  1. Hi, My interview went smoothly and I got my case approved the same day. Yesterday I got my green card. You can get more details regarding my interview in my timeline. Good luck for your interview!
  2. It approved to be good news! This morning I checked the staus and it changed to be : "On September 10, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC, and will mail it to the address you gave us. " So yesterday, the officer approved my case right after the interview. Thank you!
  3. Hi, Just got aos interview done today with my wife(my wife: US sponsor me: applicant) and share the expericence. Welcome some ideas or comments to the interview and the next step predict. My wife did the interview first for 15 mints, then she stay in the office and I was asked to came in for interview for 25 mints, but my wife was asked to keep silient for the whole time. I gave my I-767 to the receptionist and she scanned barcode then asked us to wait for to be called. There are 4 interview sections at 4 corners of the waiting hall. Half hour later, an middle aged male officer called my name. He asked my wife to go with him and hand her cellphone over to me before that. We were a little surprised, as we expected my wife and I would to be interviewed together. My wife went with him and 15 mints later, he came to get me. I followed him to his office-my wife sitting at the right corner, being silent there. The man asked me to stand by the table and lift my right hand, swearing what I said in the interview are true. Then he asked why I got both Canadian and Chinese passport? I explained that I got Canadian citizenship during my waiting time for k1. Then he asked questions set forth below: 1.how did you know each other? 2.when and where was the first time you met? 3.where your wife lives? How many bedroom there is? How many windows are there in the bedroom? Is there closet? 4.what kind of bed you have? Which side you sleep? How many pillows you have? What’s the color of you pillow and the cover of the bed? 5.do you make the bed after you get up? 6.who cooks? What food do you usually cook? Are you good at cooking, what’s your favorite food? 7.have you even married and have your current wife married before? When did you marry your ex wife? Where is your ex wife? (the above questions were also asked my wife when she was herself being interviewed by the officer, and it proved our answer are 100% the same) 8.how many fiancé you have? (Like joke) 9.what’s your job? 10.Do you have property back in Canada? How many bedroom it has? Why you still keep the house in Canada? 11.Have you ever been declined entering US? The following questions are just standard Yes or No questions in 1-485. Then he asked me to leave right and left index finger print. At the very begining, the officer seems serious. But later the atmosphere became relaxed. When he learned I like noodle and pancake, he said his son also like them but he does not know how to cook, he wish he got chance to my home and try some food I cooked. At last he told me if he need further documents, I will receive a mail later, and if the card approved, I will get it in 1-2 weeks. Is it a STOKES INTERVEIW? are they suspect the truth of my marriage? I don't know why they asked some many questions. Fingers crossed for good news.
  4. Thank you so much for your quick response and the valuable answer! Thank you so much! I will do it ASAP.
  5. Hi, Hope everyone is good with AOS. I filed AOS on April 30,2019 and did biometrics on May 30,2019. My online case status changed to "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" on July 3,2019. Now I just found the status changed to "Interview was scheduled" : On August 6, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx. We will mail you an interview notice. However, AP and EA status still shows as "Case was recieved". My question is: 1. Does that means I will be able to do interview soon? 2. I have no joint bank or insurance account with my wife(petitioner), even no joint things, is it necessary for interview? Thank you so much!
  6. Hi, Is US citizen sponsor's birth certificate and passport copy required for i-864 in K1 visa holder AOS? I am confused. On USCIS website, i-864 checklist for some sponsor: For U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals, a copy of your birth certificate, passport, or certificate of naturalization or citizenship. This is just for CR1 or also for k1 visa holder's AOS? I appriciate for any help. Thank you!!
  7. I just learned this: "As of September 10, 2018 a fingerprint-based, certified criminal record check REQUESTED UNDER THE CANADIAN PRIVACY ACT from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is required by U.S. Consular posts in Canada" from US visa website. I only did a regular name checked criminal record check from local police station. My Montreal interview in on Feb 13,2019. Is there anyone who got k1 visa approved with a reguar name checked criminal record check? Or anyone's application was delayed due to no finger print based criminal record check? and what happened next? Where to get the finger print based criminal record check done in Toronto? How long it takes? Thank you for any sharing or opinion!!
  8. I did medical exam yesterday and the doctor told me he doesn't need confirmation of vaccination and the stamped vaccination checklist is good enough. I am not sure whether I have antibody or not. Today I called my family doctor regarding confirmation of antibody and he gave me a form to do blood test in lab and after that he can provide confirmation of antibody(also, he mentioned only MMR and Chicken pox has antibody confirmation, and no for flu shot or tdap). I am not sure whether I can use my family doctor's antibody confirmation for my future AOS is US? Any one can give me any advice? Thank you!
  9. I have done some vaccine(may not those listed on the vaccine checlist ) when I was child and I have no record.
  10. I did Tetanus-Diptheria, MMR, Varicella, and flu shot vaccine, but the problem is i have no time to do titer test to confirm I got antibody before medical exam. I may do titer test when doing medical exam. However, if the result is no anti body at time, medical exam clinic will not put "complete" on DS 3025 vaccination. In this situation, I can still get K1 and go to US. But before I file AOS, i need to do vaccination in US civil surgon and fill I-693, which will cost much more money than doing in Canada..
  11. Many sincere thanks to all of you who have responded underneath my post!!
  12. Hi, I'm confused by vaccination. My K1 interview date in Consulate Montreal booked as Feb 13,2019. My medical exam date booked as Jan 17, 2019. As medical exam require Vaccination, so today I went to a local clinic and did Tetanus-Diptheria, MMR, Varicella, and flu shot vaccine. Vaccine Checklist was filled and signed by doctor and Immunication record is dated and stamped. Clinic told me everyting should be fine. However after I was back home, clinic called me and said: For MMR, you may need go to your family doctor and confirm you are immune to MMR, if not, you need come and do second MMR dose. My question is do i really need to go to my family doctor for MMR immunation confirmation for K1 visa? Is it possible to do it after I arrive US? I heard 2nd MMR can be done when doing AOS. Thank you for any advice or experience sharing!
