    A lot of red flags here. High fraud country, getting engaged on first visit, very short relationship. Any other red flags? Big age gap? Does your girlfriend have a good (stable) job?

    This is an immigration forum, not a religious or (anti) vaccination forum and the experienced members here have a lot of knowledge about immigration so this is why they are here. The bottom line is that if you refuse vaccinations based on your religious or personal beliefs, it should not be very difficult to explain that part when you file for the waiver. Do you have a Plan B in case the waiver doesn’t get approved?

    You say “there were no vaccines when the bible was written”, so that makes me wonder which part of the bible made people decide that they are against vaccines. That would be part that you can refer to if you want to apply for the waiver.

    Very cute but no need to bring it. Bring some pictures or other proof of your relationship if it makes you feel more prepared but you will very likely not even be asked for any of that.

    Is this more of an arranged marriage or something? If not, I would be very careful when somebody brings up marriage, especially if you come with the huge bonus of immigration benefits to the US.

    For I-751’s, people usually get an RFE (if they get one) for updated evidence because I-751’s take so long. I received one too, and the RFE clearly stated that is was because they needed updated evidence, which could include updated bank statements. Sending every bank statement from the last 2 years really is overkill..

    Is all of the evidence really good evidence or just a lot of the same things (2 years of bank statements for example)?

    I think greencard holders can submit a FOIA request for their travel history, correct?

    I had this exact situation happen to me. My I-751 got approved while I was abroad. I already saw online that it was approved and I asked my husband to bring the card when he was going to pick me up at the airport. I was pulled into secondary when I arrived back in the US and the CBP agent asked if I knew that my I-751 had been approved (he pulled up my case) and I said “yes, my husband has my green card and is waiting for me in the arrivals hall”. He let me in without any issues.

    I know they are not supposed to buy tickets prior to having their visa, that was not the point I was making..

    What is preventing you from booking a return ticket? Usually a trip has a start and an end?

    It seems like he doesn’t want to. Does this not raise a red flag with you? And don’t you mean: “I can’t think of anyone who would purposely want to miss their interview to go to the person they are about to get married to”? If his desire to come to the US would be bigger than his desire to get married to you, that wouldn’t be good. Him purposely missing his interview shows that he is not ready to get married to you yet.

    When did you enter the US and claim asylum? When did you marry? Is your country safe now?

    I know that the mother just wants to visit and that yes, her daughter can petition for an immigrant visa if she wanted her to move. Not sure what you mean by “being old is an automatic tie to her home country”.

    I am not fighting with you, and also not accusing her of anything. Just talking about how the CO will look at it.

    I know not everybody wants to move to the US, but that’s what the CO will assume so she needs to focus on her ties to Jamaica. It’s not so much about luck, it’s about assessing how high the risk is and sometimes a CO makes an incorrect assessment.

    What is going to prevent her from having you file an adjustment of status for her once she is in the US? What does she have in Jamaica that will prevent her from staying in the US? The Embassy will want to know how strong her ties to Jamaica are to assess how much of a risk she is for not leaving the US. She needs to focus on those ties.

    The I-130 is not necessary for the adjustment of status process from a K1 if you marry within the required 90 days. Here is the guide:

    You can file for AOS but don’t underestimate how challenging this process is (not being able to work or leave the US for a while). It can put a lot of pressure on a marriage and if big life events happen ‘back home’ (sickness, deaths, etc) you might not be able to be there. The timelines for work and travel authorizations (if you decide to file for those, but they are optional) vary a lot. Some people can work after 3 months, others had to wait closer to a year. Think really hard and long about going this route. The adjustment of status always sounds great until it doesn’t. Don’t make this decision with your heart, make it with your brain.

    You mean if she’s able to visit you while it’s processing? Yes, but always up to CBP of course and she needs to make sure to keep her visits short and her ties to the UK strong.

    Which wife did you marry first? The one in your home country or the US Citizen wife? So your wife ‘back home’ will not only be without a spouse (very loose term) but also without her children???? Also, did you naturalize based on the marriage in the US or through different means?

    Talk to her first to see how she feels about being stuck for a while without being able to work or leave. The adjustment of status process always sounds great until it doesn’t. If she is good with the above, you can start the adjustment of status process. If she’s not, then go the CR1 route and have her leave after her visit.
