  1. My husband has his N-400 interview on August 18th. The weird thing is that he also received an interview notice for our pending I-751 application to remove conditions on his 2-year green card for the exact date & time. Anyone know why this is?

Also - last time we were at the USCIS office for another issue, we saw a lot of people doing their interviews and then sitting back down in the waiting room until they were called to do their citizenship oath on the same day. Is this the common process?

  2. My husband recently lost his green card, which is expired (we have the extension letters). We submitted for the removal of conditions back in March 2021 and our case status has been showing “Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview” since December 16, 2021. We also have a pending N-400 application.

    2 questions:

    1. Is it worth requesting a replacement green card given that his green card was expired and we are waiting for a new GC anyways once conditions have been removed?
    2. is it normal that it’s taking so long to schedule the interview for removal of conditions?

    Thanks!

  3. Help! I'm hoping someone can answer me quickly! My husband just picked up his visa from the embassy in Dakar, but was only given his passport with the visa and a piece of paper titled "Immigrant Data Summary". I was expecting that he would get a sealed envelope with our entire application. He went back and they said that now that's all the give out with the visa. Has anyone else experienced this?? Does this sound right? My husband's flight is tomorrow morning so I want to make sure he won't have issues at the POE.

Yes, you can travel for 1 year with the Immigration stamp on your passport. You don't have to worry however if you applied for a green card after you entered the state and you got the receipt in the mail always carry that paper while you traveling abroad. Also, the officer should have informed you at the time of POE and when they stamped your passport.

Thank you for your response. My husband hasn't entered the US yet, his interview is on Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

Did you forget to include them? I hope they will review them fast!

I'm wondering how we need to upload them if there are a few W2’s from different employers - should all W2's 2017 be in one document or each uploaded separately?

I understood "recent tax year" as 2018, so I uploaded by 2018 W2s instead of my 2017.

I had 3 W2s, so I just uploaded all of them into one PDF, compressed it, and uploaded into the other supporting documentation section.

If you have 2018 correct, if not 2017,2016,2015. 2018 will most likely be your tax return and W2, transcript may not be available. Tax transcripts are preferred if you can get them.

I sent in my tax transcripts for 2017, 2016, and 2015 and sent in my W2s for 2018. I got an RFE asking me to submit my W2s for 2017 as well. So, I'd submit both tax transcripts and W2s to be safe.

Got our case number this past Thursday (24th) and immediately paid the fees on that night.

Anyone know how long they take to process the payments?

The website does not allow you to proceed any further until the payment is accepted

It takes 2-3 business days to process the payments. You should be able to access the other parts of the website on Monday or Tuesday.

Our case was approved on 11/05/18. On 11/15/18, we got a text from USCIS indicating they had sent the case to the DOS/NVC. I called yesterday (11/19/18), but still nothing has been received or assigned. Does anyone know what sort of mail courier they use that it takes 2 weeks to arrive...just you know a thought.

Our cases must be in the same batch. My case was approved at TSC on 11/2 and I received a text saying it had been sent to the NVC on 11/14. I also called yesterday, nothing yet. USPS delivery times are usually 7-10 business days, so I think 10 days - 2 weeks is standard, unfortunately.
