  1. I called NVC today and they said my case is still ready to ship and isn't being held or anything so hoping it ships tomorrow.

    However, I just saw this
    https://au.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/?fbclid=IwAR2jPSdn-8PdkhG7sJLu0GiLbQI4dbyFR1pdE23PgkQFegXSt-uMdL9P_X0
So it sounds like I won't be able to proceed which is sad and has its own set of challenges.. e.g. time lapse.

I have been reading so many posts that their visa interviews are postpone- read covid19. :( This gets me worried cos the NVC just received my packet on 13 March 2020 (Fri). I wanna hope to get our case number end of Monday.

Anyone could speak from their experience from the moment they find out their packet is received by the NVC how long after they would get their case number?

@Greenbaum Thank you for your detailed input. I am still reading the pdf you put together. I

Mine took about two weeks to get my case number but I missed the cut off date for shipping the following week so I am hoping mine ships out on the 17th as normal. No bans for Australia yet and we still have open borders for most countries so.. Let's see what happens.

  3. Anyone in this group had their interviews canceled yet due to the travel ban? Seen it around a few other places.
I am hoping my case still ships out from the NVC on Tuesday as scheduled and after that I am not sure. Hopefully Australia just flies under the radar for now. If we get a ban I understand as it is to keep people -like my own fiance- safe but I don't want to play the whole will my visa expire game tbh.

  4. This has been on my mind too. I am not moving until July - not by choice though! It's the agreement I have currently with the K2's father and I do worry that something might happen between now and then. I keep just thinking that at least I am from Australia and they are unlikely at this stage anyway to impose travel bans for here. Who knows though!

  5. Just did my K1 and K2 DS-160 applications today. I was going to do the payment but might wait as my case is still at NVC until it gets to Sydney and then pay and submit. I had a look and it seems confusing how to pay for K2. Do I need two separate accounts for us or can I add K2 to my account and pay both?

  6. Hi! I have gone over the checklists and other requirements as well as reading some reviews (to know that they are now asking for photos). So I have made up a list of things I need to collect as my case makes its way to Sydney next week. I was hoping I can have someone check over and see if I am missing anything? I am worried about i-134 particularly but I think I have enough info? Plus no police certs for my 2 year old, right haha.

Just looking at this form and it seems simple enough BUT a lot of the questions seem to be aimed as if one has already lived in the US e.g. US tax returns. So question 11 is about benefits your US family use, right? It just lists American ones. In Australia I have received some benefits the last few years as a solo parent going to university full time. But that doesn't even matter it seems like?

  8. Hi @Greenbaum,

I have just been reading on the i-134 and this is what both my partner and co-sponsor are providing

    i-134
    Transcripts
    W2
    Letter from employer
    Pay stubs

Four of these as we have a K2 as well so need four copies.

But I read on a really old post that the co-sponsor needs to provide proof of identity e.g. birth cert copy or passport bio page. Is this true as I haven't read it anywhere else? I know my partner doesn't.

    Thanks!

So excited to see so many in transit!!

My NOA2 is on Feb 10th. Just checked and still shows "at NVC"...

    Hmm...🤔

As suggested on pdf, the next shipping date may be on March 17th. So I may have to wait until then? 🤔😵

I am happy for everyone but also sad as I am in the same boat. NOA2 02/13 and it wasn't on this shipment even though I received my case number last week. Two weeks is such a long way away!
