You patiently waited this long, one week will easily pass. Focus on doing everything right for the interview.

Congratulations. I am happy for you guys. My wife interview is in 3 weeks, I did everything on my own no lawyers anything too and still made it to the interview dates. Wish me luck. And best of luck to you and your husband from here on out!

After nearly one year, without lawyer or much help of my husband, as he was mostly deployed during the last year.

Our case was complete at the NVC 12/28 and we received an interview appointment on 1/9. My husband's interview is 2/25. I know I should be excited because this what we have been waiting an entire year for but I'm only super anxious.
We've been through this process before and the embassy refused to issue a visa at the interview. (For those who are wondering, there were no red flags, no legal issues with the marriage, neither of us have been previously married, no criminal record and he answered all the questions correctly. We had tons of evidence of our relationship. We even lived together for 6 months right after we got married in his home country!) After all of 5 minutes of talking to him they simply refused to issue the visa. They never gave us any reason and they never notified us of our case being sent back to USCIS as they said they would. On the advice of an attorney, we simply refiled our petition and like last time, we have been approved at every step of the way. Now it's just this awful, anxiety inducing interview standing between us being able to be together. I wish our embassy allowed spouses to be there. I'd feel slightly better if I could just be there... We've been married for almost 3 years and I visit as regularly as time and money allows which is about twice a year. So, here's to hoping that having an attorney, lots of patience and perseverance, even more pictures and receipts of our time together pays off and the interviewer does the RIGHT thing and issues my husband his visa. I hope everyone else gets to be reunited w/ their families soon as well! All the best!

Ours was recieved by NVC on 10 oct, but still we have not got the case number.

I NEED to let you know that NVC sent me a email with my case number and Invoice number yesterday!
So that means I can now start to pay the Affidavit of support fee $120.00USD and IV Application Processing Fee $325.00USD.
 
After these fees Are paid ,it will allow us to submit the forms and all required documentation.  when everything is completed, theyll review the case and schedule Interview!!!
 
I am very happy to share this information with you because I want you all to know that there is a light at the end of the Tunnel and we just need to be very patient, all of us will eventually get there and finally complete this difficult and sometimes depressing process. Please feel free to ask me everything and to reply to this post. Im not too far on this process, I havent pay any of the fees yet but I wanted to give You guys a little preview of what you will expect.

Hi, I see u r from Nepal. We r too. We also got approved on sept 17. Lets keep in touch for the NVC process. Some say that it tales two months to get the welcome letter from NVC. 🙄

The on-line form asked if there was any education at the high-school level or beyond. Initially, I marked "yes" and looked at the form which asked for all education from high-school and beyond. Then I marked "no" so I could continue to browse the form. Then It asked about occupational experience so, initially I marked "yes" and it asked for all work experience. Then I changed to "no" so I could continue. When I came back and changed each answer to "yes" the questions had changed for both education and occupations.
 
In the end, for education, I listed only my wife's college degree and the university. For occupations, I listed one, and the last job she had in that occupation. Then I added a second occupation along with the last job she held in that occupation. That was all I had to provide.
 
The on-line system accepted the form SB-260 that way and the local consular office (Taipei) also accepted it that way.
 
My wife has her IR-1 Visa in hand!

Completely off-topic, but 5-10 HOURS..EACH DAY!? How on earth did either of you manage to have a life...or sleep?

Got approved on sept 17. Do we wait for the nvc welcome mail or call them? How long should we wait before calling them. Our lawyer told us to wait until nov 15!!

That's great! So there truly is no rhyme or reason so how they're processing these because they don't really seem to be going strictly in the order they received.  I wonder if they just sift through the piles and do "easy" ones first lol. 

Wow congratulations! This gives me much hope. I'm a May filer but if Texas has already done at least a few April petitions that means it shouldn't be much longer before I hear about mine inshallah
