Interview done today.  The immigration officer was courteous and made us feel very comfortable.  He just asked questions to verify the I-485 form data.  Then he asked questions like if my wife was working or not. currently she is not. we did not have joint bank account and he asked if we did and we answered as no.  Over all very simple than I thought.  He gave us a document that states who did the interview and what the out come was.  He said he had checked Review option but he said he will approve by eod today and we will get the approval notice via mail in a week and GC (with 2 year condition) by end of this month.   The extra documents that he asked was the latest tax documents and marriage pictures.

Well neither I nor any of my married female friends even considered changing our names...I think it's probably a demographic thing. We're all young professionals who have established our careers already, and a name change would just be a pointless hassle. My husband also feels like it would be weird for me to change my name to his just because we're married. I guess some people like having matching names, but it's not for everybody! 

i think she still needs to file the returns even thought she did not earn anything.  She would have got all back in the refund.   

Got EAD last week but no interview date.  

Received EAD today.  They have given only one year of validity for the EAD.  Now waiting for SSN.

Getting the SSN today. i looked at informed delivery and it shows a mail from SSN. Thank you to Naes who had put that informed delivery link on his/her signature. 

In the green card appointment letter it says to bring :
- a completed medical examination ...
- a completed affidavit of support (income tax returns/w2 etc) ....
 
My medical exam is still valid and I gave the sealed envelope to customs when I entered the country.
I submitted an affidavit of support when I filled AOS. 
 
Do we have to submit these things AGAIN? Or how does that work :D? Thanks for your help

We got the status updated for AP.  But i think you are good to get the combo card and the two NOAs.

Got our EAD mailed out as per our status update.  Hopefully, we will have it in hand by this weekend and SSN in 2 weeks.  So hang in there.

We were told the same thing when we called last week but by last Friday we got our ead and AP approved and today we got approval notice in mail.  You will get soon too.

One question, since we chose the option of applying SSN using the option in the EAD/485 form, Can some one suggest how long it would take for the SSN to arrive based on experience?

some good news.  Status for EAD and AP changed to Post Decision activity.  I hope we get our combo card soon.

EAD date got retrogressed.  USCIS.gov website was showing that EAD was getting processed for Sept 29th receipt date yesterday.  Today it shows Sept 6th.  Our receipt date is Sept 17th but entered into the system is Oct 10th.  Not sure what the heck is going on with these updates on USCIS.gov site.

I just put an inquiry about my case as they are processing EAD's received one day after mine.  USCIS will respond by 4/13.  Hope EAD get approved before that. 

still waiting.  Sept 17 2018 is my receipt date.  as of today, they are working on sept 17 for EAD.  I am planning to post a query tomorrow as it would have moved to Sept 18 2018 hopefully. 

Another Sept 2018 filer.  As of now status change to "Case is ready for an interview to be scheduled" and it changed on 2/12/2019.  Still waiting for interview notice.  Hope to see this change soon.

Got Packet 3 email on 24th May and we responded with DS 160,  scanned Passport page and check list on the same day.  Now waiting for packet 4. I have updated the timeline as well.
