    Hi everyone,

Quick update as we went for green card interview yesterday in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Arrived at 9.50am for appointment time of 10.15am, then waited and didn't get seen until almost 11.10am which was probably the most stressful part as we had both only booked a half day off work.

When we eventually got taken through, the lady interviewing us was really nice, asked us a couple of questions about how we met, and then had my wife ever been to the UK to visit me (I had visited USA something like 24 times during the relationship.) Asked for photos I gave her about 15 that I had printed of the wedding and honeymoon and a couple of things since which she kept in the file. Didn't get asked for anything financial, or leases or anything along those lines. She updated the record that I now had a job. Said it was a super straightforward case and that it would be approved and I would receive the 2 year Green Card in the post in the next few weeks and gave me the link to the information about removal of conditions at the end of that but said she cant see us having any problems since its clearly a bona fide marriage. Probably in there 20 mins maximum (which made up for the long wait!)

Had my green card interview yesterday at 7:30am at the Denver Field Office. We were recommended for approval and was told to wait about 3 weeks or so for the green card to show up in our mailbox. Got a notification this morning that there was a change in my case status. Went to check it out and it says, "New Card is being produced".

    EAD card arrived yesterday

I had started to get worried as it was approved on 15th Feb and the status never changed from 'Your Card is Being Produced' to 'Card Mailed' but NOA showed up in the mail on Friday and then the EAD just showed up yesterday also.

Also Friday I-485 status changed to interview scheduled too!
Great to see some movement and progress!!

Got our letter today in the mail for the approval of I485 Adjust Status and the USCIS website updated that our card had been mailed today also.  Still fighting SS to issue her social security number even though they said it will be mailed within 2 weeks.

Still nervous until I receive anything in the post but so happy!!!

Actually called up USCIS to log an expedite request yesterday as I have a job offer, but thankfully not going to have to go through that process now - phew!

    Received date     30th August 2018

I had made photocopies just in case of need but I kept them all in my bag and they just took the originals and I think took a copy or scanned them as I got all the originals back when I left

Oh it must be when you book the interview you pay then!

I would go ahead and book if I were you, you just need your Case Ref (LNDxxxxxx) which I presume you have since you booked the medical and then one of the confirmation numbers from your DS160 submission.

As one of the other guys said, if the system lets you book it then just do it (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/users/sign_in) - be sure to leave plenty time between medical and interview.

I think I booked my interview for 2.5 weeks after my medical as that was the earliest appointment available anyway!

I interviewed at the start of the month and would say the list is pretty much accurate:

    I needed:

    - Confirmation of DS160 - not the whole form just the confirmation page they provide you with (you can't even enter the Embassy without this)
    - Passport
    - Birth Certificate
    - Original ACRO Police Certificate
    - I-134 Affidavit of support and evidence (I took W2 tax return from last year, letter from employer and payslips but they only took the first two)
    - 1 x US style photo

You don't need anything to do with the fees as they are paid online when you submit DS-160 now, so you wouldn't be there if you hadn't paid.

I also took a spare photo and supporting evidence in case they asked re proof of relationship and confirmation of my choice to pay for Premium Courier delivery (printout of the email).

I didn't get approved on the day as I hadn't got a police certificate from Australia (requirement changed to 6 months + living in another country recently) but I have since sent that in. My status changed from Administrative Processing to Ready yesterday so hopefully all sorted now and waiting for it to be changed to 'Issued' and get the confirmation of the courier.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions

I thought I would add my interview experience as I know that reading others helped me a lot with nerves and preparation:

My interview was scheduled for 11:30, I arrived at 11 and checked in with the friendly girl at the tent, showing her my confirmation email and passport. She directed me through to security where I emptied my pockets - phone, keys and wallet - into the scanner and passed through and was then directed up to the main building. There's a queuing area that says to wait if your appointment is on the half hour with nobody in so I stood awkwardly not knowing if I could just go straight inside or not until I saw one of the girls at the desk waving at me to come in. I handed my DS-160 over and was given a sticker with my number on and directed on to the lift and the 1st floor.

I found a seat in the almost empty immigrant visa section at 11:10 and nervously waited for my number to be called. My number came up at about 11:15 and I handed over my birth certificate, passport, police certificate, affidavit and photo and answered a few basic questions (Have you ever been in the military, adopted, etc). He then asked me how my fiancee and I met and commented on how nice it was that we met 'the old fashioned way' in line to get into a bar. I then did my fingerprints.

I was told to take a seat again and wait for the same number to be called for the interview portion. I was called at 11:34 after listening to a couple of people before me being successful and walked up to meet a very friendly lady with the first American accent I heard on the day. I swore an oath of truthfulness and did my fingerprints again. She asked me how my fiancee and I met, whether that was when we officially started dating, where she lives in the US, whether she has her own place and what she does for work. She then said "Well, everything looks good on this end so you'll have your visa within 1-2 weeks" and that was it. I handed over no financial documents other than the i-134, no further proofs, nothing at all. Called at 11:34, approved at 11:36!

I almost skipped into the lift after saying thank you and goodbye, had a pleasant conversation with the other successful K1s (I was approved before they even managed to call the elevator!) and called my fiancee to try and get my head around what had just happened .

Seriously guys, you have absolutely nothing to worry about!

Just called the NVC, option 7 - the guy advised me they had received the info but it was being processed electronically so to try calling option 5.

Called back and the lady said they had a case ref for me (wahoo!) she gave me this and the invoice number

    NOA2 was April 10th (paper)
