Hi,
As I stated in my timeline, after that transferred online update, I got a letter in mailbox, actually said the same thing transferred to another USCIS office, That's about it. After 10 days, it approved my case straightly. Guess what, I got my 10 years green card in mail today!!😀
So, don't worry a lot, once we mailed our case, we depend on USCIS to processing our case, either they need more paperwork from us, either they schedule an interview, either they issue green card, we just wait. I checked the online app daily to see any update. Be patient, if you are confident about your case. Good luck!

Hi VJ fam,
Quick question, my Cond. GC expired 10/15 and I filed pretty much 90 days before that for removal of conditions. I live and work in Chicago currently (case is processing in Nebraska Service Center). I am looking to move to Columbus, OH for work. Wondering how it will affect my timeline and processing location if I move (same, slower, faster?) I know I will have to reverify for work and present my extension letter but apart from that how do you think this potential move would affect my GC process.
Let me know if you have any insight, appreciate your time!
So for the relocation part, I have no info to help you. However, they lost my 2 year GC interview paper notification before. It was such painful to call them, ask to resent, to fax, eventually didn't showed up in mail, we went to interview without interview notification anyway.
This time I changed to a PO box just in case I move during the time period. I think you can search some keyword in VisaJourney.

We don't have a lot of pictures, we don't have children, we haven't brought house yet. Just followed USCIS instruction, provided everything they need you to prove that the marriage is real. Hope those info will help any of you guys.

I think no matter how comprehensive your supporting documents are if you are from a high fraud countries, they want to do more thorough check on you. There are countries where people are willing to do anything to come to US...
That is so true. The documents I filed is only based my own experience back to those years we filed paper works and interviews with USCIS. I didn't say they couldn't file 1000 pages, I just want to share my opinions about normal married couple from same countries, similar age, same culture background, maybe not have to overthinking.

I agree with everything you said. I have spoken to USCIS officers and sat down while they describe all the non-value-add documents they get. I remember once asking an officer for the number of statements to send and the officer telling me "you don't need to send every one, just a sample maybe 1 every 6 months should be sufficient".
I am all for quality over quantity. But if some think having a 500+ page packages satisfy them and will make them sleep better, then go ahead I guess. Oh, you are also correct about how having a child makes the case easy to approve. I said it in another thread I think, but the officer I spoke to explained to me how having a child is almost all the proof they need to approve the case. She also told me that if the couple age, background ( I think she really meant didn't specifically say this, but I think she meant religion, athnicity, etc) and other criterias are similar that it makes it hard.
Me and my husband agreed with you, we followed their instruction, gave them what evidences they need. The bank statement part, I don't think they need to look at every single month, the pictures they don't need to look at 100 photos. They need to see from the documents showing that every single angle of me and my husband's life merge together, financial and residents occupancy, some life photos, our friends described how they believed our true happy relationship.
Two years ago, when we had the 2 year GC interviews, the whole conversation was so easy, the officer only looked at one photos of we gathered at our US citizen friends house. They went trough so many cases in their career, they could tell who's marriage is true or a lie.

Yes - you are still legally able to work. E-verify will show you as a legal permanent resident, so whether you have a "valid" (non-expired) green card, you are still a permanent resident. The only thing you might have issues with is if your driver's license expires on the same day as your green card. You cannot get a new driver's license without a valid green card, I551 stamp, or the I-797C.
Thank you, Kitu. I remembered you, we had similar timeline when we were waiting for 2 years green card interview.

Ha, mine expires on the 24th as well! I believe his status is still fine even after expiration as long as you had filed I-751, the only thing is travel outside of the US won't be possible. "Luckily" we can't do that much with COVID right now anyway......
The only concern for me is if green card expired, can we still working? Worry about our employee gonna ask me extension letter which we haven't got.

About to send off my I-751 packet....planning to FEDEX it tomorrow to AZ Lockbox. Cards expire on 6/8...so sending it a little later than we wanted, but....yeah. Got enough evidence I feel, although slim on utility-type bills, I got seven affidavit letters, joint bank history, tax statements, health insurance statements, evidence of having same primary care doctor, emergency contact sheet, gym membership contract, trip to Canada receipt and boarding passes...boatload of photos showing evidence of time together with friends and family and special occasions.
I notice a few are sending in marriage certificates...which should be on file with the original Green Card application. Is it recommended to resend the marriage certificate? It doesn't say on I-751 Instructions.
HI,
Same here, I'm filling my I-751 this month, my green card will expire on August 03. I'm just wondering if you are still waiting for you extension letter and the green card expired, can you still working?
Thank you!

Hey,
Dont panic,I will tell you my story:
I checked my AOS online said on 06/23 interview was scheduled and will mail me the notice letter.I waited 2 weeks nothing in my new adress mailbox, also we called our old house landlord, the renter right now didn't see any my mail either.I called tier 2 officer several time, they gave me my interview time and location.Asked me to wait for the mail or I can call back until 5 days left ask them to fax me.So,I waited until 5 days left, and the tier 2 officer told me,for some reason they can't access my case,so no fax at all, told me drive to local office earlier and talk with supervisor, explain what happened on my case.
On 08/05 my husband and I just followed the tier 2 officer's words, they let us in and I passed my AOS interview really smooth. After the interview I asked the VO to double check my address in their system,he told me my address has updated, and the GC mail will have the tracking number. On 08/10,which is yesterday,I got my GC.
Good luck, remember don't panic, prepare all your documents for the interview!

It is really important to check the website regularly. Call and speak with another officer immediately. I guess you missed your interview. If it was rescheduled, he would have sent u copy by fax. Call back immediately and see if the second officer will tell you the same thing. Goodluck.
Thanks, our interview schedule on next Friday morning,so I still have time to solve the problem.Waiting for the Level 2 officer call us back now.
