Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

We are planning a courthouse marriage and will probably do a party or something later to get as many friends and family together as possible.  Its way cheaper and tends to be a bit quicker getting all the paperwork back. We just have so much to do prior to him getting here and during the time that he is here, that we dont want to put that kind of energy and stress on top of all the other things we have to plan. 

Hello! We sent our I-129F on September 10. Got NOA1 text message on September 20. And got NOA 1 letter on October 27. We are applying overseas.

Definitely, we want as less stress as possible lol 11/25 will be our 60 day mark! I’ve been trying not to focus to much on counting days lol seems to make time go by faster that way lol

You need to have an acta inextensa which he can get from the local junta in la Romana that is where my husband got his and it is the quickest way to get it within a matter of minutes depending on how many people are in that office waiting. Then he has to pay his fees at a banreserva, then take his birth certificate and receipt of payment to the San Pedro de Macoris office for passports. Unfortunately right now they are not doing a VIP which helps “expedite” the process at an extra fee. They will give him an estimated time on when he can go pick up his passport and he will have to go and check on whichever date they give him. 

I was asking cos I havent received anything. So I guess i wont get one if i havent gotten one by now.

Unfortunately, I don't think that anyone is in the clear until they receive the Approval Notice (NOA2). There are people who received RFEs 100+ days after they received the Receipt Notice (NOA1).

One case 500+ days and RFE your not safe until  NOA2 and some rare  cases not even then.

I'm growing a lot through this immigration process. I, like a lot of people, have my moments but I've come to realize that there is only so much that I can do. I-129F/K-1 Visa is only the first part of this lengthy process; there are still AOS, ROC, and, for some people, Naturalization. There are times when I feel overwhelmed by such a great undertaking but I do my best to keep my eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel. This too shall pass. I can worry my life away but I would rather revel in the fact that each day is a day closer to my happily ever after.
 
Hold on, our happy-endings are coming!

Very well said I have been following your post and replies and you have been giving well thought out and written advice in many areas of VJ. That means you are maturing VJ wise and the immigration's process wise. That's very good. Yes happy times are coming just hang in there. I've been through the mill as my time line can portray, so I can understand most of what folks are feeling here in VJ. I'm just here to help where I can especially if they are petitioning from the Philippines. Are you the beneficiary might I ask?

I don't think @Greenbaum  meant in his post the way you took it. I think he simply meant for the amount of time and information he puts out to people in this forum why would you not at least read and listen to his advice and or insights. I don't think he was taunting his expertise in the way you took it. Just look for yourself the amount of examples, letters, pamphlets and links that he has posted it's all there for you us too see. IMO I found most of what he has put out to be a very good rallying point for ANY K1 journey!!!!!!

When I made that statement it was done so that a those are in the "chat" group would understand that their not amongst experts but others like them when they go off to some FB or chat group. I see it all the time that when a group of people go off and start a FB or some other means to chat about the process they loose perspective because they are asking others only about their experience and if they are all about the same point in their journey it's just a sharing moment. Just like on VJ they are asking the wrong audience on what to do. Some one from Germany is asking the group, who are at the same point in their collective journey, and are from different country will in most cases receive the wrong information. That's because each embassy is different. What works for on may not work another. 
 
Here is a recent case of someone in a group and they are comparing themselves to others from that group when "her" experience is just like everyone else and is normal. But because she is in a group she is judging her path with theirs. Just saying.
 
 
They came to VJ for a reason and that was to have a better understanding of what needs to be done to reach their goal of a visa. Most want to do it without any hiccups.  Their are "experts" here on VJ that spend hours of their time volunteering to help with little or no recognition. Most don't even get a thank you for a reply with many links to help answer "the next step" question.

It's not too early to gather documents but I would hold off in filling out the I-134 as you don't know when you will be approved and at that time what the current I-134 will look like. Give it some more time.

Well another month under your belts, you are all moving right along. Soon you'll be shouting!

We dont really use the chat as a way for advice for the k1- we mostly just chit chat, relieve stress, talk about the relationships themselves and all that.  We are mostly just discussing random things
