We sent ours that week as well. Sent on the 8 received at 10:30 PM on the 10, money order not cashed. 😢😩😢

That absolutely stinks.   I wonder if personal checks are easier for them to process.  Seems like I've seen a few people using credit cards get held up.  Credit cards or money order should actually be faster than a personal check.   But they cashed my check within a week.   Now waiting for mailed version of the NOA1, and the biometrics appt.   Of course, both are going to our Florida address, and we won't be there until Aug 6.   Hoping to have SS and USCIS mail waiting for us when we get there.

  2. Translation rule (copied from I-129f where I remembered seeing it) is pretty simple and straightforward.   Not sure why they seem to focus in on rejecting it, when it seems people were able to comply with this fairly simple requirement.  Not like it needs an attorney or even a notary.   Seems about anyone with some competency can qualify under this rule.

Dang, I should've made copies of that G-1145 and put it on all 3! Thanks Daniel.

Gonna send it in Today when the US Post Office opens. With the fastest method available.

As Lana&Ivy noted, apparently only one G-1145 is necessary to get confirmation on all three applications.   I did not realize this at the time I submitted, so included for all.   Guess either way is fine.   (I may still send in separate copies as different reps may process them differently)

Yep, those are the sites.  I added my receipt numbers manually on the new site by doing the following:  Go top right of "your cases" page after the 2 step verification > My Account > Add a paper-filed case.

I put only one copy of the G-1145 at the top of my package and still got a text for each of the applications.  Actually I got some repeats.  5 texts total.

Absolutely excellent information Lana&Ivy.   Got those added manually.   Nice to see current status for all at once.   And I wondered about whether they would send individual responses if you had only sent in one G-1145.   I'm sure people will appreciate your comments on that as well.

    Many thanks again!

My current I-485 status on new and old site is "Fingerprint fee received" (or something almong those lines)

Thanks for reminder on the status site.  We sent in separate G-1145 for each of the three applications.   We got three separate confirmation numbers in the email.  Checked the "old site". and for the 485, we got the "Fingerprint fee was received", for the 131 and 765, the system shows "Case was received".   When I log onto the "new site" , I still show only our i-129F case, and there is no place to enter our new case numbers.

I notice that you mention you show status on the new and old site.   Can you tell me if these are what you're referring to?

I sent my AOS on July 3rd to USCIS, Attn: FBAS, 131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor, Chicago, IL 60603-5517, and it was signed by a J. Harper on July 8th. I have yet to receive any notifcation or see my funds taken out of my bank account. What gives? I'm losing my mind seeing others sending it later than me and getting a response.

Guessing you sent by UPS as I think the USPS goes to a PO Box.   Also guessing you included the G-1145 for text/email notification, and sent a personal check.   If so, then we did everything the same.........with the exception that we sent by USPS.   So our result was different.........we got emails, texts, and they cashed the check.   May be appropriate to try to contact someone there for a status update.  Seems strange you would not have rec'd anything yet, but I'm not sure about timing for problems with the application.

We just got the fingerprints appointment today. Sent package on July 5.

Went to DMV and some woman refuses to let my wife get their temporary driver licence, she asked for an additional paper that is really not needed. I called the main office in Tallahassee and they told me to try with a more friendly office (same as our lawyer). Do not go to Miami Gardens office, people are rude if you are not Haitian.

We have great people in Flagler.  Hoping for no problems.   What did the ask for?

Why offices? I though you get the notification from the Chicago lockbox that they received the case? Or will I get the notification from my field office here in Raleigh, NC?

Just worried that something is wrong since everyone else gets notifications :(

Based on our timing, I would think the notifications come out of Chicago.    Our app arrived in Chicago late Monday, and we got the text message Thursday.  And actually, we got three text messages since I put a  G-1145 with each of the 485, 131 and 765 documents.   I was hoping to get confirmations when each got to their ultimate destination, but got them all together which is why I think Chicago is sending the texts.

I got the NOA1 hard copies for the different applications, now it says that my wife biometrics letter comes in the mail. Hmmm any turn around time for that and also does the online tracker  will not show me for the information for that?

    Looks like 28 days.

I did receive my copy of my DS3025 but it's blank because the doctor back in Argentina didn't give me the shot I needed because it was not available so she said that I can get that done here. So even though I have all my records from previous shots through the years, and I got the shot that I needed here yesterday, I can't find any doctor that can fill the form for me without doing the full medical. Do I submit the records of my vaccinations? I do have all the shots needed, just the DS-3025 blank. I'm so lost of what I need to do :(

i logged on to read the Argentina K1 requirements and it shows you need the vaccines as part of the medical report to get the K1 visa.   I'm not sure how you got the visa without all the vaccines, but I guess you're sure you didn't get one of them.  I'm not sure why they would give you a blank ds3025, instead of one with all the information except the one missing vaccine.  You might try to go back to them and say "hey, can you complete the DS3025 with all the vaccines I DO have?"..........then, get your missing vaccine in the US and then send in both documents.  That should be sufficient.

