She did not interview my husband, but I did let her know he is available and sitting in the car if needed lol… just confirmation of our marriage date, place of residence, where I am working.. I took our new insurance cards, all tax return transcripts since 2019, utility bills with our names on them, bank accounts. Although she never asked for any of it: just confirmed that our insurances are still the same. When I told her we changed insurances Jan 2023, she asked for those. That was it.

what questions did officer asked you and your husband in general about I-751 and what documents did you take with you?

Thank you.. no, it didn’t. The Officer checked my greencard, saw that the I-751 was still pending, and told me that she will interview me first for that before proceeding to the N400. She said questions may overlap, so bear with her.

The craziest thing happened today: I received not one, not 2, but 7 notification letters for my interview on Jan 10th 😂 I thought it was just a glitch in USPS Website this morning… I haven’t opened the other 5 envelopes yet lol.
I just had my combo interview for the I-751 and N-400 applications, both went well. I over prepared for any and all documents I could think of, but nothing was asked of me except the new insurance cards. Will now be waiting for the letter / appointment on my oath taking 😍🙏

@I-751Dallas Oklahoma City… I submitted my online application on Sept 15th.

You are right! thank you 🥰
interview on January 10th, yay!
meanwhile, my petition to remove conditions on my permanent residence has no movements whatsoever.

You will also find form N400 - way more streamlined and easier to assemble (less documents and supporting evidence). You can file online and by mail Lawyers for some reason are old-school and do it by mail (they don't like the online system and complained having issues with it when it launched) - but I know personally people who did it online and got citizenship in under 6 months. So maybe there was an issue when they launched it, but it seems working totally fine in last year and so. Lots of people use online filing - and reported no issues whatsoever. So it's probably just a personal preference.
Thank you for the tips.. I was also considering filing online just so I don’t have to photocopy docs, but alas, I got locked out of my online account, and they haven’t responded to my query to unblock it, except for providing me with service issue reference number, with a dire warning NOT to submit another request for the said issue as it may delay my original request 😂😂😂It is really good to know that N400 is a tad easier to put together than all our previous applications. Although I am curious to know if they do combo interview/s for the Removal of Conditions, along with the N400?

Oh wow, I didn’t know it was THAT bad on the Removal of Conditions 🥺 I just keep on delaying submitting N400 ( early filing eligibility was Aug 2023 ) because I was hoping that something will update on the I-751 soon.. looks like that is not gonna happen anytime soon.. I am taking your advice: I’m gonna put together the N400 and mail it in the next week or two. Thanks so much!
36 minutes ago, Maria P. said:If you are eligible by now - you definitely should go for N400 in my opinion - it will be faster. With my i751 I didn't even get biometric reuse notice - absolutely nothing. Online there is only a "case received" status and i got extension letters... With N400 I got biometrics reuse notice in 2 days + actively reviewing status. Moreover, we have 2 people from August 23 N400 filers who already received interview notices scheduled for October 23, despite 9 month typical turnaround.
My i751 was routed to Potomac and I heard this is a dead-end for couple years, because they are bottlenecked there... So applying with N400 was a no-brainer.
Fun story: while I was travelling this August -> was returning from a Dominican vacay to Orlando -> immigration officer was checking my i751 notice letter upon entry and asked me why I don't apply for N400 for citizenship and told me that the removal of conditions is a nightmare with USCIS now, and it takes years. I told him that I already got N400 filled with lawyer and they just couldn't send it to USCIS while I was not on US soil (you must be in the country when sending it), but we are filing in next couple days.
Moral of the story - if even the immigration officer at the airport suggest to file N400 - I guess this is the way)

382 days and no updates still… and to add insult to injury, I got locked out of my online account lol 😂 I tried to contact them and they just gave me a reference number, no updates on that either..
might as well send the N-400 via mail.

Exactly 300 days since case was received, no movements except the 48-month extension..
-
Just received my 48 months extension today too.. sigh.. 230 days since case was received. Oh well, I guess it is what it is.

I haven’t seen any update too, Texas service center. Not even fingerprint update
Exact same thing here: no updates whatsoever, 196 days since case was received.

160 days since filing and no word whatsoever..
I sent a case inquiry 10/17/2022 regarding biometrics, I got the standard reply that “ we will schedule you for biometrics but it can take more than 90 days because of backlogs…”
I would breathe easy when this is all over and our case is approved… we can file for naturalization already, but I can’t see the point in doing so, when the hold up is in the lifting of conditions…
anybody heard anything?

I would try not to panic yet. It might be worth calling again to try to speak to a Tier 2 officer?
That’s what I would do too! Keep us posted @muddyboots

Yes it varies up and down. Nothing we can do about that but wait. I'm SRC too filed in January coming up on a year soon.
Right you are Sarge, thank you.. I am a little worried though, as we are planning to go outside the country February 2023.. I am just so scared that I will not be allowed entry back with just the extension letter lol.. I know that is an irrational fear though.

I just checked the processing time for Texas Service Center and it is now 13 months.. when I submitted our papers 55 days ago, it was around 11.5 months… sigh 😔
