My wife’s name is not on the mortgage or the home. Only the utility bill is under both of our name would that be sufficient? Any suggestions?

Driver's license is enough to prove the residential address. However, joint house title deed can also be used to prove jointly owned asset. You might need to enhance evidence of jointly owned property in other ways, such as joint checking accounts, saving accounts, brokerage, credit card accounts etc.

  2. Another week passed and another week without any updates.

It's frustrating yet interesting that my current stage of life is all about waiting, waiting for the peer reviewers' decisions on my manuscripts, waiting for my dissertation grants application result, waiting for my committee members' feedback, and waiting for USCIS updates. All the waiting time seems to be open-ended and has no predictable point of contact.

I guess that's just part of life.

I am kinda worried now. Currently my husband and I we separated due to infidelity on his part. It is a stressful time and now this add to to the stress. An interview would be mind blowing right now.

I agree with what others said. Now won't be a good time to separate from him. It's not worth it losing the 10 year card.

Update: Today I got the following email response from USCIS for my e-request:

"The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate your Receipt Notice was never initially ordered.  We have requested the notice be sent to the address listed in our systems. You should receive it within 10-14 business days.
    "

Hoping to get my NOA1 (extension) letter soon.

I just received my extension letter today. Hope you already got it or will get it soon!

My wife's expires mid march.  I called today to the USCIS line.  I called right at 8am est when they opened and still had to wait 30 minutes or so to talk to someone after getting through the 6 levels of menus to get to the option of talking to someone.   We sent her i751 in at the end of December and the check was cashed the first week of January.   The person I talked to on the phone said they have not mailed out the NOA letter yet.  They are really backed up.   She said we should get a response to our request to get it by March 6th.  I'm not sure what was meant by "response".   She then said if we had travel plans in the next few months out of the country to call and get an appointment to get a stamp.  She said the letter will eventually arrive.   She said that you can check status at myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov and print your letter if it's been processed but not mailed.  That system has been down since this morning so I haven't been able to make a login to find out.   If you call the USCIS number, the one applying has to be on the phone.   They won't help you if you call for your spouse and she's not available to answer questions.

Thanks a lot for the info!  I don't plan to call and deal with the waiting time before getting through. In the worst scenario I'll have my passport stamped. The only issue is I need to renew my driver's license, and likely I'll pay the renewal fee three times within two years 😒

Hi @cute_pretzel! Are you able check your case status on the USCIS website?

I get a "Validation error" when checking case status on the old website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

yeah, I'm able to check the status. It shows case was received. Are you able to check it now?

Haven't received the NOA letter. I planning to send them a message soon.

  7. Hi all,

I notice that there are four offices adjudicating I-751, which are WAC (California), EAC (Vermont), LIN (Nebraska), and SRC (Texas). Since the processing times vary across the four adjudicating offices, I'd like to start a new group of filers with receipt number starting with LIN, which is also where my case has been sent to. If you have filed 751 in past few years or recently and got adjudicated by LIN, would you be kindly share your timeline? Below is my timeline so far:

    12/29/2018: Package mailed, USPS Priority

    12/31/2018: Package delivered

1/7/2019: text notification that case was received

    1/8/2019: check cashed $680

I'll keep updated as my case progresses :)