I have all the documents & vaccines ready but can't seem to find any doctor that wants to file the DS form for me without doing a full medical. It's so frustrating :(

I remember reading your earlier posts on this, but forgot what you mentioned.   But didn't you have to get a sealed packet of information from the medical folks in Argentina to submit to the US embassy in Argentina?   I would think they needed the DS-3025 in order to admit you to the US.   is it possible that maybe the hospital just neglected to provide you with a copy, and if so, could you contact them and have them send you one?

Also if the field office has a low number of cases, then one or two outlier cases on the fast or slow side can skew the average a lot.

Right...........I seriously doubt Kendall FL is actually 590 days.   If so, I feel sooooooo fortunate that we're not in Miami.

Unfortunately, Orlando is based on 16 cases, so it's likely to be somewhat accurate.

  14. I-485 and associated docs rec'd by USCIS on July 22, 4pm.   No email, check not cashed.     We need to get to FL for the biometrics.   Anyone who can share how long from the time USCIS recd your documents, until your biometrics were scheduled??

Whoops, found this info...............looks like we should have a solid month.   Out of the 84 offices, we are lucky enough to have the 11th slowest office.

Anyone know if you can send in additional materials to add to your application or if you just wait for the interview to bring pics?

I did not see a request for pictures, other than a passport photo, in any of the instructions, nor in Celie's checklist at the beginning of this post.   If you're referring to the relationship evidence, it's my understanding that you'll present that at the interview.   Maybe that's what they are returning to you?

Anyone file for AOS without having a SSN number?

Yep!   Docs were rec'd by USCIS on 7/22, without beneficiary SSN.   (Petitioner SSN was included obviously).

We applied at SS office last week.........they said we've have a delay while they sent an inquiry on our case.  I went to Casecheck earlier this week and found the USCIS was reviewing information from SS.   Yesterday, we rec'd the following........looks like USCIS did their thing.   So hoping SS is now processing the number, and we'll have it shortly.   Then, on to the bank accounts and DMV!!

Well at this moment they kind of have you by the short hairs. You'll need to continue to wait till such time as you see a chang or your card is sent to you. There isn't anything you can do at this time.

    LOL...........the proverbial short hairs indeed !!    😄

Oh well, it may delay the drivers license, and adding her to accounts, but insurance accepted her without the SSN, and that was our most critical issue.

Quick question regarding form I-864, what do we put in part 5 question 3? Do we leave it blank i looked at sample forms and they put 0, just abit confused by this.

Yeah, a bit odd, eh?   The Note at the top of the heading said don't count anyone more than once.   So I entered zero since I'm sponsoring my wife and I want the resulting Total Household Size to be 2, which is correct in our case.

Thanks, no consult needed.   DMV is quite close to the house, so I'll swing by there when we arrive later this week.

Interestingly, found this site that more closely aligns with my experience.......ID, SSN, and two documents proving address.   I'll update soon with our actual experience.

The information as I know it today is still valid. Follow the instructions and you should be ok. Two things to remember, don't take no from the window clerk so seek a supervisor for additional clarification. Also, if push comes to shove do not let them do an inquiry for the SAVE portion as it will take weeks and weeks for anything there to happen so you will not get the SSN until much later on in the process. Leave and give it a week or so and try again.

There is some good information here: https://www.uscis.gov/save/about-save/verification-process and here https://www.uscis.gov/save/casecheck

Thanks Greenbaum.   So here's what happened.......we went in early on the 17th, so missed your message......exceptionally friendly woman at the window, so we turned over the application, passport and I-94.  She was merrily typing away...and it started taking a bit longer than I thought it should and I started seeing some confused looks.   I asked "is her information all properly linked in the SAVE system".   Response:   "oh, yeah, everything is fine, I just need to have my supervisor come over to check my entries".   Supervisor comes by.............I've now got two of them with puzzled expressions looking at the screen.  She then tells me...."ok, this will likely take 3-4 days longer because "they" need to do some verification on your information".   well, we were 35 minutes in at this point, and she was pretty vague about what was going on.   We accepted it and left.

So earlier today I logged onto the Casecheck site, and it shows the case transferred to the SAVE system on the 17th, and returned to SS on the 18th.   I logged in just now, and it's showing Case Under Review.   Yeah, I should have known they could not have turned it around in 24 hours.   But if the "Maximum Days Left" means anything, hopefully the gal at the SSO was right, and it will only be delayed by a few days.

We didn’t go through fiancé visa so my knowledge is not first hand .. but I understand that, because the application for the ssn using a K1 generated I94 is that it will only be issued in the unmarried name.

Also, as it can sometimes take 4-6 weeks for the ID checking with DHS, getting the application in ASAP will give the best chance for success within the narrow timeframe .

Others will hopefully add their direct knowledge ..

ah, ok, thanks.  She is keeping her maiden name, so for us it's not an issue.   On the timing, we walked into the office and like so many others, they informed us that "additional checking" was required.  According to the SAVE casecheck site (below), they rec'd our case from SS on the same day she applied, and returned it to them the following day.  Status now shows actions are back with SS.  So I expect that we'll see that card in a matter of weeks.   Just for info, she applied for the SSN 14 days after arrival.
