All the documents you file and hand personally during interviews, go directly to your A-file. There's no reason to be concerned about it.

Approvals can happen on the spot, later on the day of the interview or the following days. Based on reports around the forum, very few receive an RFE after the interview.

If the interviewing officer is not senior, they need to go through a supervisor to approve the decision.

So again, no reason to worry -though I understand one can't simply avoid worrying as the whole process is stressful-.

Totally!  Yeah my worry is that I had proof of a miscarriage and I told him but he didn’t asked to see them.

I understand, it feels like until we get our interview approval our future is super uncertain. It'll be a huge relief when we get approved. What has made me feel better was reading over interview experiences and hearing a lot of people get approved on the spot, as long as they are prepared/have evidence of bonafide marriage.

Totally agree. I’m still printing things lol. Just to make sure.

  3. Hello,

i have my interview on August 15, 2019 in Newark. I am very excited ! Here’s what I have so far.

    - Bio docs ( nat certificate, passports, divorce degree, birth certificate with translation)

    - bank statements for the last three months, our separate account , our joint accounts and letters of our credit cards. He added me to his credit line because I have bad credit ( my husband is a DACA recipient)

    - dental insurance I get from his employer.

    - joint tax filling

    - photos (33 of them)

    - car insurance together

    - apartment lease

    - internet and light bills on his name (again I have bad credit

    - proof of pregnancy. I was 7 weeks pregnant and I lost the baby. I have sonogram and documentation from the hospital of my miscarriage.

I was married before my husband with a horrible horrible man that I petition for from the Dominican Republic. He used me for the greencard and lie and he has a final restraining order against me (don’t want to talk about it). I reported to immigration that he used me for the greencard and sent letters.

Would i I have a problem? Do I need more documentation? I love my husband so much and shouldn’t pay for my stupid mistake.

  4. Should I be worried? I filed for AOS on October 2019. We DID NOT apply for EAD because he has DaCA. We never received the travel document and today I got an email stating they sent me an interview notice. I am worried because I was previously married and petitioned for my husband and he used me. This marriage is for real I’m just worried about my past. I’m excited but nervous at the same time.

I did that, and his answer eventhough reasonable still made me wonder, he said that we couldn't survive in his country, he is right but I always wondered if that was just an excuse.

Sorry my acct was locked, yes, it can happen to anyone and this I learned the hard way but thank goodness that I woke up before it was too late.

Ywah lucky for you! I woke up when it was too late!!

For the sake of anonymity I have created a new account with the hopes of sharing my current situation and possibly helping someone else. I am an active member on here and do not and will not share any personal details so do not ask because I am not sharing, all I will say is that he is from a high fraud country.

    My situation is the following:

I caught my husband talking to women and on dating sites, he has displayed countless times that when we are okay he is faithful, when we have a disagreement or argument he flies to open a dating app and starts talking to others. I didn't want to believe that he was just in it for a green card but I should've gone with what was being shown to me. He showed me that he was ungrateful, disrespectful and childish yet I chose to continue, I am a beautiful woman so for those people always talking about red flag this or that, I am young and good looking with a great job and personality. He put up the best of farces to get what he ultimately wanted. I have now cut the cord and moving forward, I am not a weak person and do not accept BS, this is cut with no return. Hoping that you ladies open your eyes to the signs and if it doesn't feel right is because it isn't.

Good luck to all on your journeys.

    Amber

I wish I could give you a hug right now. The same thing happened to me. I always felt something wasn’t right. And it wasn’t ! My ex husband who I petition to come from the DR had a double life while we were married so please !! Don’t think you are alone.

you also applied EAD and AP, and received? which center? I am in NBC.....very slow for EAD/AP.
I guess my EAD/AP may get approved when i have interview.......which makes ead useless.

You just made me feel so much better. I applied for AP but not the EAD because my husband has Daca, we haven’t receive anything, we had plans on going on vacation but I guess we’ll wait for the Greencard as well.  I am also at the NBC

AP is taking about 6 to 8 months.

When is the interview? If AP is approved before AOS you will receive a stand-alone document:

We have not received the intwerview notice yet, they only said our case is in the line for it. Which  I know it can take a long time so we are not rushing that. We just want to go on vacation.
