  1. Hello everyone,

    Congratulations to all approvals.

I got my interview yesterday. Everything went ok. Total probably 20 mins in and out. Everything was smooth just yes no questions. Officer said everything was looking good from his side. Checked my approved I 360. Asked my birth certificate and medical check form. Asked how many times I was married. What year I got here in US, got excited and said 2016 instead of 2015. That was it.

    now my receipt number says

“Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed”

is this normal? Is this a good sign? How long will it take to get the gc?

thanks in advance. Congratulations again to new approvals..💃

  2. @Stillwinning!!!😊

    @FeDaniela

I hate people who don’t do their job the right way.

My attorney called me through the paralegal. She was saying that we already apply for adjustment of status. Because I already gave fingerprints and everything. They said there is nothing to do right now beside waiting.

They called me and made angry and then  they called me again to say there is nothing to do. How annoying is that?

    thanks again

Yes after an approved I-360 you move forward to adjust status by filling form I-485  in order for you to obtain your Green Card.

Filing Form I-485 costs $1,140 plus $85.00 for biometrics services fee total cost of $1,225.00 if your lawyer only charging you $225.00 to do so is very reasonable i will said cheap. You lawyer can also request a fee waiver for this form by also filling I-912 form with all the requirements.  And you can just paid your lawyers fee if USCIS accept it.

Thanks for the answer Fedaniela. God bless you. Thanks

Thanks my friend..see this right here so its ok👌...

Adjustment of Status Cost. As of 2019, the cost of an adjustment of status is a minimum of $1,225 in government fees alone. This includes the initial $1,140 filing cost of the I-485 application and the $85 biometrics fee, both of which are paid for with a single check or money order when filing the application.

    Thanks Stillwinning. God bless you.

Congrats again to everybody. I have seen some good amount of approvals. God bless you all🙏

  4. Hello everyone. I am a silent reader of the platform. Thanks everyone for all the help. My question is that my vawa got approved on July right. I got a call today from my attorney saying that we need file an adjustment of status for me which will cost $1450. I already paid $7000 something. Is this how it is supposed to be? Or Am I being taking advantage of? What are steps after getting approved? Thanks in advance.

    Congratulations all the approvals 🎉🎉

Congrats.🎉🍾🎊🎈 Your new life is about to start👍

My timeline is pretty similar with yours. I hope I will hear the good news soon.🙏

Lol😀..well an estimated time should be any where from 8-12 months...but I've seen folks here get an interview in less time.. Just hope and pray..you never know what tomorrow holds..🙏

Well. There is nothing but waiting. Thank you. 🙏

Oh cool..I'm March 2017..took forever..so your next steps...transfer of i485 to local office...then probably courtesy letter..before the actual invitation!😀 success all the way!🙌🙏

How long do you think it is going to take to get my GC from now if everything goes well?

Thanks for your kind words. I pray for everybody.

If the notification is under your I-765 is your EAD category C09 the one you get with your pending I-485. The EAD you have on hand is category C31 Base on your VAWA approval.

    Just now, Stillwinning!!!😊 said:

I read it clear..it's the reason I said to wait to receive..in order to know for sure! This is not the usual pattern..although there's someone here who received EAD twice..a C31 based on i360 approval, and a C14 i guess from deferred action grant...as he explained! Not everyone gets that...so let's wait for other contributions or better still for you to know soon as you get it!

Now I understand. Thanks for making it clear.👍 It has been a long time wait for me. I feel like it is almost the end. Good luck everyone. I hope everybody gets an approval.

  8. 3 minutes ago, Stillwinning!!!😊 said:

You'll have to actually receive it and let us know..as clearly there are no USCIS staffs amongst us😊 so be patient, you'll find out! And then..you'll tell us!

No. The reason I am asking this question. I already got work authorization back in end of May. This is another update on my case under I-765. It says new card is being produced. What card is this? Thanks

  9. Ths is my timeline for each case. I tried to make it clear as much as I can. So my question is I got my work authorization may 28, 2019. But under  I-765 the last update  says “new card is being produced” what is that supposed to mean?

