How did your case got dismissed? did you ever plead guilty or had a deferral prosecution or any special agreement? Did the USCIS officer asked you any questions regarding your dismissed case? I am asking because I am in a similar situation just trying to get your experience.
No Plea was entered. It was special agreement I guess you can call it that. I Paid a fine and did community hours and then the case was dismissed. The officer did ask me about what happened and I was truthfully telling him the story. and after I was done I asked him specifically about it if it was gonna be a problem and he said no since it was dismissed

Why did you get denied?
Was it because you applied under the 3 year rule after you got a divorce?
The first time I got denied for that reason. Then I applied under the 5 year rule and got denied cause I had a criminal case back in 2017 which was dismissed by court but still got denied for it that's why I'm appealing it.

Thank you MohU3, I appreciate the help.
Can you tell me what ombudsman is?
It's the office of the individual who works for the DHS but not the USCIS. Sometimes when you have a problem with the USCIS such as being pending for a long time, he helps to get things moving. Not always working but it's worth a shot. I'm attaching the link for you, go in read about it and submit a request. It's free and won't hurt and might help.

Hey everyone,
I am currently still waiting for my removal on conditions. It has been near 800 days since I applied. I have submitted multiple service requests, and nothing has happened.
I called again today after waiting 40 days since lase service request submitted.
they said call back tomorrow morning and ask to speak to a level 2 agent.
Does anyone have any advice for me? I'm very worried and frustrated...
Thank you,
Rachel
I would do a case assistance request with the ombudsman. Don't waste your time with the service requests or even calling them. They will keep giving you the same BS.

hello everyone,
my N-400 interview was cancelled due to pending I-751 case on January 16th 2020, but now my case I-751 is approved on 02/28/2020 and i also received my 10 years Green card but my N-400 interview is still hanging there, i don't know what should i do? should i do call them if yes so which number? or should i wait more,
any suggestion will be greatly appreciated
Thank you
I had the same situation. The same day my 751 was approved they also scheduled me for the N400 interview. They don't need to put you back in line they squeeze you in I think

March 16th is the next Oath ceremony. Hopefully you'll be in it

Unfortunately, my foreign passport has expired and there is no way for me to get a new one. So I am not able to get a stamp.
Is the stamp usually valid for 1 year? So when people apply for a Real ID with a stamp, it's also valid for only 1 year?
Do you know whether the DL would expire with extension letter even though my legal status doesn't end with the letter?
I honestly Idk about CA. I know in PA it will expire with the extension letter. About the passport expiring, you still can get the stamp outside the passport on a form they will provide which will have your photo and the stamp

I understand that when getting a DL, your expiration sometimes is the same as your green card/ EAD/ visa.
So I have the impression that, when I go renewing my DL, they would ask for proof of my legal status - which will be expired GC+ extension letter.
My extension letter is expiring in 6 months...... (OCT.)
My passport is also expired and I cannot get a new one.
And I am also moving twice (2 different states) this year for work reasons.
My DL is my only form of ID right now until my I-751 goes through, and my GC comes (hopefully.)
Which means I need to get my DL renewed to Real ID before OCT, which is the same month my extension letter expires on......
Question:
1) When on a 18-mo extension, does the DL you get also expires on the same date?
2) Would expired GC+ extension letter be enough for proof of legal status?
3) Or when I renew in the same state (CA,) I won't have to prove residence again?
4) Or should I apply as a new resident in WA?
5) Any suggestions on what the best way is to go about this?
Thank you!
😥🙏🏼
1) Yes. They expire the same date as your legal status
2) Expired GC + Extension letter are proof of legal status as long as they are valid. Once the extension expire you're out of proof not out of legal status
3)Some states like mine (Pennsylvania), you have to prove your legal status every time you renew your DL. Idk about CA to be honest
5) My suggestion is to call the 800 number and schedule an info pass to get the stamp within 30 days of your extension letter expiration. With that stamp you have a proof of status and you can renew your DL

howlong it would take to get interview letter after biomatric.
depends on if you applying under 3 years rule or 5 years and depends on your case. Philadelphia office processing times states that it's between 7.5 to 12.5 months the whole case from the application to the oath

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is good. I don't know if there's anyone in here without an interview at least scheduled or not. Today I got my notification about my interview being scheduled. I don't know the date yet, but once uploaded I will let you guys know

Okay - thanks! We're hoping so after reading cases of people getting their N400 adjudicated but then waiting months for their 751 to finish up Thank you!
unfortunately that's true. It's one of the USCIS's BS just to give you more hard times. Good luck. I wish you all the best

Hi all~
For anyone that had a I-751 and N-400 combo interview...did your N-400 appointment notice specifically state to expect one?
In our case we have the I-751 pending since October 2018. Since sending the N-400 application, we got a notice that the I-751 was transferred to the NBC. Interview for the N-400 is scheduled for February 18th.
In live chatting on the USCIS website, I've had one officer tell me to definitely not expect a combo interview unless the N-400 appointment notice specifically states it will be a combo interview, and another person tell me it "likely" will be a combo interview.
Either way we will prepare as if it will be a combo interview just to be on the safe side, but I wanted to see if anyone could share their experience with me...specifically regarding what their N-400 appointment notice said if they ended up having an interview.
Thank you all in advance!
If the 751 was transferred to NBC, pretty much you WILL have a combo interview

Hi
We have a pending ROC for over a year and our citizenship interview is in two weeks. We've not heard anything more about the ROC interview, so does that mean it will not happen on the same day? Or have any of you arrived for the citizenship interview and been allowed to request the ROC also? If anyone had both pending and finished the citizenship intereview what happened? Were you notified you'd do both?
Thanks
By law you can't naturalize without the 751 approval. If you get a notification about the 751 being transferred to another office so my guess is that you will have a combo interview. If you didn't one of 2 things will happen. Either you'll proceed with the N400 and decision won't be made based on the pending ROC or the other thing that I saw they do sometimes and happened to me personally is that they will cancel the interview for N400 last minute and send you a letter stating that due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel the interview. I wish you all the best and good luck

The requirements for the 3 year rule is being LPR for 3 years and being married to USC for 3 years not just being married for 3 years. There's residency requirement for the state that you're filling in. I honestly don't know about the school situation how would they consider it
-
As a citizen, there's no limit of staying outside the US Vs. GC holder you can't stay outside the US for more than 6 months unless you have a re-entry permit. US citizens have guaranteed admission at the borders. That's one advantage.

File I-90 and make it as USPS lost the mail. That suppose will waive the fee
N336 still Pending
