New week, new hope? Haha! Glad to see some people have been getting some silent notifications though! Hopefully it's like that for a majority of us? They've been working but haven't updated the system - Monday night like everyone else gave me a heart attack when their system went down, got all excited and was like OMG OMG EAD!!! Then saw that the entire system had crashed 😂

@NikkiFromCanada @BrazilianInTexas @ira1712 @Katri I spoke to my congressman's office, they have all the details now and are making inquiries on my behalf, I've yet to hear back from them but will keep you guys updated. They seemed super helpful so I'm hoping they are able to get some answers.... MAYBEEEEEEEE even get some light shed on the October boxes they seem to have been missing and get everyone else here waiting approved too because they find the boxes mysteriously hidden in a corner at NBC.... 

@jakejon Thanks for your kind words and support, yes it's mad to be waiting this long - Day 189! But then again it was similar times for the K1 right?! Just gonna try and make the most of the good weather and celebrate what I can while I don't have work... cause I mean watch all of us start complaining about how much we don't get enough time at home, once we start working! 

Also a note to everyone. thanks for being so supportive to the members of VJ who have yet to receive their EAD/AP's makes the process so much easier to swallow, when you know you have people supporting you!

I KNOW...…. This is crazy. I was just looking my K1 stuff and our case was approved in 215 days. Can't believe EAD almost takes the SAME time.... 

Wow lol duh!! Obviously!! Hahaha I know I have my interview, but that is still a month away. I would happily welcome EAD in the meantime!! They do NOTHING in order as MANY people who applied after me have been approved. Frustrating! I am a professional, with a career and to be out of the work force for 7 months while waiting on this process is insane!

I received my Green Card interview letter today!! My interview is May 7th in Baltimore!!! I am so happy!!!!

We had our green card interview this morning in San Antonio, TX! We had the nicest person we could pray for to interview us! 10/10
Went through the application information like names and birthdays, asked a few of the “yes or no” questions . Took a picture and fingerprints. Asked if I remember when I sent my medical exam (they took it when I entered the USA). Asked how we met and for joined contracts ( we had the last taxes and car insurance). Checked birth certificates.
That was all, didn’t even look at the pictures I was preparing so diligently 😂
A few ours latter the app updated to AOS approved!
 

My status finally changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" I know it can sit at that status for months, but I'm just so happy to see some kind of update!

Ok that's easy enough. No joint sponsor, and my husband has the same job, making the same amount.

1. Bring the originals of everything you submitted with your I485. Passport to show bio page and K1 Visa sticker, BC if you submitted it, I94, Noa2 from your K1, original MC, whatever else you sent ie. Original Divorce Decrees, original criminal documents if applicable. 
Pull out your cover letter and see what photo copies you sent and bring those things in their original forms and a photocopy. 
2. Only if the financial situation of your sponsor changed. Have they filed 2018 taxes since then? Gotten a better paying job? Do they earn more so now they do not need the joint sponsor you used originally? Lost their job so now you need a joint sponsor? Had a baby thus increasing your household size?
If so do up a new I864 just incase and bring new financial documents.

Im still awaiting my interview letter but i believe we will get it today as well hopefully as i have a first class package from California coming in today... our mail man is really lazy sometimes we dont get mail until 4pm. 🐌

As a K1 you are eligible to apply for AOS because:
1. You were approved for an I129F petition (provide your I129f Noa2 approval notice).
2. You were approved for a K1 Visa (provide your K1 visa sticker).
3. You entered the US legally using your K1 Visa (provide your I94 admission record).
4. You married your USC spouse within 90 days of entry (provide your MC).

Still waiting on my interview letter! It's only been 4 days since my status changed to Interview was scheduled. I hope it comes Monday. The suspense is killing me!

Hi  Yeah I live about as NOVA as you can get, right across the bridge from DC! I'm from Victoria, BC, but I went to university in Texas and then lived in Miami for 4 years AND had one year of an OPT, so I lived in the US for almost 9 years as a student before going home for a year then starting from scratch again with a K-1...it was so nice to live back home with my family that I almost wished my now-husband and I could just live there instead! I think I've convinced him that we should retire in Victoria in about 40 years  How about you?
