Based on looking through posts, expect biometrics appointment around Sept 10. Then we wait. Anyone else at Potomac? Very little on I601a processing times for Potomac yet?

Update: Just fedex'd a fresh copy of our packet with a new signature... hope it doesn't come back again rejected! and the waiting begins...AGAIN looking on the positive side of having it rejected so soon - I reviewed my packet one more time and went with putting copies of both sides of our certificates... GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

We received our 601a in the mail rejected yesterday (fedex’d it to our local Chicago lockbox 10 days ago). Notice says rejected due to signature needed. My husband, the applicant, signed Part6.a. and we didn’t use a preparer or intrepreter.
1. Anyone know where else he signs? We can not locate another signature block on the 601a... His affidavit and his cover letter are both signed and notarized so they must be taking about the 601a ?
2. Do I have to recopy our entire packet to resubmit once we figure out what signature they are talking about?? It’s not clear on the notice, just says to “correct and resubmit”. Every page came back with a code printed on the bottom and some pages of the petition have scribbles.
I’ve emailed the lockbox email provided on the notice but I am so anxious and confused ! I’ll call tomorrow of course, hopefully can get through to someone 😢

I601A timeline
-Received 1/16/18
-Fingerprints around 2 weeks after don’t know exact date.
-Approved today 9/13/18
I had to call USCIS and they said letter just went out today. Now we wait for NVC.
Any tips while we wait for NVC, anything we might need?

They may ask about the status of any family members and/or their status in the US. I believe the DS-260 asks for their current address as well. There is no paperwork I'm aware of off-hand that requests their status within the US, but as noted the CO can still ask the question and you must answer honestly if they do. It shouldn't have any impact on your visa.
You don't need to disclose information unless it is requested.
Just to clarify...your sister claimed your children as her children? When/Where (i.e. on the DS-160, in the interview, at the border, etc.)? If so, that's potentially a very, very serious offense with a permanent bar (misrepresentation, assuming it is deemed material). Or maybe even alien smuggling?
