I am trying to update my profile at ustravelsdoc but am being asked to enter priority date and I don't know the kind of date they are requesting.. it is a dv lottery visa. Any help will do. Thanks
Your priority date is the date when Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative was received by USCIS.

THE NVC JUST SENT ME A EXPEDITE NOTIFICATION EMAIL THAT MY CASE FILE WILL IS BEING SENT TO THE EMBASSY BUT THERE IS A SECTION IN THE EMAIL THAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND "THE CONSULAR SECTION WILL CONTACT YOU TO SCHEDULE YOUR VISA INTERVIEW ONCE THEY RECEIVE YOUR CASE FILE" DOES THAT MEAN THAT I WILL SCHEDULE MY OWN INTERVIEW LIKE K1 OR THEY WILL SCHEDULE IT AND SEND ME THE DATE
It doesn't meant you can schedule your own interview bro , the letter is telling you that , every new cases get their interview scheduled by the consular after the consular first review their case and they will be send an email for an interview date .
So wait bro , you will receive an email from the US consular in your country indicating about your interview date !

I called and email...they rude and hang up on me. I wasted almost $10 in calls to Ghana...they do my husband the same way!
You don't have to call Ghana direct , there is a similar number operated in the States reference to the all US embassies around the world , if you call that number is the same as you have call US Embassy in Ghana .

Actually it used to happened sometimes but you have to email the embassy to bring their attention on your case issue .
And most important to call them in addition to ask about the update of your passport after the interview. This sometimes works and you may get a good response or they will sees the update of your passport for you and let you know what to expect ahead.

How many day does it take to get your visa (passport) from the DHL?
Have my interview in May 28, CEAC says ISSUED but i have not got any notification to come for my visa
Be patient , it will take approximately a week or 12 days to hear from the Embassy about your passport .
They will send you text massage on your phone and email you in addition in your email address to let you know your passport is ready for pick up .

D embassy contacted me again on my REAFFIRMED case and requested for an updated medicals and police report.
My problem is , the embassy didn't request for * an updated affidativ of support* . Would like to know if i shd just go without it or carry it( updated one) along. Pls honest and answers from experienced folks. Thanks folks for ur prompt responses
In Ghana any reaffirmed cases need a new police report , so I will advice you to get a new police report when you are going on for your interview.
Good luck !!!

Yes, I have several originals of my marriage cert. However, they might ask for that particular MC mailed to USCIS. Each MC has different barcodes. I'm afraid they might ask for that particular MC with that certain barcode even if the ones I have are also original.
They will ask you only the exact submitted documents which was submitted to USCIS only as a reference , but not the one you did not includes in your processing documents to USCIS.

Hi,
My wife is a GC Holder and she has filed I-130 in Dec 2018. I received the NOA1 and then silence. While looking through forums I realized that we did not submit my Birth certificate. Though it is not mentioned in the checklist, will this result in an RFE later, can I send additional documents to USCIS now ?
I advice you to do that , and state the reason behind the delayed not included into the documents in a reference to the submitted documents .
Good luck.

Hi! Will the Embassy ask for the exact original documents mailed to USCIS for I-130? Or shall they only ask for the originals uploaded oN CEAC?
I'm afraid i already lost the exact original of our marriage certificate that we mailed to USCIS. I have several originals of our MC, so I thought that's fine since it's an original document anyway. Apparently, a consul asked for the exact original uploaded. From what I've read from a recent interviewee, she was asked for the exact original of the MC uploaded on CEAC. She initially presented exact originals of the docs she mailed to USCIS plus a different version of MC, which was different from what she uploaded on CEAC and mailed to USCIS. The consul asked if she brought the MC with a particular barcode at the bottom of the paper, referring to the one uploaded. Luckily, she also brought that one, which she uploaded and mailed to USCIS.
Now, Im not sure if the consul would ask for the exact originals of the documents mailed to USCIS. Or the exact originals of the documents uploaded on CEAC would be fine.
Yes the consular will demand the original of any documents submitted to the USCIS at the time for your visa processing interview date , so please if you know the marriage certificate can't be find , I advice you to go back where your marriage certificate was issue and clarify the problems for them to issue you a replacement.
However , if you didn't do it , it gonna be a very serious issue with the CO to believe your marriage is not a sham or fake because that original marriage certificate is very important to them at the time for your visa processing interview.

Hi, All!
Changed my phone number (got a great international plan on my cell that unfortunately meant a new number.)
Should I report this to USCIS? (Pending Spouse I-130.)
No change in address - only phone number.
Thanks!
You are fine to go , USCIS don't usually give a call , but they used to post you a mail or email you in your e-mail address about any process contains your case .

What will be the best answer to this question - what have changed about your situation - in your next interview?
Brother , this question is referring your past and now the present .
(1) Imaging you have no any child with your wife before and now you do have a child , is part of the change.
(2) she don't have a house of her own but now she do , is part of the change.
(3) you never have a bank account together but now you both do have account together , is part of the change.
ETC , ETC .
So just look at it and say something BRO.
Good luck and wishing all the best.

Country is Belize, thanks
Approximately two months for the consular to review the documents and within one month to receive your visa in hand.
This is a rough calculation going through Belize US Embassy time factor for you.

Filling is just approximately 6 months at USCIS , another 6 months at NVC and then 2 to 3 months at the US Embassy in Nigeria.

Very very sorry to hear all this frustration and abuse you are going through.

The embassy in Islamabad will send you a package containing interaction for any documents you will have to bring with you at the interview.
Yes you do need a police report to clarify your background check for any criminal activities in your past.
However , about the Affidavit originality , in Ghana and Nigeria for example and other African countries , the US Embassy want you to bring the Original Affidavit to be signed by the petitioner send through by post , I don't know about Islamabad.
As for the originality of the affidavit look at the package containing interaction from the US Embassy ,you will know how to handle about it.
Good luck.

It's important to take good care of your DS-260 information very well because that will be your life history as in a social security when you come to the States.
Pls sees to it that everything is fine and correct.
Yes you can save it and come back to finish it later .

I pray you get your visa in hand my dear , but you did took a great risk for booking a flight ticket before getting your visa in hand which wasn't advisable at all especially in a country where it as been placed red flag , Nigeria , Ghana and the rest in Africa.
However , just dress moderate and pray with good faith that God Almighty help you in all this frustration to get this visa for your sister's wedding.
Good luck and wishes you all the best.

Your case is under administrative process and it depends on the number of cases at the Embassy waiting for an interview.
