This woman waits until 23 weeks? Someone somewhere will think she is deserving of understanding and wasn't given adequate information, or she had a terrible upbringing and is merely a confused, misguided soul. She laid on her back and opened her legs and it takes her nearly 6 months to realize she cannot support a child? So we have established she is a moron and now has to live with the fact that she delivered a live baby and did nothing whilst a murderer threw her baby in the trash. In my mind, that makes her an accessory to murder. Anyone willing to perform a termination at 23 weeks is a total sicko. I am disgusted.

Since when is stupidity quantifiable?
Ask britty....she seems qualified to make such declarations.
She's as qualified to think he's stupid as many are to think Bush is stupid. I also think Obama is stupid. He and little man Reich don't seem to be aware that white construction workers are an endangered species and could use a stimulus plan. That's just plain stupid.
How did I miss this gem. I suppose we can think whatever we want about our elected officials - as to whether our opinion are baseless or grounded in evidence....that's a different story - and is the gist of my argument. Again, re-emphasize there's a difference between saying something stupid and being stupid. britty, from her enlightening posts doesn't seem to make the distinction. Example - United Nations is corrupt because, according to her logic, there has been corruption within the governing body, yet she can't or doesn't make the same conclusion about the Bush Administration or other governments in general.
I am starting to think you don't like me Mr F Pants. Ok, I just need you to remind me where I posted a glowing reference for the Bush administration?? Obviously you like to read everything I write so I am sure you will find it sooner than I. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to posting more enlightening and informative comments for you in the future.
Don't take it personally, britty, and I apologize if you feel I'm singling you out. Your political opinions, however, are usually full of vitriol without offering any real articulated dissenting opinion, making it nearly impossible for anyone to engage in a meaningful political discussion with you. But don't feel alone...we seem to have a good number who aren't really interested in discussing politics.
I don't mind at all if you want to single me out. My political opinions are exactly that, mine. If you don't want to engage in a political discussion with me then simply refrain. I believe I explained fully the reasoning behind my opinions on the United Nations, but should you wish to hash that issue out, you will need to wait until I return from this week's business trip. I still haven't seen my glowing reference for the Bush administration however?
thanks....

he is a danger to every woman on the street, and should be euthanized. Why on earth do we keep things like this alive? They cannot be integrated into society, and we shouldn't need to pay for it to linger in prison either.

I would be miserable if I couldn't spend an afternoon in Bloomingdales. I buy the hubby loads of clothes too when I am shopping so everyone is happy.

its cringeworthy isn't it. I genuinely feel sorry for those people who are frankly stupid. Economic advisor my a$. But then Obama isn't the sharpest tool in the box either.
How do you measure stupidity?
how long is a piece of string?
britty has a knack for calling prominent political figures she doesn't like as being stupid, but doesn't bother to explain why. Saying something that is stupid is one thing. Actually being stupid is another.
Actually, I didn't call Obama stupid, I said I didn't think he was the sharpest tool in the box. In a great number of my posts, I have given my opinions and backed them up quite nicely. I don't see a problem here.

so you don't know then?

My yorkies always come out really well. Here is the recipe I use and it does work. Just sift the all purpose flour and make a well in the centre. Mix the eggs and milk together, add some salt and pepper and slowly whisk into the batter mixture. Leave the batter sitting at room temperature for one hour before you cook it.
Use a deep muffin pan and add a tablespoon of regular cooking oil. Heat the oven to 475F and then heat the pan for about 5-6 minutes. Have the batter ready when you take the pan out of the oven. Immediately ladle enough batter into each muffin hole to reach around half way up, and put straight back into the oven.
You won't see any action for about 15 minutes, and it will look like the yorkies are burning on top, but the top bits will fall off as the yorkies grow and then after 25 minutes you will have huge perfect yorkshire puddings !! Good luck.
vegetable oil
100ml full-fat milk
50ml sparkling water
115g all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 medium eggs, beaten

roast beef definitely with the best yorkies in the world (even if I do say so myself), roasties, fresh cut carrots, peas, and real gravy. Hubby loves it and so do all our friends. Its just like the roasts I used to make at home but it took me a while to perfect the yorkies out here.

Could you use your career in Canada to help with a job in the US ? When I received my greencard, I put the word out with ex-colleagues and associates in my home country (UK) that I was back on the market. The job I have now is a direct result of an ex-colleague passing my details to an associate of his in the US, and that guy calling me. I actually got three interviews that way and was offered the job with all 3 companies. I recommend that particular course of action, especially if like me, you have some skills which are fairly specialized. Good luck !