  10. Hello people. I want to congrats all of you guys who got approved 🎉🎉

It really makes me happy everyday when i see new approvals.

i work almost everyday 10-11 hours long. i usually don t have time to even rest. But i am a silent reader. I read most of them.

I got another update on my case today under I-765 is saying that " New card is being produced "

And it says they will mail it to me.

But i got my work authorization under c31 category on May 30,  2019 from i-360 .

It kind of confuses me what kind of card is this? I would be greatly appreciated for any input.

I really want to thank all of you guys for the support you give people.

Thank you for all your wishes. There is non intentionally smile on my face all the time. I want you all to feel the same way soon. God is great.

I have one question. Since I started the vawa process I didn’t get even a single mail through my mail box. All the documents go to my attorney. Is this a normal situation? Should I dig into why I don’t get mail or vawa process only through the attorney? Will I get any type courtesy letter to my mail or not?

Thanks for your answers in advance. God bless you all.

  13. Hello beautiful people. I want to congrats all of you guys who got approved 🎉🎉

I just received today my work authorization under c31 with my fingerprint on it.🎊🎊

It will expire in one year. I waited for a long time. I got a denial once for not supplying my background from my home country and here in USA.  I am April 2017 filer. I will put my timeline below. Can anybody tell me what’s going to happen next in my case? I believe my other work authorization was under c9. What does the c31 means? Does that show vawa will get approve or not?

I really want to thank all of you guys for the support you give people.

There is no fee to renew your work permit, your attorney is a thief!!! run.

Your attorney screwed your VAWA because he didn't ask you to get  the police clearance from your Country. USCIS just issues a  request of evidence if the person missed to submit some document,  and clearly you can see that he is  imcompetent as well.

You can renew  the work permit without his "help".  Fill out  form I-765 and send me to review and I will let you know if everything is fine. He probably filed a motion, and a  motion takes around 5/6 months to be adjudicated.

    Hi sandranj.

thanks everybody and Sandra for answers. I will fill out the form. How can I send the form to you?

By the way, I made an appointment for consultation tomorrow. I don’t know if I am allowed to give attorney’s name. But I will go to Nunez law firm in phoenix. I will fire my attorney. He gives nothing but trouble. I have waiting over 2 years and still pending.

    It is so frustrating.

I always check the USCIS website if there is any update, it is always same. It still shows that my case denied result. Is this normal?

i also called other attorneys which you guys shown above. they either don’t want to take half case or one of them was saying that probably my attorney is good but vawa cases hard. So I will see tomorrow. Thanks again everybody. I will keep you guys updated. God bless.

I am guessing that you have a pending I-485 and therefore got your work permit under category C9. If that’s correct then the renewal will be free (no fees) if it is in the same category (C9) and I don’t think you should spend so much money on an attorney that is not on top of his game with your case. Fire the attorney, file for work permit renewal yourself and save that money for the things that you need after being in an abusive relationship. I’d look up pro bono lawyers in your area. Best of luck to you!

Thank you very much. I was in a abusive relationship. But now financially abusive attorney. Any help would be greatly appriciate it. I will pray for you and everybody going through this.

  16. Hi everyone, I am newbie here. I have been going through vawa route.  I didn’t even know this kind of forum was exist.

I filed in December 2016. My attorney filed first step for vawa.( I dont know the form names I have to look it up later). Basically the form we submit was that the immigration was going to ask the evidences.  They asked the evidences. He submitted them all. Then my case was denied because of missing some proof. Proof they were asking was my “criminal history” from my country. Then I got them all from my country. Then he submitted again my criminal history from my country.( I think it is called appealing or reconsideration) on end of December 2018.

My work authorization will be ending 15th of February. He submitted my work authorization last year. And it came 2018 February. The fees were waived I explained my situation to the attorney.

So far I paid total 6000$ and plus appealing was 675$.

But this year to renew my employment he wants to charge 2000$ and 1022$ for filing fee.

so I have 3 questions if you can help me, I would be really appriciate it.

1-)  should I pay 3000$ for work authorization?

2-) How long does it take the appealing process?

3-) Does firing this attorney and finding another make any difference,  if so who? I am in Arizona.

I am really hopeless right now. Please share your opinions. Thanks in advance.
