Thank you so much. As @JoelThai said if you have everything prepared, you’re gonna pass the interview. The interview will be fast and easy too. Good luck! : )

Thank you, we did pass.  She was so excited that later when I asked her how the interview was she didn't remember if the officer said pass or not.  But they took her passport so I said probably passed...

You are both correct about being prepared and having all the correct documents before the interview, it helps a lot.  The interview was about 5 minutes with questions like; where did you meet; where does he live and where does he work.

Now on to the next step....

Thank you!   If your documentation is complete and organized with reasonable supporting evidence of relationship, you should have nothing to worry about.   My fiancee reported that the interview was quick and easy and a lot less stressful than she was expecting.   Good luck to the both of you!

You can check my review of her embassy interview here:

Thank you for the detailed review.  I will pass this info to my fiance, hopefully she won't be as nervous than she already is...

Thank you.   We were approved.   🎉

I want to thank all of my fellow Thai K1 applicants (past and present) and everyone else who has contributed to Visa Journey.   Everything progressed with our I-129F Petition and K1 Visa application as well as I could hope (other than being a long slow process).   I am not sure if I could make that claim if VJ was not holding our hand along the way.

Honorable mentions go to @Loren Y for letting me follow in his footsteps, @Naes for being a VJ friend and someone to talk to, @Greenbaum for his support, and @TBoneTX for setting me straight when I was off target and teaching me to be a good VJ contributor. (I am sure he has no idea what I am talking about.  😀).

Now I need to figure out which of the many VJ forums I need to start paying attention to...

congratulations to both @JoelThai and @Bunyaka on passing the interview!.  Hoping i will get the same result.  Good luck in the future.

Also a bit tricky is the date format for the search range is DD MM YYYY.   It took me a few trys to get it correct.

    I used :

    Shippers Reference -   EXP 07 AUG 2018A

    Date Range for Shipment - From 07 08 2017

    Date Range for Shipment - To.     08 08 2017

It also looks like the DHL info is still being updated, so if it is not working for you today, try again tomorrow.

Hey Joel, based on the info I think BKK embassy has received our cases.  It was delivered on Sat Aug 11.  Case is still in transit though on CEAC website.

  5. Case is also in transit.  This is the email I got from NVC.

    K1-FTP

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiancé (e)’s/spouse’s approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Bangkok, Thailand. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.

    Next steps:

Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.

Please keep the following information for your records:

  6. Hello everyone, just an update to my timeline.  Today I received an email from AskNVC that they have assigned a case number.  I was going to call NVC after work but the email came while I was working.  On 07/18 I sent an email to AskNVC to include my fiances' email and they have also included this request in the email that they sent with the case number.  I hope this info helps.

    N0A2 - 07/11

    NVC - 07/25

14 days from NOA2 to case number.

I am so happy for you!
But I am so worried about mine. Is it normal we received NOA1 on December 20th and we didn’T receive our NOA2 yet?
    did you submit an inquiry?

Eli&Brett, no I did not submit an inquiry.  But I was planning to as we were approaching the 215 day limit.

I woke up this morning to an email that said "We have taken action on your case.  Sign in to view your case status."

    I signed in and:

    July 16, 2018

    We approved your case

Read the notice we mailed you for more information

If you do not receive your notice by August 15, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your notice by mail.

If your mailing address changes, update your address with us.

Finally after a long, long wait it is here.

    NOA1 Dec 20, 2017 (old)

    NOA1 Dec 26, 2017 (new)

    NOA2 July 16, 2018 (new website)

    208 days NOA1 to NOA2

I promised myself that I would not whine on VJ before I hit 210 days and the case was officially over 210 days and beyond normal processing times.

I just called my fiance in Japan and we are so happy to move to the next steps.

    Congratulations!!!
