Has anyone heard of cancellation of interviews?? My spouses interview is scheduled for 26AUG and he just got an email stating his interview has been cancelled. With no reason attached💆🏾‍♀️

Oh no!  Can he call to find out more information? I haven't seen anyone else mention that on here as yet. I've been worried with cases going up again that they would do something like that. I really hope that's not the case, hope it gets sorted for you.

Good morning, if you were not able to register your interview yesterday you should now be able to do so as well as register for courier pickup. Both actions are done through the same portal here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv/.

Have a great day and even better weekend!

Thanks Stacey Ann, I was able to do it this morning. Have they changed from DHL for their couriers? The kingston location I noticed said Ardenne Road.

  3. It's a thread in the CR1/IR1 forum called:

    • Interview timeline after Documentarily Qualified (DQ)

Not sure why it hasn't been moved to the Regional group.

  4. I got my interview date as well for first week in September! Finally I can see the finish line approaching!

Honestly if you don’t feel comfortable traveling then don’t.

But I traveled with my child to and from Jamaica in June. It was an easy no hassle process due to the airlines allowing me to board the plane first and gave me the option to sit away from other people if there was room on the flight. I had a good experience I just made sure I had Clorox wipes in my carry on Luggage to make sure I could wipe down everything. As long as you social distance yourself at the airport you should be fine. The flight attendants didn’t mind that my 3yr old didn’t wear a mask but it was required for everyone else to wear a mask the entire plane ride.

    Which airline did you use?

  5. Fingers crossed! I'll update here as soon as I hear anything. I didn't go through all 45 pages of this thread but from what i have read it's funny how a lot of us have similar stories. My husband's birthday is at the end of August and our first anniversary is the beginning of September, I was hoping so much to be there for that but I've resigned myself to the reality that won't be happening. Praying we'll all be with our loved ones soon!

  6. How did I miss the fact there's a whole Jamaican thread here?! Hi everyone! We got DQ'd on May 30 and are still waiting on the interview date. I sent an email to the embassy to query where we were in line and they said to check with NVC 🤷‍♀️, so I sent one and am waiting on a reply. I feel as though we should be getting a call soon, but that kinda freaked me out when they said your case is being processed at NVC. Hoping to hear good news.

I definitely keep you guys updated

What do you do after you get the interview letter? Do you have to go on a website to register for it and the medical? I haven't really heard much about the process beyond DQ.

I'll update as well once I get news.

    anybody else got theirs?

Congratulations! What was your DQ date? Is this a rescheduled interview or a new one? I got DQ'd May 30 and I'm waiting right now for the interview letter.

    Hey everyone,

Can you tell me from your own experience how long after paying AOS and IV fees does it take for the status to go from In Process to Paid?

I know that the website says wait 2-3 business days. Has that timeframe been accurate for any of you?

Just wondering because I processed the payment on May 27th, and the funds were withdrawn from my account on May 28th. I’m curious, and lowkey worried that the adjustment could take weeks like I have seen some people experience as mentioned on some other VJ threads.

It was accurate, took 2 days before it showed as paid.

  10. Hi we got DQ'd today, however they made a note beside my Trinidad police certificate saying it will expire within 6 months and I should consider replacing it as it may cause delays at the interview. However I haven't lived in trinidad in 7 years and I got the certificate in September, have not returned to the country since that time it was issued. Should i send a message to NVC? Will it be okay at the interview? Should I try to get a new one? (seems a bit impossible with everything that's going on right now, it was hard in the first place getting the original one, while being in Jamaica).

Would you guys say this is adequate:

    Dear Officer:

Currently, due to COVID-19, I will be unable to produce a police certificate. However, I do plan on obtaining it before the interview at the Montreal Consulate.

    Thank you,

    NAME

Or should I include more details about how I contacted the RCMP and they said no fingerprints currently?

My husband filed married but separately. Would that be okay?

MFS should be okay, i think that's your choice if you want to file separately or jointly. The issue is when you're married and file single, which unfortunately, it seems that because a lot of accountants don't have much experience with immigration, they advise people to do.
