I am wondering if MSC is starting to issue the GC without interview? I got approved on March 14 even though it stated my case was ready for interview. I did call them over a month before asking for the status. Maybe calling them flagged the case and they decided to approve it.
It is hard to believe that would have caused the approval being over a month since I called, but who knows. All I know is it as approved just one month before 2 years. I originally filed in April 2021.
I was a bit shocked to be approved given that that MSC is a shoe in for an interview. Anyway, just wanted to update and find if there are similar MSC folk now experiencing approval without interview.
My case was approved two weeks ago after not hearing anything back till November 2021 that my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview. Got my extension letter for 48 months and 5 days later the approval notice online. Letter made it 3 days later. Just waiting for the new GC right now, seems like that takes longer than usual. Took exactly 2 years, well one day early ;).

What service center was your application being process out of?
I am only aware of MSC. I never got any other notifications after the status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview". Waiting for the new card right now after receiving the approval notice.

Yes that's correct. From when you submitted i751 bring as much as you can cos I learned the hard way wiy an rfe. This made me went to my last n400 with a pile of documents and only greencard and passport was asked by the officer.Have you filed for Citizenship yet? If not it's Advise to do that as it will push your case.
Not yet. I don't want to give up my German citizenship right now but they make it really difficult to become Dual, so I'll see. I'd just like to get this accomplished as it's been almost 2 years already.
Great, yeah I have all those docs available, will take a little bit to sort them but I already planned to bring those things.

It just updates of life between me and my wife. Different leases. New insurances and renewals with recent dates, pictures of kids birthday and travel itenary ,joint bank statements recent month. My case made almost 2 years. I will say like one year 8 months cos I applied on 02/2021 for i751, then applied on 02/2022 for N400. SO I think you are within normal time frame.
I applied 02/2021 as well but after Biometrics, 11/2021 was a the last update, case ready to be scheduled for an interview.
Okay, they didn't want to see anything weird. I am prepared to bring this actually as from what I read one is supposed to bring evidence from the time you sent the application till the interview.

Yes , I did. The first Interview was on 12/07/2022 but I didn't go with enough evidence for I751. So I was sent a rfe which I submitted then case was approved the following week. Then my second N400 interview was rescheduled.
What evidence was needed additionally? My case hasn't moved on since 11/2021.

ALL I-751 s are included, regardless of any previous interviews or lack of if they score well on the Risk Based Checklist…and can be approved by the Service Centers instead of being sent to local Field Office…but I don’t think Field Offices would cancel an existing interview . There are quite a few I-751 threads/ forums on VJ, u can try researching recent posts
Well the interview hasn't been scheduled, the case is ready to be scheduled, is my status. That's why was wondering if this is a situation that doesn't benefit of that new rule anymore.
-
Does this also affect i751s that are already waiting at the field office and are ready for the interview? What do you all think?
-
I received a notification that “We have taken an action on your case”. Though, no progress or updates yet.

Thanks you and here you go. MSC. Apparently after the "Ready to schedule" status , it all depends on your local office backlog.
January 27, 2022 Interview Was ScheduledNovember 3, 2021 We are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, for an interview.February 19, 2021 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. My timeline is similar. Let's update one another since we both in Texas. Been looking for someone from Texas. My case is currently showing ready to be scheduled for interview..
Sure thing. Where are you in Texas? I'm in Houston. I hope that it's only a few days difference to @Beverlyr's changes like when it changed to "Case ready..."

Okay, thanks. That’s the missing piece. NBC to local office. That makes sense.
Yes my receipt number begins with MSC.
