Oh no!  Can he call to find out more information? I haven't seen anyone else mention that on here as yet. I've been worried with cases going up again that they would do something like that. I really hope that's not the case, hope it gets sorted for you. 

I might have missed this mentioned earlier in the thread, but do we still need to bring the ds 5540 form to the interview? 

Also how many pp size photos do we truly need? Is it just the 4 for the medical or do we need to bring an additional 4 to the interview as well?

I'm trying not to go crazy with worry, but everyday I feel more and more hopeless. Sorry for my little rant here, I just needed to get this off my chest

Thanks Stacey Ann, I was able to do it this morning. Have they changed from DHL for their couriers? The kingston location I noticed said Ardenne Road.

I got my interview date as well for first week in September! Finally I can see the finish line approaching!

But I traveled with my child to and from Jamaica in June. It was an easy no hassle process due to the airlines allowing me to board the plane first and gave me the option to sit away from other people if there was room on the flight. I had a good experience I just made sure I had Clorox wipes in my carry on Luggage to make sure I could wipe down everything. As long as you social distance yourself at the airport you should be fine. The flight attendants didn’t mind that my 3yr old didn’t wear a mask but it was required for everyone else to wear a mask the entire plane ride.

My husband's birthday is at the end of August and our first anniversary is the beginning of September, I was hoping so much to be there for that but I've resigned myself to the reality that won't be happening. How did I miss the fact there's a whole Jamaican thread here?! Hi everyone! We got DQ'd on May 30 and are still waiting on the interview date. I sent an email to the embassy to query where we were in line and they said to check with NVC 🤷‍♀️, so I sent one and am waiting on a reply. I feel as though we should be getting a call soon, but that kinda freaked me out when they said your case is being processed at NVC. Hoping to hear good news. 

The Spousal visa process is so long, I wouldn't suggest waiting until his contract is finished to start the process, unless it's a contract that has a couple years left on it.

They approved the visa in 7 days on July 14th. The released it to the DHL carrier on July 16th. An it was delivered on the 20th. My stepson will arrive this coming Friday.

What do you do after you get the interview letter? Do you have to go on a website to register for it and the medical? I haven't really heard much about the process beyond DQ.

It was accurate, took 2 days before it showed as paid. 

Hi we got DQ'd today, however they made a note beside my Trinidad police certificate saying it will expire within 6 months and I should consider replacing it as it may cause delays at the interview. However I haven't lived in trinidad in 7 years and I got the certificate in September, have not returned to the country since that time it was issued. Should i send a message to NVC? Will it be okay at the interview? Should I try to get a new one? (seems a bit impossible with everything that's going on right now, it was hard in the first place getting the original one, while being in Jamaica).

i'm currently filling out the ds 260 for cr1. In the section for additional work/training/edication info they ask if you've traveled to other countries. Is this just meant to be for work related travel or should I put countries I may uave visited for tourism? Thanks.

MFS should be okay, i think that's your choice if you want to file separately or jointly. The issue is when you're married and file single, which unfortunately, it seems that because a lot of accountants don't have much experience with immigration, they advise people to do.
