Pedro&Dylan reacted to isis375 in Approved Spouse Visa. Zoom Marriage!
    Thank you!

I am in Louisiana, neither of us were present in Utah, nor together, nor with the officiant physically. The marriage certificate and the marriage itself is legally considered to have occured in Utah.

When they asked where he was married, he answered that it was online due to COVID and explained to the officer . I had been worried about answering this way, but he says the officer was just curious about it, not judgmental and did not have any follow up questions to the answer.

If you or anyone else has further questions, please ask! That's why I am sharing this, because I don't know of any of successes with online marriage yet!

    Pedro&Dylan reacted to Arroyo77 in K1 visa--Second Interview after Waiver I-601--
    Hello Guys,
So I was finally given the go for my second (hopefully last) interview at the Juarez Embassy after I was denied the first time a year ago under the fact that I overstayed after I turned 18. To make a long story short, I have received the letter from the Consulate asking me to update my DS-160, and gather all the papers needed for my interview. Technically, it is asking for the same process as the first time I went to Juarez. My question is, do I have to sign a new I-134 Affidavit of support? or is it enough with the form I gave them last year? The affidavit is still the same. I have the new tax forms but I am wondering if I also have to give a new signed form with it?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can either wait out the bar or waive it. The waiver is likely to take longer at this point.

Once the bar is waived, you can interview again and be issued the visa if you are still eligible.
    Good luck.

Pedro&Dylan reacted to N_O201774 in DACA- Anyone married to a US Citizen and gone through change of status?! My Story BELOW
    My Story:
I came here Legally at age 4/5 on a tourist visa with my parents. We just over stayed the time we were given to stay.
Fast forward to 2014, I graduated high school, started dating my now husband and went on DACA.
Fast forward to 2018, I've renewed DACA about twice now, graduated college and have a steady job. I got married to my husband last year in 2017.
A little info about my husband, he is a american citizen that is in the Army National Guard. Together we filed the I-130, I-485 and I-601 (recommended by someone, just in case)
We sent in the paperwork together in April of 2018 and we are wondering what the process is from here on out. How long it took for others and if this is a relative simple process?

Has anyone gone through something similar? What are some tips? We hope we filed the correct forms. Everyone's story is different and I respect that, I only want positive words and advice. Just trying to understand this process a little better.
    Thank you all.

I believe you can obtain the letter at the service window at the consulate.  Go the day prior or few days prior and try.

Many people i have seen never get the letter but they obtain at the service window.
