Received my NOA2 over 2 weeks ago, just called the NVC to see if there was any progress, they told me the current wait time for a case number is 8 weeks. Just an FYI as i was on hold for a lonnnggggg time lol 

Hey, it's just a generic answer they give you, my fiance was told the same but we got our case number a few days later (idk when extacly but that's when he called). Don't worry:)

Maybe they're just scaring me! I'm going to leave it until next week to call back anyway 

I'm pretty sure this only applies to people looking for work visas i.e they will not provide a visa for somebody to work in america if an american citizen can fill the position. You will legally be allowed to work in the US so this will not affect you

As we're getting so close, do you ever think about how crazy it is that someone has to leave their family and friends and entire life just for love? And then can't even go back for maybe 6 months once they come? I just wish I could wrap my head around why this all needs to be so difficult....so much work, so much pressure, so much to give up. My fiance is so wonderful about the whole thing. He's excited about the change and starting a new life together, but I just wish it didn't have to be SO MUCH! Anyone else feeling this way? Just restlessness after 6 months of waiting maybe??

There have been a handful of December cases approved today kicking off the beginning of approvals for a new month. Hopefully just two short months and we should start seeing some action ourselves!
