I stated at the bottom of the timelines, why I was posting it. I am showing someone elses timeline for LIN, not mine. (although I too have my file at LIN). They applied in October 2018. Waited until July for a biometrics. I wanted to show that, yes, you are correct in stating that there is a huge wait for LIN. Someone told me I was rude for telling them that I was NOT "incorrect" in stating that the wait is long for those whose files are at LIN. HE is NOT filed with LIN but got very upset with me for stating that LIN is not what he said;  a 3 month wait. Actually he reported me for being "rude" even though he argued repeatedly, consistently telling me I was "incorrect" and should "admit it" when I was sharing what others WHO ARE WITH LIN told me about their long wait. I guess for us at LIN, "patience is a virtue".

Sorry, I thought it was your case that got approved. I hope we hear some good news before christmas. Fingers crossed.

This is the timeline for someone who filed and their file is with Nebraska. Someone reported me for being "rude" because they told folks that the timeline for LIN was about 3 months. (their file is NOT at LIN) They told me I was "incorrect" when  I was telling someone whose file is at LIN that it takes from 6 to 8 months, it seems to hear anything. I guess some would say the person is a 'know it all'. I am with LIN so I watch the timelines of those filed there and who have timelines. Guess we just have to be patient!

I think you are lucky to get the approval so soon. Currently, Oct and Nov Lin filers are getting approved.

Yeah it was a "soft" credit check, came up as USCIS IMMIGRATION with a Washington DC address. I didn't save my report, which I definitely should have now that I think of it. I'll have to see if I can view it again.

I think this is part of the new 'public charge' rule.

We still thinking about it. It's hot or miss might delay us more.. but again we are thinking we will have interview anyway for 751 so just do the n400 and keep waiting for one interview and hopefully that will finish the journey.. still thinking...

I think Jan LIN filers should come to know about the status of I-751 in 2-3 months based on the current trend.

As long as you return before the card's expiration date, you should be fine w/o the letter. The letter only extends the validity of the green card.

The risk is if something happens and you have to stay out of the country longer. Although somebody could send you the letter, or worst case you could get a boarding foil abroad.

Edit: Also, you need to return to the US for the biometrics appointment.

Can I call the uscis customer care and ask them to send me another receipt notice ? Also , what if I get the notice about the biometrics appointment while I'm out of the country ?

Yessss! It does!! Nothing has been sent. My DL is expiring on the first day of March and I don't know what I would do without any letter of extension to renew my DL

btw I did the e-request a few day ago

I've been eagerly waiting since few weeks and no update so far other than 'case received'. I'm thinking about getting an Infopass appointment and get the I-551 stamped on my passport.  Can you get your passport stamped with I-551?

    Hello,

I filed my I-751 back in late Dec and USCIS received my case on January 9. However, since then I haven't heard anything from them including receipt notice or whatever related to the case. Should I be worried now or should I send an email and ask them?

Does your case number start with LIN******** ? I'm in the same boat as you.
