    Interview Scheduled today

    Interview date: October 6, 2022

Good luck to all February filers! If you haven't received your interview notice it might be coming soon.

Congratulations! My husband interview is same day October 6th @ 11am. He also applied under the 3-year marriage rule (No I-751 pending). Do you know if the spouse needs to go to the interview as well? I didn't see anything on the interview letter about bringing the spouse. Here is his timeline:

    Applied online: June 29, 2022

    Biometrics: July 6, 2022

Interview letter received in the mail September 3 (no email received which was weird, but once logged online, letter was there under documents). Date of the letter August 29

    Interview date: October 6 @ 11am

    Field office: Miami, FL

Wow this is nuts!  We just filed N-400 in June 2022 and my wife apparently has an interview October 3rd in the Phoenix office. Super fast and what a surprise!  For anyone that also got the notice, did any of you get a booklet of interview questions to study or anything else other than the noa?  We heard we were supposed to get a packet mailed to us as well but didn’t receive anything..  Thank you!

My husband only received the interview appointment letter.
Is crazy how fast June cases are moving! We were expecting to have to wait at least 6 months for the interview appointment.

Btw, do I need to go with him to the interview? We filed under the 3 year marriage. The interview letter didn’t say anything about bringing the spouse.

  3. My husband just received his naturalization interview appointment. He didn’t get an email notification. We only found out after getting the letter in the mail. We then logged in into his USCIS online account and also saw the interview letter on his online case.  Here is his timeline:

    Applied online: June 29

    Biometrics: July 6

Interview letter received: September 3 (date of letter August 29)

    Interview date: October 6 @ 11am

    Field office: Miami, FL

    Applied under 3 year marriage

Can’t believe his case moved so fast!!!!

Wish I have known this. I did not know that spouses can walk in for biometrics. My husband is in the army reservist and I have a spouse id. Is his case change to actively reviewed after his biometrics?

Yeah totally hear you. This info about walk-ins for military and family is not well advertised. And yes, as soon as he got his biometrics done his profile updated to "USCIS is actively reviewing this case".

  5. Husband was able to walk-in today and get his biometrics instead of waiting for his scheduled appointment on 07/21. He showed his spouse military ID and they let him get the fingerprints with no issues. I am a US Air Force Reservist and I had heard on forums that military personnel don't need appointment for biometrics but was not sure if military spouses qualified. We decided to go today to the local Application Support Center located in North Miami and he showed his spouse military ID and it worked! Glad he was able to get his biometrics 2 weeks earlier than scheduled 🙂

    Timeline

    Online filing date: 06/29/2022

    NOA1: 06/29/2022

Biometrics (notice received 07/01 for 07/21): 07/06/2022 (got them done early as walk-in)

    Local field office: Miami, FL

If you have an upcoming international trip then I would suggest you to hold on your N-400. I too have an upcoming international trip planned for last July and before filing N-400 I didn’t give a second thought on clash of my trip with biometric appointment. Luckily my biometric appointment is before my travel date else I would have to either reschedule my appointment or cancel non-refundable air tickets. For sure it was a close call.

    When is you biometric appointment?

  7. Hello everyone!

My husband filed online.  Applied exactly 90 days before his 3 year green card status as he is married to me which I am a US citizen.
    N-400: June 29, 2022

    NOA1: June 29, 2022

    Bio appointment: July 21, 2022

So far the process is moving quick! Within 2 days after filing he received his bio-metrics appointment. Also, the "expected time to process" went from 19 months when he applied to 12 months when he received the bio appointment.

    Wishing everyone a speedy process!

The IRS did away with faxing due to privacy concerns, some new regulations. Even when they did fax, the transcripts didn't print totally clear and legible. You can make an appointment at an IRS office and they can print them for you or you can have them mailed to you if you decided to not do it electronically.

This happened recently? I got mine faxed to a fax in Brazil back in March with no problem.

I can send you privately what they sent me.. that was our problem also 2018 transcripts were not available when he sent for them the first time. Unfortunately my dad did try to get them downloaded on line. He has no credit cards or loans to provide an account number for them. He owns everything he has.   Even the  IMBRA Has to be uploaded. He just going to take what he has.. and explain what happened and God willing that will work if not he'll come back with transcripts. What else can he do

You are making it a big deal! Just have them fax it to you or your dad directly. If you are concern of “privacy info” just wait by the fax machine as the IRS fax it immediately when you call. Or else your dad might get an 221g by the embassy and will have to provide it anyways and will delay the process.

The attitude of saying “they will just get what he got” is the wrong way of going about it.

You can get transcript instantly to print online at https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Take both the 1040 and whatever transcript you can obtain (past three years if possible). Some of us who are still filing taxes on extension will not yet have a transcript for 2018 so we must take the 1040, W2, extension letter, etc to interview.

    Good luck at your interview!!!

The IRS can also fax the transcripts to you. For us we had problems getting it online and was faxed to us immediately (just need to call them and have a fax). They are also able to fax overseas, for us it was faxed to us in Brazil.

Please can anyone help me with the link to pay for green card?

Here is the link to pay for the immigrant visa fee (green card) after you receive your passport with your immigrant visa (instructions will be given once you pick up your passport/visa). This fee must be paid before you arrive in the US to avoid delays:

Do I get the Sealed Envelope with the passport to give to the officer when I get to the USA?

Depends of the embassy/consulate. For the consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil now everything is done electronically and there is no longer a sealed envelope. They only issue the immigrant visa.

This is is a new process that they are starting to role out and Brazil was one of the first one to implemented.