I don't know how many people have run into this situation before but here it goes anyway. So a couple of years ago I got married to this girl from the Philippines. I thought we were in love but found out that she was just really good at manipulating people. Eventually I was able to file a K1, get her to the US, marry her then find out she had someone back home. I had that marriage annulled for marriage fraud. So I go about my business dating other girls. But now, I end up with her sister. Eventually I do want to bring her over. My question is will their relationship be a burden to my petition? Also, will I have to send a copy of my annulment papers with the K1 petition? Has anyone run into this before?
My thoughts on this are that any girl who is willing to get with her sister's ex-husband has questionable morals, no matter how "in love" she may seem with you. This kind of relationship is asking for trouble, and is bound to create even more family drama--resentment, jealousy, fights. I personally wouldn't want to get myself involved in a mess like that or be a catalyst for the break-up of family relationships. It's just not worth it. No matter how hard it may seem, end the relationship and move on to find someone else that isn't willing to risk destroying her relationship with family. Family, after all, is first and foremost. Another way to look at it is, would you marry a girl that your own brother or sister had been in a relationship with, whether married or boyfriend/girlfriend? Would you be willing to ruin your relationship with him/her for a so-called love with their ex? Or on the other side, how would you feel if your own brother/sister told you they were going to marry your own ex?
I am not sure if you are Muslim or not but I think you may be because your spouse is from Morocco. If you had knowledge about Islaam, you would know that two of Prophet Muhammad's daughters married the same man, Uthman bin Affan. When the first sister died of malaria, the other sister married him later. Maybe you should keep quiet and know your own spouses religion if not your own.
I dont mean any disrespect, but this sister is not passed away. This is an entirely different situation.
sorry, back to topic
Her statement was unconditional and general. Whether she intended it or not, she insulted all women who fall into this category. It is incumbent for the Muslim to defend all other Muslims who are slandered, so what about the daughters of our beloved Messenger? Allaah said in the translation of the meaning,
“neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allaah.”
[al-Hujuraat 49:12]
Speaking irresponsibly or without thought is no excuse for broad insulting statements.
Oh get over yourself. The posts were not religiously motivated so why bring religion into it? It was simply someone's personal thoughts on a particular issue. Maybe you should consider that the intention here was not to insult or offend anyone so why are you making such a big deal about it? If you support two women marrying the same man then good for you, if someone else doesn't, it isn't any of your business.

I bet she was all "oh please give me a kidney - I love you" when she wanted him to save her life, but now she has the life saving organ, all bets are off. I doubt he will get anywhere with this, and certainly won't get his kidney back, but I support his claim. He was so devoted to her that he risked his own health by trying to save her life. She let him too. Ungrateful cow.

And we're lucky to live in a country where our elected government chooses to use its funds to better our country by feeding us, providing jobs, and giving us electricity and not focus on obliterating the country next to it instead!

I don't like the exterior of the home, but it looks light and fairly spacious inside. If the Calgary market demands $420k for this type of home, then this is probably a good example of one that is well kept, clean, and move-in ready.

Ah, ok.
If I had to have guessed, I would thought you grew up in the midwest - perhaps some of your husband's Virginian sensibilities has rubbed off on you.
We're not all moonbat leftist types brainwashed by the BBC, you know.
The BBC is just pure evil. If everyone thought like us Mawilson, this world wouldn't suck

About $150 - $175 per week in groceries for the two of us, and the animals. I do most of the grocery shopping and always try and purchase organic, free range, and ranges with absolutely no testing on animals. It is definitely more expensive but my conscience won't allow me to purchase "barn" eggs for example. I try and buy meat at a farm about an hour drive away that welcomes visitors, and where all animals are truly free range, and raised with dignity, respect, and fed a natural, organic diet. The chickens alone cost $22 so when I go there to stock up on meat, the bill is huge. We used to go out about 4 times a week for dinner, but the appeal seemed to diminish so now we only go out once a week with maybe a couple of lunches thrown in. I still have an issue with Carr Water Biscuits being over $4 a pack, but what can you do? I always buy what we like to eat regardless of cost. Otherwise, it would just get thrown out and be a total waste of money.
Careful, britty - people might mistake you for a tree hugging librul....and you know what kind of wrath that brings around here.
Mr Pants my dear fellow, I wouldn't deign to eat the low quality, steroid riddled, undersized "eggs" that are on offer in the poor people's cooler.
Ah, phew...you scared me there for a minute. I pictured you wearing a tie-dyed dress with a big peace sign while shopping.
Fear not, there is absolutely no way I'm leaving the house looking like you.
Since we're having a light-hearted discussion here, what is your story? Are you an American who grew up in the UK or are you a citizen of the UK?
Central London born and raised ! The hubster is American so Northern Virginia is home for now. You?

Actually I am having plastic surgery on my face but I do have a scar from cancer on my cheek, and although its hard to notice it, I notice it and so a plastic surgeon is "fixing" it for me in a year or so when the scar has settled. That is it though !!! Thankfully everything is still where it should be so no work for me for the forseeable
What about the big ####### mole right in the middle of your forehead?
What the hell are on about, Marc? How do you know what britty looks like?
Lol - when you look like Angelina Jolie though, it really doesn't matter

The designation of "terrorism" gets pretty fuzzy when it comes to situations like this.
Shooting rockets into Israel and conducting suicide bombings IS terrorism.
Fighting back against a military incursion into your territory isn't.
Hamas is a terrorist organisation - but that doesn't mean everything they do is a terrorist act.
So they are only a problem when they actually carry out an act of terrorism? While they are planning their acts, and trying to figure out ways to take Israel off the map, followed by the entire west, they are just nutjobs?

Society did NOT fail this woman. This woman failed herself in a despicable way. She was old enough to jump into bed with some guy and get knocked up. She is an adult and as such, should have made a decision to terminate long before 23 weeks. Society is not repsonsible for the ####### decisions that people make, and nor should it be blamed when a stupid 18 year old WOMAN makes herself an accessory to murder. If this haunts her for the rest of her life, so it should.
