see or don't care about.
Thank you

Can you be more specific as to what is being asked for from the petitioner? During this phase of the process, nothing is typically needed from the petitioner.
Thanks for your response but like the original divorce decree from previous marriage and passport, etc
