Could you drive with your cats over the US border, and then fly to your final destination?
 
Like the others, I doubt very much you will have an issue with your visa, but driving over might be a way to come before the 30 days is up.
 
Edit:  maybe airlines have the same rabies requirements for cats on domestic flights?  I have never flown with a pet.

All the bars have had an exemption for spouses and children of US citizens. 
 
PS when we immigrated we also found the airlines had stricter requirements than US immigration for pets!

Not really an option for me to drive from here to whichever boarder is opened then take a domestic flight to Chicago. Would be a lot easier with the luggage and the cats though. I was honestly worried about the boarders closing for a period of time and not allowing anyone in or out of the u.s. I seem to have figured it out though, thanks for taking the time to read and share your input!

My vote would be to wait for the cats to be able to travel with me. 

My I-130 petition took approximately 10 months to get approved by USCIS. You have been waiting quiet a while now though, I’d say not to get too alarmed. Everything is taking forever these days. But if it were me I’d definitely call USCIS and ask them why it’s taking so long. What if it’s already been approved? There’s a very big chance of that. Goodluck! :)

USA citizen filing for minor. My stepdad is the citizen and I’m the minor he’s petitioning. A USA resident petitioning a minor does indeed take longer. 

@stayreals I suggest that you email James Mccament and Donald Neufeld personally. My case has already been sent to the NVC as of today. Now I’m waiting for the fee bills to get here to pay them and then we’re sending out packet three. I don’t know if me emailing them had anything to do with my case moving forward but it seemed to help. I do hope that this helps you as well! Please do let me know when your case has been sent to the NVC. If it hasn’t been sent in the next couple of days or weeks let me know and I will try to help you with whatever I find around the web that’s useful these days. Case complete 02/27 and interview is scheduled for April 25

I’m awaiting interview (already scheduled)and had to rely on CR1/IR1 forum on questions I had and it was an independent petition but thankfully all has gone well so far even done with medicals 

my case has been transfer to NVC by today thank you 

we are in the same boat,my case was approved in July 13th 2018 ,exactly same...Potomac . I did the samething but congressman.
I emailed to NVC they dont have andy record too,so i call uscis today and talked to Tier2 officer,she said they are still working on it ensure everyinfo is correctly,when i ask when will it be done
she told me call after 30days. sooo sad :(
