All jurisdictions have different requirements for the recording of marriages. In some counties, the officiant is responsible for sending in the completed certificate, and certified copies are not available until recorded by the county, etc.
Okay, thanks for the info.

We took the completed marriage certificate from the officiant and went to the court house and got it registered and got our certified copies within 15 minutes. Mailing it in takes much longer.

I was browsing through Facebook and saw a post, Pakistani Male married to US female. She went back to the USA and he is asking advice on how to file. Everyone on that page is telling him rapid Visa. I am thinking that is going to be a major disaster. I posted he should check out this site for information. My question is, is there anyone from Pakistan who successfully used rapid Visa for the CR1 OR K1 process?

Typically you will get a packet with a DO NOT OPEN envelope inside a plastic sealed bag. On the outside of the plastic bag will be your passport sandwich in a small pocket outside of the packet. You are instructed to make a small slit to retrieve your passport WHILE leaving the plastic bag sealed. That plastic bag now contains only the DO NOT OPEN envelope that you will put in your carry on luggage to keep it safe only to give it to the immigration officer once you arrive at your POE.
I am not sure what yours looks like so I am only speculating from my experiences with our and others.
Tried uploading pics but it didn't work. But I'm good to go, the second package was for me the embassy does not keep originals except for their forms and the medicals. So they gave me back my originals.

I assume Guyana process is the same as Trinidad. The beneficiary needs to print out the payment instructions after completing the DS 160 and registering online. Take that to Scotiabank and make payment. It is not done online. Hopefully someone from Cuba will respond soon.

No envelopes should be opened. Call the embassy and determine if you are ok with opening that envelope or do you need to return to have it resealed.
There was instructions on it for me to open. One said do not open and the other said Open. And there was hand written you can open. I will call the embassy tomorrow to make sure.

@Greenbaum I opened my envelope and there was two envelopes inside it, one stamped do not open and the other had open written on it. I opened it and it contained all the documents I submitted at the interview except the I134. Is this new embassy procedure to return all documents.

Visa in hand!!! We are good to go! Thanks for your help@Greenbaum

The embassy doctor said I had to redo some vaccines even though I was fully vaccinated as a child and had proof of same. I had to redo mmr, chicken pox and tetanus but I'm 39. So I'm not sure how long those shots are valid for.

If there is still anybody in this group... we got finally approved after almost a year waiting! 😦🥴🤗
Congratulations!!! Hope the rest of the journey goes smoothly for you.

Soooooo.....I was actually excited that our case arrived at the embassy......
That obviously was a mistake, it arrived at the embassy on the 14th and no word to date from them. I sent an email today, let's see if they respond. Back to waiting.
293 days to NOA2, 20 days to nvc, 19 days to embassy, at embassy waiting.

We put in an inquiry online. Is there a way/any difference if you “get a tier 2” to put in an inquiry?
You call and ask to speak to a tier 2 and they can put in one for you. It's the same inquiry but we got a more detailed response when we did that and was approved a short while after. It's worth a try.

My embassy finally received my package that left nvc on the 8th, waiting for them to contact me.
