I had contact with Congress office, not Ombusman. I wrote a letter t to Congress office about my issue of out proccessing timeline. They replied that Vermont have pproved my case and they will send a notice about 30 days. I am waiting the notice coming.
Congressman and Senator will help a lot.

if your attorney has no clue where to submit the VAWA application then you are screwed with this attorney. USCIS will not issue more RFE if the person or attorney forgot to mail mandatory documents along with the I-360. You should hire an immigration attorney  with experience in VAWA cases and not a family attorney .

Hi all,I received an email this morning that said we have taken action on your case.I logged on to uscis website and It said we have ordered your new card and from this forum I learned this means my vawa is approved.I am so happy already.Filed vawa June 29 17

My I 751 abuse waiver approved today.
 
I applied in July 2017.

File form l765 use category C9, submit a copy of your l765, copy of your passport,copy of your l94, if any, 2 pictures style passport , copy of your AOS receipt as well.

June 15, 2017 filer no RFE, but I sent more evidence with the blue paper. 
 
Rushing to work, will post a better timeline later. Keep praying, don’t let fear and anxiety get to you. Yours will be approved too.

If your spouse withdraws the l864 then USCIS will deny the l485 and you need to refile again, but if she doesn’t withdraw then when you will go to the AOS interview you should ask the officer to put the AOS on hold until final AOS adjudication,the officer might put on hold or not.

I just got a CA ID about a month ago and I had the same status when I called DMV. Then I googled about it and found the phone number for DMV Legal Presence Department. It took me 4-5 days to be able to talk to someone but the guy on the phone checked my application and told me I’d get my ID in the mail in 2 weeks. And it came. Here is the number 916 657 7445.
 
Keep calling early in the morning and a few times during the day. You will get someone on the phone eventually.

My timeline:
November 14, 2016 - sent I-360, I-485 and I-756 to USCIS
November 21, 2016 - receipt notice
December 9, 2016 - Prima Facie
January 5, 2017 - got biometrics done for my kids included in my application (surprisingly, I didn't receive an appointment letter for myself)
February 7, 2017 - EAD approval notice
February 14, 2017 - EAD received 
October 24, 2017 - Applied EAD extension
November 20, 2017 - biometrics appointment (finally!)
January 3, 2018 - received new EAD
March 19, 2018 - I-360 approved
November 2, 2018 - interview notice received

You need to send a letter to the local office that denied your l485.

It makes sense. I had my vawa receipt on hands when he withdrew the 130. And my A# was kept the same. 
 
To this day it still baffles me how could we have found ourselves these evil husbands and wives... Luckily  it doesn’t hurt me anymore. 

I did not say NBC,the person has to ask the local office not to issue the NTA.

Well, honestly I do not know the right answer to that question maybe @sandra can help, but I know they ought to verify legal presence.I suggest you always remain positive and pray, because that's the only way to move forward.

Maybe he should check on the status of the request.

They have one record! and if you were issued one it was your local office that did.

Ok, another thing you can do is to request every letter they have ever sent on that previous i-485, here is the guidance on how to request it https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/freedom-information-and-privacy-act-foia/uscis-freedom-information-act-and-privacy-act, read the instructions,download the form and fill it out, state exactly what you need them to send you, they will send you duplicates of what they have on file in including decision and if they also issued NTA. You should receive response within couple of weeks.

The only way to know without a letter is what you have been doing by calling that number, I don't think you were issued one, keep your hopes up, not everyone get NTA.

If you have your old Alien Number with you, call this 1-800-898-7180  and enter your Alien Number just to see if you can find any record. But not everyone gets notice to appear as I know of someone who's Adjustment of status was denied August 2017, the denial letter only stated that the petition was denied and ead voided, they never asked the person to depart voluntarily neither did the person get NTA, but the person refiled after 3months.
 

I guess because of the NTA, only the court has the authority to make a decision on the new i-485, someone should please correct me if I am wrong.

I received denied letter first, and 45 days later I received NTA with no court date. 8months passed still no second NTA  no court date. I kept checking with hotline # every week. Get the same message( no case has been file with immigration court.  I took my time(5months) prepare all evidence , restraint order and affidavit. My lawyer took 2months to review it. I don’t rush. She sent out this week. Since Boston immigration court 1-2years wait. I won’t be able to get work permit or anything. Just wait.............. 
 
My lawyer suggested submit I360 alone with USCIS. once approved, Adjust status in court.
 
I heard VAWA cancellation in court way way harder.
