  1. Passed my Citizenship test today. It took 15min altogether. The interviewer asked me 6 questions and I answered correctly for all of those. She asked me to read a sentence and write down a sentence which was the similar to the question she asked me to read 😂 Then she updated my personal info specially as I had the change of address.I was expecting a same day oath ceremony.Unfortunately the state of Massachusetts stopped doing the same day oath ceremony.I have to wait til next month to complete the oath ceremony and Get my certificate. That was the only depressing part.

At the end I am happy to know that I almost a step or half a step away to the final Goal.It has been a Long journey Best of luck to everyone and Thank you visa journey for being the ultimate guide in the whole process.🇺🇲

agree with the representative, USCIS doesn't handle change address well. You only need to change address within 10 days and you'll still be within that timeframe. people change address during interview all the time. as long as you're within the district that the office is handling, you should be fine.

Yes.I was so worried. The lady was a bit rude on the call. She didn't answer well. But Thank you so much.I will move on 5th across the parking lot and on 12th update the address with the Immigration officer

  3. Hi Visa Journey Folks.I have a question to ask and this is urgent. I have my upcoming interview with USCIS on November 12th. I am planning a move across the street on 5th. This is same state, just 2 units away. I tried changing the address online and it gives me an error saying "I can't change my address at this part of the adjudication process". I called USCIS and the representative suggest to move but not to update the address online. In the interview just confirm the new address with the officer as if I try to change the address , they might cancel my interview. What you guys suggest? anybody in the similar situation? I am super stressed. Please suggest/advise. Thanks in advance.

    Hi everybody,

    I need some advice, please.

Yesterday, I finally got a call back from a Tier 2. As I wrote before, I got a status update that USPS returned a notice to USCIS. I still don't know which notice it could've been, as the officer did not see any biometrics scheduled yet, however, tier 1 officers told me they were likely ordered on Dec. 4.  Since I have filed a missing notice e-request on Dec. 19 - I am not able to send a new request until Jan 19. Officer said case looks ok but didn't know what was sent back. It was not a biometrics notice.

Would he have seen any RFE? I am just worried I am missing something important. It could well be (maybe) that USCIS re-sent the NOA? That is the only notice I got and maybe they just sent that?

Should I file a new missing mail request? Should I call USCIS again?

I did not see anything in informed delivery and the post office and mail person have no idea why and what. I put my name into my mailbox, just in case. Did not move...Case status simply changed from pending to mail returned - nothing inbetween - no indication of anything.

Any advice and perspective is truly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Hey. Really Sorry to hear that u still have no Noa or Biometrics. I would say wait till January 19th as they asked u to.as they said the case looks ok, then I don't think it is RFE. U might get ur Noa soon.

Also I don't trust this Uscis online case status as they are so slow in updating. So don't even bother about that. Definitely call again to Uscis after 19th and when the automated call asks u why u r calling just say " schedule an Info pass appointment " I tried by finding it in another thread and it worked. For me🤣 Then whoever recieves it asks them where ur case standing for Now. If they sent any Noa yet or schedule any biometrics. Hope it helps. Keep us updated and Hopefully u hear Something positive back. best of Luck🙂

We had our interview today in St. Louis, MO at 8am, status changed to new card being produced within 1 hour. Interview was very quick and just had us double check our names, date of birth, when did we meet and where. He also asked us to tell him about some of trips over the last few years.

    Applying for citizenship this weekend!

Great news. Congratulations. When did u apply for Roc?

    Hi everybody,

i have not received anything regarding biometrics since I received my NOA in July. What sort of service requests can I do? I tried to call USCIS, but this is futile. My case status is the same since 191 days (case received) and I have no idea if they sent something and it might have been lost in the mail (I worry about that). What service requests can I file?

    thank you!

Hey I would say try checking e-request on Uscis. And check on Didn't receive documents  in mail and fill the details in the Query and send it to them. They will get back to u with an answer.

Did not hear anything for a whole year.

Status updated once again to ready to be scheduled for interview : May 2020

Applied for citizenship: September month end

Status updated to interview scheduled: October 1st 2020

Interview date received: October 5th 2020

    Interview date: November 12th 2020

We are still married. We submitted everything!

The interview was very laid back she went through all the documents that were submitted and told us our case will be approved shortly.

Was it a combo interview for I-751 and citizenship both??

    Congratulations.
