Do not over think it, it really doesn't matter if he is working or not, the only employment verification that really matters is yours. They don't necessarily spend to much time questioning the beneficiary about the gaps in their employment history.

Sorry to hear that. I got the online notification of approval on June 11th and the letter said it was approved June 9th. But either way, I was approved after you. Hang in there, yours is probably there and waiting to be picked up by someone to put in the system, I am assuming.

The DS - 160 is a document that stands alone. It does not affect anything. It does not need to be finished to do anything else EXCEPT the interview and it can be completed between now and the day before your interview. You can't use it to find any information about your case. You can't use if for anything other than for its original intent and that is for the CO to use during your interview to adjudicate your case.
 
To use CEAC to track your case you need the case number which is issued at NVC. The only way to know what is happening with your case at NVC is to use the mobile app or call.
 
I hope this gives a better understanding of the current instructions to answer your questions.

Thank you so much. Yes, this is where we can check our status using NVC number. What I was doing wrong was checking Nonimmigrant status but should have been checking using Immigrant. Thank you very much, everyone.

HI, Thank you so much. I had read these words people used that they got their case number and they case says in processing or in transit etc. So I thought they were able to use the case number provided by NVC somwhere to see that info. 
 
Are we still talking about the case tracker app (USCIS)? or there is another app specifically for NVC.

Just called NVC. I had to wait for about 15 minutes most but I had my phone on speaker phone and was doing my own things until they picked up. My NOA2 was June 9th. They said they received my case and I gave them my fiance's email. I got the case number today. So happy. All the best everyone.

My NOA2 date is 6/6, still no case at NVC.... I'll try again tomorrow! Really hoping it gets there this week.

Hello everyone! We just received our NOA2 today (June 18th) after 228 days waiting! Yay!! NOA1 was Nov 2nd. Sooo excited to finally reach that next step 

We are going through the UAE Embassy in Abu Dhabi, as that is where my fiance lives and works. So any info/updates on that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Now we start the 2 week wait to contact the NVC Center

Thank you Lord!! I finally received an email this morning from USCIS, logged in their website and showed that our case was approved! 
For those who are still waiting, do not lose hope. Try asking assistance from your congessman or senator. Also, calling USCIS won't hurt even if it takes every single day to ask for an update (i had been calling them almost everyday for 2 weeks). Prayers are very powerful!😊

Hey guys, Thank you for your responses. I really appreciate it. I will be bringing a copy of the tax return with me to the interview. I plan to attend the interview with my fiance. 
 
Also, this website shows that for the 2 of us the income for fiance visa would be $16,460 and about $20,600 for a marriage visa. I believe it has to be 100% of poverty guidelines for a fiance visa and 125% for a green card. Even though I will have enough money in the bank to show assets for the green card application, I am not sure if they allow it for a fiance visa. I am trying hard to find someone to co-sponsor just to be on the safe side.

If it's just you and your fiance in your household, you should be able to meet the requirement on your income. I would also list your assets on the I-134 just to further push the scales in your favor. 
 
It all comes down to meeting 125% of the poverty guideline for your household size, which you would barely meet.

On June 11th, it was updated on the old website also got a notification from case tracker app that my case was approved. Yesterday I received the NOA2 in the mail and it says the notice date is June 9th (which was a Saturday). So my case must have been approved Friday or earlier and wasn't updated on the website until Monday morning and it was early in the morning when I got the case tracker notification. So, since there were not many updates this Friday, some of you guys might be getting updates on Monday. I remember someone got an approval very early in the morning on Monday even before USCIS office was open. So, hang in there. Some of you might be getting the notices soon.
