My status changed to in transit! I’m really happy as I was starting to think they wouldn’t ship!

I am worried about this too but I imagine they would extend it due to the circumstances. However, only time will tell.
I hope so but I’ve seen so many people say that’s impossible already and they won’t extend it. Someone said the Spanish US embassy told them they’d have to start the process again.

Thank you.
I was also thinking about the backlog. USCIS is still approving cases and I am sure ppl are still submitting them at the same pace as before so look out for the on slot of delays at NVC and Embassies. I see a night mare coming.
Me too. But I’m mostly worried about my case expiring at NVC now.

Hi Cillah, there are a few people I chat with whose case number was received early march and still in NVC. We receive our case number on 16th and hoping it would make it out on 17th too...
yeah it sadly still hasn’t shipped.
-
I am in the same boat. My biggest worry is that the NOA2 will expire whilst it is sitting at NVC. At least we can extend it at the embassy.

Saw this on the TV this morning.

I called yesterday and they said there’s no issues shipping mine to Au but wouldn’t tell me when that would be. I’m hoping today as it’s been a long wait from two weeks ago when I missed that shipment date.
-
I called NVC today and they said my case is still ready to ship and isn't being held or anything so hoping it ships tomorrow.
However, I just saw this
https://au.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/?fbclid=IwAR2jPSdn-8PdkhG7sJLu0GiLbQI4dbyFR1pdE23PgkQFegXSt-uMdL9P_X0
So it sounds like I won't be able to proceed which is sad and has its own set of challenges.. e.g. time lapse. -

I have been reading so many posts that their visa interviews are postpone- read covid19. This gets me worried cos the NVC just received my packet on 13 March 2020 (Fri). I wanna hope to get our case number end of Monday.
Anyone could speak from their experience from the moment they find out their packet is received by the NVC how long after they would get their case number?
@Greenbaum Thank you for your detailed input. I am still reading the pdf you put together. I
Mine took about two weeks to get my case number but I missed the cut off date for shipping the following week so I am hoping mine ships out on the 17th as normal. No bans for Australia yet and we still have open borders for most countries so.. Let's see what happens.
-
Anyone in this group had their interviews canceled yet due to the travel ban? Seen it around a few other places.
I am hoping my case still ships out from the NVC on Tuesday as scheduled and after that I am not sure. Hopefully Australia just flies under the radar for now. If we get a ban I understand as it is to keep people -like my own fiance- safe but I don't want to play the whole will my visa expire game tbh. -
Quick question. So I have a co-sponsor. For my fiance in his i-134 he is putting a household size of 3 correct? Himself, me and the K2. However, his father is going to put 5 - himself, his wife, my fiance, me and the K2. Is that right? I never really thought about it but they are fine being different?
-
This has been on my mind too. I am not moving until July - not by choice though! It's the agreement I have currently with the K2's father and I do worry that something might happen between now and then. I keep just thinking that at least I am from Australia and they are unlikely at this stage anyway to impose travel bans for here. Who knows though!

Just did my K1 and K2 DS-160 applications today. I was going to do the payment but might wait as my case is still at NVC until it gets to Sydney and then pay and submit. I had a look and it seems confusing how to pay for K2. Do I need two separate accounts for us or can I add K2 to my account and pay both?
Assuming this is the right place - https://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/au-niv-visafeeinfo.asp -
Hi! I have gone over the checklists and other requirements as well as reading some reviews (to know that they are now asking for photos). So I have made up a list of things I need to collect as my case makes its way to Sydney next week. I was hoping I can have someone check over and see if I am missing anything? I am worried about i-134 particularly but I think I have enough info? Plus no police certs for my 2 year old, right haha.

Just looking at this form and it seems simple enough BUT a lot of the questions seem to be aimed as if one has already lived in the US e.g. US tax returns. So question 11 is about benefits your US family use, right? It just lists American ones. In Australia I have received some benefits the last few years as a solo parent going to university full time. But that doesn't even matter it seems like?

You're not alone.
Apparently I didn’t even finish my post lol so I’m glad you knew what I was saying! It’s somewhat reassuring to know it wasn’t just China! Just delayed due to case number being assigned after Wednesday I guess!

Thanks @Greenbaum! I appreciate it must be very annoying to repeat things in the PDF so I do apologise!
One other question. Does my co-sponsor need to provide any proof of identity? -
Hi @Greenbaum,
I have just been reading on the i-134 and this is what both my partner and co-sponsor are providing
i-134
Transcripts
W2
Letter from employer
Pay stubs
Four of these as we have a K2 as well so need four copies.
But I read on a really old post that the co-sponsor needs to provide proof of identity e.g. birth cert copy or passport bio page. Is this true as I haven't read it anywhere else? I know my partner doesn't.Thanks!

I reviewed the pdf again. It suggested that the status may change later in the day or even next day. Let's pray. 🙏 Hope we are all on this shipment!
I will keep my fingers crossed for the both of us!

So excited to see so many in transit!!
My NOA2 is on Feb 10th. Just checked and still shows "at NVC"...
Hmm...🤔
As suggested on pdf, the next shipping date may be on March 17th. So I may have to wait until then? 🤔😵
I am happy for everyone but also sad as I am in the same boat. NOA2 02/13 and it wasn't on this shipment even though I received my case number last week. Two weeks is such a long way away!
Just Called NVC Again, Case Still at NVC!! Taking So LONG!!
