Thank you!!

Thank you all for your responses. That’s an awfully long time to process the I-751.
What are your suggestions for what to do in the meantime if my husband needs to travel? We have the extension paperwork but I believe those are only valid with the expired green card in hand.

My husband recently lost his green card, which is expired (we have the extension letters). We submitted for the removal of conditions back in March 2021 and our case status has been showing “Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview” since December 16, 2021. We also have a pending N-400 application.
2 questions:
1. Is it worth requesting a replacement green card given that his green card was expired and we are waiting for a new GC anyways once conditions have been removed?
2. is it normal that it’s taking so long to schedule the interview for removal of conditions?
Thanks!

Help! I'm hoping someone can answer me quickly! My husband just picked up his visa from the embassy in Dakar, but was only given his passport with the visa and a piece of paper titled "Immigrant Data Summary". I was expecting that he would get a sealed envelope with our entire application. He went back and they said that now that's all the give out with the visa. Has anyone else experienced this?? Does this sound right? My husband's flight is tomorrow morning so I want to make sure he won't have issues at the POE.

Update: my husband had his interview this morning in Dakar, Senegal and his visa was APPROVED! He has to go back next Tuesday to pick up his visa. The interview was quick & easy, the CO just asked him about how we met and if our families were both at our wedding. His interview was at 7am, but he arrived at 6am so he was the first interview of the day - he was back home by 9am with the approval!

Yes, you can travel for 1 year with the Immigration stamp on your passport. You don't have to worry however if you applied for a green card after you entered the state and you got the receipt in the mail always carry that paper while you traveling abroad. Also, the officer should have informed you at the time of POE and when they stamped your passport.
Thank you for your response. My husband hasn't entered the US yet, his interview is on Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

You can leave for a short period. The visa you get in the passport is good for travel, no need to wait for actual green card.
Thank you!!

I'm wondering if anyone knows if once someone enters the US on a IR-1 visa, can they leave the country for a short period of time (ie. less than a month) if they haven't received their green card yet and return without any issues? Does anyone have any experience doing this?

I think I selected the option for "all other inquires". I had been trying to get through for a couple days, but I kept getting a message that all reps were busy. Finally, I got through today!

My case was completed on 2/13. I just called NVC and was told that my husband's interview was scheduled this morning for April 23rd at the Dakar, Senegal embassy. I haven't received an email yet and ceac still hasn't been updated, but the NVC rep told me that everything should be updated in the next few days.

Did you forget to include them? I hope they will review them fast!
I'm wondering how we need to upload them if there are a few W2’s from different employers - should all W2's 2017 be in one document or each uploaded separately?
I understood "recent tax year" as 2018, so I uploaded by 2018 W2s instead of my 2017.
I had 3 W2s, so I just uploaded all of them into one PDF, compressed it, and uploaded into the other supporting documentation section.

any recent case complete or reviews form NVC for us to see how far they are or what date they reach in their reviews.
I got an RFE on 1/29 for 2017 W2s, uploaded them on the same day but stupidly forgot to click "submit" until I realized it on 2/2. I just got case complete today. Hope this helps.

Did you send your 2018 tax return? That’s why they want your 2017 W2’s, because no tax return included with 2018 W2’s.
Oh, I see. No, I didn't send my 2018 return, just the W2s.

If you have 2018 correct, if not 2017,2016,2015. 2018 will most likely be your tax return and W2, transcript may not be available. Tax transcripts are preferred if you can get them.
I sent in my tax transcripts for 2017, 2016, and 2015 and sent in my W2s for 2018. I got an RFE asking me to submit my W2s for 2017 as well. So, I'd submit both tax transcripts and W2s to be safe.

Got our case number this past Thursday (24th) and immediately paid the fees on that night.
Anyone know how long they take to process the payments?
The website does not allow you to proceed any further until the payment is accepted
It takes 2-3 business days to process the payments. You should be able to access the other parts of the website on Monday or Tuesday.

That is strange, so what type of documents they wanted you to upload, only the affidavit? What type of visa did you apply for , I130 for spouse ?
Never mind, I figured it out! It said N/A because I hadn't yet submitted the IV application. Now that I've submitted it, it says "start now". Thank you!

They only asked for the AOS and DS-260 IV form. I’m applying for the CR1 spousal visa.

I submitted my documents to NVC yesterday, but I just realized that they didn’t ask for any civil documents. In the box for civil documents, it said N/A. Has anyone experienced this?

Our case was approved on 11/05/18. On 11/15/18, we got a text from USCIS indicating they had sent the case to the DOS/NVC. I called yesterday (11/19/18), but still nothing has been received or assigned. Does anyone know what sort of mail courier they use that it takes 2 weeks to arrive...just you know a thought.
Our cases must be in the same batch. My case was approved at TSC on 11/2 and I received a text saying it had been sent to the NVC on 11/14. I also called yesterday, nothing yet. USPS delivery times are usually 7-10 business days, so I think 10 days - 2 weeks is standard, unfortunately.

Did you get an update by calling NVC or USCIS? Or were you notified another way?

My husband has his N-400 interview on August 18th. The weird thing is that he also received an interview notice for our pending I-751 application to remove conditions on his 2-year green card for the exact date & time. Anyone know why this is?
Also - last time we were at the USCIS office for another issue, we saw a lot of people doing their interviews and then sitting back down in the waiting room until they were called to do their citizenship oath on the same day. Is this the common process?
